Who doesn’t love the heartwarming and friendly Earth Faerie of Meridell, Illusen? Well, most of us Neopians sure do! Not only is she helpful to the ones in need (for instance, helping silly Neopians who occasionally get lost in Meridell’s woods), but she is also a lover of nature. On a few occasions, we have sought her out to complete her quests, seen her idling around in her glade, observed her taking care of the exotic and lovely plants in her garden as well as the animals that turn up. Even the lovely creatures adore her too, surrounding her as she sits in her fields enjoying a book. This Illusen Day, we are making a list of our top 10 favourite Illusen items to celebrate her special day and learn more about this lovely faerie. We heard she can make wonders in the kitchen, including this Illusens Family Recipe Cake, made from a secret recipe that was passed down for generations in her family! On occasion, you can find this lovely cake selling in the bakery of Meridell (Mind you, it gets swept up so quickly, it is definitely hard to get your hands on!). We have tried it once. Made from a vanilla and hazelnut base, it is garnished with leaves and mushroom-like decor made from matcha and chocolate. There’s indeed a secret ingredient in this cake that we can’t quite put our taste buds on. We heard she enjoys this every afternoon on a sweltering summer day. Made with a red tea base, it comes with mint and blueberry ice cubes, topped with a slice of lime. We could faintly make out pines and dew as well as we took a whiff. The ingredients of this perfume were specially picked by Illusen herself with her surroundings in mind, of course. It embodies what Illusen loves for sure. Maybe on some special days, Illusen wears… purple? We heard that she got this specially made to attend a colour-themed party and did not want to stand out. We are not too sure. Regardless, this is a dainty yet striking dress, perfect for any upcoming Spring parties and just for frolicking around the flowery hues of Neopia.
