Mmm, meat. Just the word can make a Lupe's stomach rumble and a Grarrl drool. Meat is (or should be) an important part of every pet's diet. It contains protein to help pets become healthy and strong. Even myself being a Vandagyre, I enjoy eating meat from time to time! It's easy to find in Neopia and there are tons of meat based items!

Certain pets enjoy meat more than others, particularly, Lupes, Jetsams, Skeiths, Grarrls, and pets painted Tyrannian. They have naturally large teeth that were made specifically for meat eating so it's important to give them their daily feast! In this list I will be showing you some of the best meat items in Neopia for your pets. I have divided it into two sections, meat for more casual Neopians and then raw, fleshy, meat that the pets listed earlier would enjoy more.

Modern Dishes

These dishes have been well cooked and are generally tasty for the average Neopian. No worries about chunky bits or it being too chewy; the meat in these items has been cleared of mush and undesirable chunks! They are also great to serve at parties!

5. Cheeseburger and Ultimate Burger

These are classic items, and is it any guess as to why? They are some of the best burgers I have ever tasted! Full of fillings, you'll savor every tasty bite. The Ultimate has double the meat and fillings, making it a good pick if you're extra hungry! They are relatively cheap too, both under 1,000 NP.

4. A Hearty Meal

This is a fairly new item but its taste is amazing! The chicken is cooked to perfection, and as a bonus, you get filling sides of cranberries and mashed potatoes. This is a perfect meal for the holidays, at only around 250 NP!

3. Turkey and Potato Dinner

This wonderful meal comes from the land of Meridell! A fresh turkey drumstick and a ripe potato make for a filling meal. Meridell is actually a land that has some amazingly decent meat, and the ways they cook it are fantastic! Just taste this turkey and you'll wonder how they cook it so well! This great meal is at an estimated 800 NP.

2. Well Decorated Meat

I absolutely adore Altadorian food, and this meal is no exception. This meat has been perfectly roasted and then decorated in the Altador fashion. This meal is perfect for fancy parties or if you just want to have a fancy dinner. Each slice is sure to please even the most picky pet! You can find this fantastic dish for around 400 NP.

1. Light Appetizer

Mmmm, now this is a meal that makes me drool! A plate stacked high with piles of the juiciest steaks and drumsticks! A downside is that this dish might be a little unhealthy, but that doesn't stop it from being delicious! Having this as a treat every once in a while should be fine! And amazingly this pile of meat is only 400 NP!

Plain raw meat

These items are not for the faint of heart. All of these meats are fresh and sometimes not even cooked. Fierce pets can enjoy these and not be grossed out, and the raw protein can be healthy for them too! On another note, you may notice all of these items come from Tyrannia. This is because Tyrannian pets are skilled hunters, and since they cook with fire the meat seems to taste better as well.

5. Meat A La Twig

This small chunk of meat has been very lightly roasted making it a great snack for those tougher pets. It's very chewy as well. I'm not sure WHAT exactly this meat is from, so only eat this if you're feeling brave! A good snack and it's very cheap at the low price of just 8 NP!

4. Gargaraptor Arm and Raptraphant Leg

Yikes! These pieces of meat are full on body parts! But that won't bother some pets, who will gladly chomp down on these. I bravely tried it out, and the meat is actually not that bad! In fact with a little more cooking I'm sure everyone would enjoy the taste of these! The Gargaraptor arm is rather expensive but the Raptraphant leg is more affordable at only 90 NP.

3.Ransaurus Steak

This tasty meat is highly sought after in Tyrannia. The thickness of the meat makes it very chewy, but that's a good thing because it helps you to savor the flavor! There are a few spikes poking out of the meat, but they can easily be avoided. Very yummy, and it's only 200 NP!

2. Meaty Rock Pebbles

I'm not quite sure how to describe this dish because I've never had anything quite like it! Is it cereal? It isn't sweet though, so is it a soup? But it's not warm... well, I'll just say this, it's surprising how the little bits of meat go so well with the pebbles and milk! It's a truly interesting dish and it's sure to please any Tyrannian pet! It costs around 12 NP.

1. Bronto Bite

This large chunk of meat is all the rage in Tyrannia. This giant piece of meat has a large bone sticking in it, making it easy to carry. They are also roasted to perfection over an open fire, making the meat juicy and tender. I picked this item as number 1 because it is truly a delicious, greasy, and meaty experience!

In conclusion there are many types of varieties of meat in Neopia! You are certainly able to find a meal that suits your pets tastes. Just try buying one of the cheap meals listed here and your pet is sure to enjoy at least one of them.
