Week Two - The Semifinals

Match One: Electric Blue Monkey vs. J. Boogie

 And then there were four... as if a match between J. Boogie and Electric Blue Monkey weren't exciting enough, add in the fact that there's a spot in the Cup Finals on the line and you've got the ingredients for an all-time classic. In the early going, this one certainly didn't disappoint, as EBM jumped out to a 2-0 lead, only to watch Boogie storm back and even things up at 2-2. Then, with a minute and a half left in the first period, Electric Blue Monkey added another goal to take a 3-2 lead into the half.

The second half began much as the first did; EBM tallied a pair of goals, then J. Boogie rallied for two goals of his own. And so, with a minute left in the match, The Boogie Man desperately needed a goal to tie the match. However, sensing the desperation of his opponent, Electric Blue Monkey moved in for the kill, scoring a pair of late goals to secure a 7-4 victory. After the match, J. Boogie congratulated EBM on his thrilling victory, and wished him luck in the Finals.

Match Two: Mr. Roboto vs. Blind Justice

 After destroying the competition in league play, many picked Mr. Roboto as the favourite to take the Cup. However, Roboto had just faced a close call in the Quarterfinals against Mr. Insane. Would he return to form in the Semifinals, or would Blind Justice pull off an upset? As the action got underway, Mr. Roboto struck first, scoring thirty seconds into the match. But then, Blind Justice roared back to tie the match at 1-1. Moments later, Roboto added a goal to regain the lead, but once more Blind Justice fought back to even it up at 2-2. Just before the half, Roboto added a third score to take a slim 3-2 lead.

At the start of the second period, the two went at each other with everything they had; each time Mr. Roboto scored, Blind Justice would pull it together and respond. However, just as he'd done in the first half, Roboto was able to outscore Blind Justice 3-2, giving him a hard-fought 6-4 victory. So now, Mr. Roboto will advance to face Electric Blue Monkey for the right to take home The Krawk Island Cup.
