So, you think you're and experienced Neopian. You have great pets, and huge
shop, and a showcase of trophies.
Or, maybe you're in the lower class, and haven't been playing long. Your pets
may not be the strongest, but they're still ~very~ special. In either case,
don't you think your pets deserve a place to live? ~You~ wouldn't want to spent
your days wandering the streets, would you? But what can you do?
That's why I'm writing this article: to tell you about NeoHomes
and why you should have one. If this article gets published, I will be following
it with more, on what kind of NeoHome to build, and how to furnish and improve
it. But, first you need to buy a plot of land. That's what I'll be talking about
today - the best place to build your NeoHome. And, since that's will be the
main occupants, I decided to ask the opinions of my pets, Emyri (a faerie Poogle),
Myrrhoo (a cloud Kau), KimiKaei (a glass Shoyru), and Milahana, (a silver Zafara).
There are many different locations, ranging from Neopia Central to Faerieland.
Each has their own benefits and drawbacks, including price. So, if you REALLY
want that mansion in Faerieland, but don't have enough NP, you may have to wait
a while. However, the less expensive areas are also cool. Make sure to discuss
it with your pets before making a decision, as you won't be able to change your
mind later.
Neopia Central - This is definitely the cheapest land, at only 1000
NP But it is also rather crowded...
Emyri: Well...it is rather crowded and busy, but there is also a lot of action.
Good if you like walking everywhere, I guess.
Myrrhoo: It's NOISY! How can you ~sleep~?
KimiKaei: Hmm....I don't see any high places to dive-bomb emyrci from... But
Khenshi lives in Neopia Central...so it's cool by me!
Mi'hana: It reminds me of where I was living before you adopted me, emyrci.
I didn't LIKE the pound...
Mystery Island - If you like living by the ocean, or in a tropical jungle,
this is the place for you! Very affordable, too, at only 2500 NP Though there
were those rumours about the cannibals...
Emyri: There are too many trees. There isn't enough room for flying. :(
Myrrhoo: CANNIBALS?! No thanx!
KimiKaei: Cannibals? Cool! Why couldn't WE live there?
Mi'hana: You'd be living right next to the training school! That'd be neat!
Tyrannia - If your pets are interested in history, the prehistoric life
might be right for you! If you own a Pteri, Skeith, Chomby, or Grarrl, they
would love to go to their homeland for only 3500 NP
Emyri: Have you seen the FURNITURE? Eew...what a selection would you prefer
death by rock, stink, or itching?
Myrrhoo: OK, I guess....for a dinosaur!
KimiKaei: I don't LIKE that Lupe. He always growls at me. *innocent look* ~I~
wouldn't steal his omelette...
Mi'hana: Are you SURE that giant Grarrl won't step on me?
Spooky Woods - For the thrill of your life, why not buy land in this
haunted forest for only 5000?
Emyri: There's a mutated Chia in there! He said he wanted to fight me! *shivers*
Is mutant-cy contagious?
Myrrhoo: That's OK...I get quite enough...er...'thrills' just living with Kimi...
KimiKaei: Cool! I bet I could really scare emyrci in a place like this...
Mi'hana: That Esophagor is creepy! He wants a Zafara tail!
Lost Desert - If you like warm weather, mystery, and exotic foods, this
is the place for you! That is, if you have 7500 NP to spare...
Emyri: Our NeoHome there is so cool! But I'm STILL waiting for my own room...
Myrrhoo: It's in the desert. Kahumet is desert. *gets dreamy look* What can
I say? I love it!
KimiKaei: I don't think Coltzan's ghost likes me. He wouldn't give me anything.
All I did was jump off his obelisk...
Mi'hana: It's cool! But NEVER accept dares to go into the Pyramid Maze from
your older sisters....I got lost in there!
Terror Mountain - If you enjoy snowball fights and slushies, this is
where you should make your home - for 15000 NP
Emyri: Love it! I heard that's where the Poogle Racers train! emyrci, could
~I~...
Myrrhoo: It's HIGH. And COLD. And WHY is it called Terror Mountain?
KimiKaei: Living next to the Snowager would be so cool! I bet I could *ahem*steal*ahem*
a lot more stuff that way...
Mi'hana: Cool! Just stay away from the mountain top, if you don't want to practice
cliffhanging...
Faerieland - Last, buy certainly least, costing a whopping 25000 NP
Still, very classy, right next to the Employment Agency and the Wheel of Excitement...
Emyri: It's Faerie! It must be cool!
Myrrhoo: What happens if you accidentally walk off the edge...
KimiKaei: No, Myrr....You don't walk off...you JUMP off!
Mi'hana: Right next to the Faerie Queen's tower! Is EVERYTHING about Faerieland
so expensive?
So, in conclusion, it's your (and your pets'!) choice. Obviously, if there
isn't room in your budget, don't go for Faerieland. Personally, my pets and
I decided on the Lost Desert. But it's really up to you, so think about what
seems best for your pets. And, once you've bought your land, don't forget to
