Quote of the Week
”What do you mean she's the key to it?!" Sinisal said in bewilderment. She hadn't expected it to be this easy and truthfully neither did Diakumablo, although he tried to appear like he did.
"Exactly what I said." Zyerii said. Alyss looked down at her feet uncomfortable with being the centre of attention. "You see, I initially didn't come here because of the problems with magic. That only became my goal when I ran into Alyss here. As you can see, Alyss is a typeless Faerie, but she says she's been having dreams about a place called Ars Arcanium and she explained to me what Ars Arcanium is." Zyerii explained.
"I think, Ars Arcanium may have something to do with what kind of Faerie I am destined to be." Alyss said.
Cheap 16th Birthday Celebration!
If you’re anything like me, you’re likely saving your Neopoints for some huge purchase you will probably never be able to afford. Or maybe you spend most of your Neopoints before they even hit the bank. Either way, good for you! *high-fives* However, it can be a real bummer if you want to mark a special occasion (oh, I don’t know, say like a certain site’s 16th birthday?) but you don’t want to, or can’t afford to, break the bank to do it. |
Werelupes: Myth, Legends, and Truth
What do you think of when you hear the word "Werelupe"? More than likely, you think of a large and powerful beast filled with fury and the desire for bloodshed. You think of a horrible monster dwelling in the Haunted Woods that will hunt you down as soon as look at you. What if I told you that this was not the case? Well, sort of.
My name is Inona, your everyday Usul researcher. I, like many, have had a longstanding interest in the illustrious Werelupe, but real research on these fascinating creatures is incredibly scarce. |
| Unique Spooky Foods
Everyone's familiar with Spooky Foods - the spookiest, most peculiar and disturbing foods of them all. (A lot of them are Gourmet Foods, believe it or not... The shopkeeper must have bribed a Gourmet Club official, if you ask me.) But some Spooky Foods are more unique than others. Sure, gummy rats are spooky, but there are three different kinds. Not very unique, right? And I couldn't tell you how many of those foods come from ghosts... Those aren't very special either. No, here I'll show you the strangest, spookiest, most unique foods ever to come out of the Haunted Woods. Ready? Here we go. |

"What Are Ghouls?" by cannizarro After yet another successful unhaunting, Brave Bren, the Professor, and Glyn were heading back to the Ghoul Catchers headquarters to recoup.
Bren held the used equipment, the Professor held the lantern, and Glyn held the amulet containing the troublesome ghoul that they'd just been chasing for half an hour. As the Purple Usul stared down at the amulet and the forlorn face circling around on the inside, a strange question suddenly came to mind.
"What are ghouls?"
"Well, Glyn, ghouls are...egh..." the Professor began, stopping to contemplate this.
"Annoying," finished Bren with a smirk.
"No, no, that's not what I was trying to say," the Professor groaned. "The fact is, Glyn, we really don't know what exactly they are."
"You don't?" Glyn asked, rather surprised by this confession.

"Library of Kindness" by misty_lax ”Rangeant, you're late again." Captain Threelegs muttered in front of the class.
"I'm sorry Captain Threelegs. I overslept." I laughed as I walked through the Academy's classroom, walking to my seat. Captain Threelegs continued discussing the lesson while I was busy preparing things.
That was what I called a normal day. Getting scolded by Captain Threelegs was a regular occurrence, no matter how irrational it was. Doesn't he know how far Terror Mountain is from Krawk Island? I wish there was an academy near my home. My parents enrolled me in this school telling me that I would learn a lot from Captain Threelegs.
"I will be handling your homework for today. Make sure you finish your homework when you get home later." Captain Threelegs told the class after the bell rang, before stomping out of the room.

"The Faerie Queen" by sacados ”I think I see a castle up ahead…we’re almost there!”
Lacey squealed with excitement. She was finally going to Faerieland! It had always been Lacey’s dream to visit Faerieland, and now it was being made possible thanks to her class field trip. She and her classmates had learned all about the land’s history—how it once floated in the sky upon cloud tops, but now rests peacefully on Neopia’s surface. She had become somewhat obsessed with Faerieland soon after learning about it. Lacey was a faerie Neopet herself, after all, so she felt a connection to the land and wanted to discover everything it had to offer.
