Ranking Random Events

      With so many different random events, I bet most people don't know everything possible all across Neopia! Here are some of my favourite Random Events!

      Jacko the Phantom Painter

      Years ago Jacko & Sons Painting Ltd. company was traded on the Neopian stock market. However, it has since gone bankrupt. Now that Jacko the Phantom Painter has more time on his hands, he runs around giving out Paint Brushes to Neopians! He gives out R101 Paint Brushes and Petpet Paint Brushes! While he won't give you a Baby Paint Brush or any others only available at the Hidden Tower, he could surprise you with a nice Candy Paint Brush or Electric Petpet Paint Brush!

      A Scorchio in a Pointy, Purple Hat

      While this cute Scorchio has no name, he does have a very generous manner! When he shows up, he gives you an R101 - R103 Trading Card that you can put into your album! Trading Cards, also known as TCGs, are digital recreations of real-life cards! They have a lot of information about the different characters represented and honestly are just pretty to look at!

      Collectable Card

      In addition to finding TCG cards, you can find Collectable Cards while wandering Neopia! It's unclear who gives out these Collectable Card, but you can get an R31- R85 Collectable Card from this Random Event! Unlike the TCG Random Event, the Collectable Card Random Event will put the card directly into your album! Make sure you have an album open, otherwise, you won't get the Collectable Card!

      Alien Aisha

      When an Alien Aisha appears, you can have 1 of 2 Random Events. The first is they will give you a gross food. Not very exciting and generally junk. However, sometimes an Alien Aisha will give you a Nerkmid! Nerkmids are a favourite gambling item across Neopia! They have the potential to give out Paint Brushes and overall are just a fun gamble! Of course, you could always sell your Random Event prize, but come on, you know you want a trip to the Vending Machine!

      The Pant Devil's Evil Twin

      Everyone knows of the infamous Pant Devil, taking your items and NPs. But did you know he had an evil twin? The Pant Devil's Evil Twin steals R99 Morphing Potions from his brother and gives them away! That's right, the EVIL TWIN gives away items! Anyway, what greater relief to see a blue character pop up, only to realize it's The Pant Devil's Evil Twin giving you an item!

      Shop Size Increase

      While roaming Neopia, you shop can suddenly increase 1 size! Any shopkeeper knows that expanding your shop starts to get a little pricy! Fear not! If you get this Random Event, you can save yourself a few Neopoints and add more stock to sell!

      The Shop Wizard

      Similar to the shop increase Random Event, The Shop Wizard may come around and grant you a gallery size increase!

      Battle Faerie

      Of course there is always a chance that a Faerie will send you on a quest. Faerie quests will always increase your pet’s Battledome stats. However, sometimes the Battle Faerie will see how well cared for your pet is and swoop down to increase their level or strength, just because! For those of you that have gone through hours of training, you know how exciting this Random Event is!

      Captain Limebeard

      Captain Limebeard is an educational Chia! He tries to teach the other pirates the importance of eating fruits and avoiding nasty cases of scurvy. While he's not educating other pirates, he's spreading the knowledge to other Neopians by handing out R99 Chia Pops! These Chia Pops are Gourmet Foods that you can feed to your pet or turn your Chia into whatever fruit they are!

      Secret Laboratory Map

      While you're climbing Terror Mountain or diving down in Maraqua, you have a chance to find a piece of the Secret Laboratory Map! Any 1 of the 9 pieces of the map could magically fall from the sky! Awesome Random Event, right?!

      Dr. Sloth

      Dr. Sloth, the misunderstood evil genius of Virtupets Space Station, shows up for a few Random Events! Guess he's not so evil, is he?

      The first Random Event gives you a Transmogrification Potion! Transmogrification Potions, and Fountain Faerie Quests, are the only way to paint your pet mutant! Pretty kind of Dr. Sloth to just hand these out!

      The second most sought after Random Event from the great Dr. Sloth is when the Sloth! avatar is awarded! He just shows up, gives you an avatar, and goes about taking over Neopia! I mean, goes about his day. Anyway, the only way to get this avatar is through this Random Event!

      There's 1 more Dr. Sloth related Random Event, and many may disagree that it's a good one. The infamous Sloth's Invasion Tax Random Event will take 20% of your on-hand Neopoints. Don't worry - anything in your shop till or bank account is safe! But if you're carrying large quantities of Neopoints, you could lose a big chunk! Now, why is this a good random event? Because if he takes enough, you may qualify for the Sloth's Invasion Tax High Score and win a trophy! So yes, it does stink to lose Neopoints in a Random Event, a shiny new trophy helps to cushion the blow!

      Tax Beast/Angry Tax Beast

      While we're on the topic of taxes, there are two more Random Events that take Neopoints but potentially award a trophy!

      First there's the Tax Beast. A green fellow that will take 10% of your on-hand Neopoints. Again, anything in your shop till or bank account is safe. If he takes enough, you could end up with a Tax Beast Trophy!

      When the Tax Beast gets annoyed, he becomes the Angry Tax Beast! The Angry Tax Beast takes 25% of your on-hand Neopoints. I'll admit, that one hurts. But you have a chance at yet another trophy, the Angry Tax Beast Trophy!

      I agree, losing a lot of Neopoints in a Random Event isn't so great, but these trophies are hard to come by!

      Gordos the Collector

      Gordos is the tax collector of Altador. Don't worry, this isn't another Random Event that will take your Neopoints. Instead, Gordos will inspect your stamp album! Should he deem it pathetic, he will give you an R92-R98 stamp! The stamp will show up in your inventory, not your album. Therefore you have the option to album it or sell it! As an avid stamp collector, this is easily one of my favourite Random Events!

      Fashionable Acara

      Neocash items are super fashionable and the Fashionable Acara understands that! If you catch her walking around Neopia, she could give your pet 50 NC to shop with at the NC Mall! Make sure you dress your pet up proudly!

      The Faerie Queen

      The Faerie Queen, Fyora, is so kind and generous to Neopians! Not only does she share her items with all of Neopia at the Hidden Tower, but she gives a discount! That's right! If you get The Faerie Queen Random Event, she will give you 10% off any one item from the Hidden Tower! And even better, this discount doesn't expire! If you're working hard towards a Baby Paint Brush, or trying to save up for a Supreme Deluxe Faerie Queen Doll, the discount will still be there when you're ready to make your purchase!

      There you have it! Those are some of, in my opinion, the best Random Events in Neopia!
