How To Throw A Slorgtastic Party In 5 Easy Steps!

For those Neopians who are unfamiliar with them, Slorgs are precious little Spooky Petpets found at the Spooky Petpet store in the Haunted Woods. They come in 41 different varieties, including Faerie, Grey, Maraquan and Jelly. There are currently around 80 items associated with Slorgs, including 9 different TCG cards, 4 different adorable Usuki Sets and 10 different plushies. The Slorg also won the PPL, or Petpet Protection League in Week 114! Clearly, Slorgs are definitely one of the best Petpets in all of Neopia.

All great Slorg enthusiasts know that the 3rd day of the month of Storing is when we celebrate those adorable little slimey Petpets. Anybody who's anybody will be throwing and/or attending Slorg Day parties, but how can you host a Slorg Day Party that you know will be super Slorgtacular?

It does not matter if you are a beginner or the most experienced event planner! If you decide to follow my five easy steps, you can be sure that your Slorg Day party will out-Slorg all the rest!

Step One: Determine a Guest List for Your Party

Whether you're inviting the entire world of Neopia, or just a few select Neofriends, determining the guest list is an essential first step to throwing any party, whether it is Slorg related or not. You will want to be sure to take into account the size of your Neohome. A cramped party is a stressful party! If you know that your space is limited, your guest list should be as well. Coming up with a budget for your party is also helpful in determining the number of guests. The amount of Neopoints you are willing to spend on yummy Slorg food and fun Slorg party favors for your guests can help you to decide on how many Neopians to invite.

Step Two: Spread the Word with Flair!

Once you have decided on who will be invited to your Slorg Day Party, it's time to let your guests know about your party and send out the invitations! Party invitations that reinforce the Slorginess of your party will surely be a huge hit. You will definitely want to use green invitations to let your guests know when and where your party will be! Try sending out Slorg Stickers with your invites, and don't forget to attach a Foil Slorg Stamp before you mail them to your guests!

Step Three: Plan Your Slorgy Menu

If I've learned one thing in my years of party planning, it's that when it comes to food for a party, variety is key. Unfortunately, some Neopians are more picky than others when it comes to food choices. Luckily, there are tons of delicious Slorg foods available, so your guests will be sure to find something that suits them! You will probably want to head to the bakery first, as sweets and treats are always the most popular party foods. I highly recommend having plenty of Sugared Slorgs in a number of flavours. My personal favourite is chocolate, but there are plenty of other flavours to choose from, like vanilla, strawberry, marzipan, cherry and blueberry. There are also cute little Slorg Cupcakes, in flavours like voidberry, tangella, plumberry and lime. To drink, Flavoured Slorg Slimes are an absolute must. Try serving cocolatte, tangleberry or thornberry! Whatever you decide to serve, make sure that you have enough for all of your guests.

Step Four: Decorate your Neohome

Decorations are crucial! First, be sure to put a Slorg Signpost in your front yard on the day of your party so that guests know which Neohome is yours. Depending on your budget, you can be as elaborate or as simplistic as you like. If you choose to decorate on the more elaborate side, you could decorate your front lawn with beautiful Pink Slorg Fountains or exquisite Slorg Shaped Topiaries. Once guests enter your Neohome, they will be wowed by your adorable Slorg decorations! Try using some Slorg-inspired green balloons, green garland and green pinwheels to take your party from drab to fab! And don't forget to decorate yourself! Your Slorg Day Party would be incomplete without Slorg Hats for all of your guests. And what about wearing a pair of Slorg Slippers? They're surprisingly comfortable!

Since guests will most likely decide to bring their Slorgs with them to your Slorg Day Party, you will want to be sure to lay down plenty of tarp to cover and protect your carpets from Slorg slime. We all know how messy the trails of slime these little fellows leave behind them can be!

The Final Step: Have Fun!

Obviously, the last step in planning any party is to have fun! Once the party has started, it's time for you, the party host, to relax and enjoy all of your hard work! Try playing games like Attack of the Slorgs or Slorgs in Space during your party and you will keep your guests entertained for hours. For actual Slorgs, try having out fun Petpet toys, like Slorg Padding Pools or Slorg Play Pens. It is their day, after all! After the party, don't forget to send your guests off with adorable Slorg party favors! My typical Slorg Day favors include a Slorg plushie (I usually choose pink because it's the cutest!), a Bouncy Slorg Ball, a Wind Up Red Slorg toy and Slorg Care, an informative book on how to take care of your high maintenance Slorg. Whatever you choose to include, make sure to add a thank you note, thanking your guests for attending your party.
