Chombies are a staple that is the top of the list
Of things of Tyrannia your are not to miss

Chombies are friendly, hungry Pets
Vegetation will always have their eyes set
As long as there’s not Fungus Balls there
For that will give most Chombies a scare

Their stature is tall, sturdy and chunky
Their nature is kind, friendly and nerdy
Most are shy and will hide from new faces
Push past that hesitance your friendship will go places

While we pass by Chomby Day
Celebrate happily, every which way
If you wonder what’s an activity to do
The best thing you can do is add one to your crew!

The Gentle Giant

In the ancient jungles
just south of the Plateau
lives a mighty creature
worth getting to know.

When you first meet him,
he might act quite shy.
But he's gentle in nature
and wouldn't hurt a Batterfly.

Because of his size
he has nothing to fear,
as long as a Fungus Ball
never comes near.

He loves vegetation,
never misses a meal.
In between grazing,
he spins a mediocre wheel.

His species is ancient
and was not always known,
until through the Ice Caves
a pathway was blown.

So who is this gentle giant
and why mention him today?
He is the incomparable Chomby
and today's his species day!

Come One, Come All to the Chomby Carnival

Come one, come all, gather around,
For the very most fun anywhere can be found.
Today is the day we await all year,
The Chomby Carnival is finally here!

Celebrate the Neopet with a heart of pure gold,
Gentle giant Chombies bring joy to young and old. 
In their honour, we have a day of great fun planned,
Revelry abounds throughout every Neopian land.

Food stalls are serving Chomby Dogs and Chomby Chips to eat,
Each cart brimming with delicious Chomby Day themed treats.
There are games to play like Sakhmet Solitaire,
And Jelly Blobs of Doom if you so dare.

Shows are happening all day long.
The Mynci acrobats can do no wrong.
From Roo Island, the Jolly Jugglers are here,
Leaving viewers clapping and whooping in cheer.

Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for,
The Chomby parade begins with a roar!
Wee Baby struts out offering onlookers a bashful wave.
Dimensional dances around ready for a fun rave. 

Fire blazes with excitement for the crowd,
While Grey mopes along thinking: isn't this all quite loud?
The Royals walk together headdresses blowing in the breeze,
Stealthy strolls about with practised confidence and ease. 

Every colour has its chance to shine and take centre stage,
Leaving the revellers overjoyed, Neopians smiling of every age,
And when the day's festivities have finally come to an end,
Everyone has renewed love for their dearest Chomby friend.

My Chomby Isn’t Shy!

You might think that my Chomby is shy,
until you hear his mealtime war cry!
Great forests are rendered to little swamps,
all by the power of his mighty chomps!

His neck stretches out swift and long,
all the better to sing his songs!
For once he sees you as a true friend, 
the laughter and fun have no end!

No! He won’t cower like a tender faun, 
but play and play until break of dawn!
My Chomby loves to act the clown,
and for that reason he deserves his crown!

But one thing will make his big heart race;
in fact he might run off without a trace!
For although my Chomby is strong and tall, 
he can’t stand the sight of a Fungus Ball!

Milo's game

There they were, floored
On the Tyrannian Plateau
Nothing to do, very bored
The hours were going by so slow

No idea what they were going to do
Until Milo flicked a rock into a Symol Hole
Their enthusiasm only grew
So excited they made a capriole

That’s how they invented the game
With a stick and some rocks
They only needed to aim
Even better than eating hotdogs

Soon the game became very well-known
The earned a lot of neopoints 
Milo and Gif’n celebrated with a peabone
And they played until it hurt their joints

Admiral Blackbeard

The finest pirate that you ever did see,
Is Admiral Blackbeard, the fearsome Chomby. 
By day, the commander of his galleon,
By night, the food club champion.

Bar none a first-rate admiral,
The love between him and his crew, bilateral. 
Sailing the vast Neopian seas, 
He cannot get enough of the salty sea breeze. 

But when not upon his mighty boat,
You can find him getting quite bloat. 
A food club veteran for the ages,
It’s hard to find those who outstages. 

Give him fruit, maybe an Appriberry?
An Aguenna, a Blurf, or just a plain cherry. 
He’ll gobble them up fast as can be,
They’ll be gone in seconds, you’ll see. 

And vegetables? They’re no match. 
He’ll eat an Ummagine or even cucumber eye patches!
Fruit and veg are his favourite, there is no doubt,
When they’re on the menu, he gives a happy shout!

But dairy, that’s Admiral Blackbeard’s flaw,
He’ll say no to that milkshake, even with a straw. 
Ice cream or cheese? That’s a pass.
If he eats it, he’ll end up with some gas!

Admiral Blackbeard is one fine Chomby. 
A pirate, a sailor on the seas,
And a fine food club adversary;
Just please, don’t give him dairy!

A Crown of Soot

A Chomby governs, solemn in his vow,
no crown but soot upon his brow;
greeting kindly to all who enter.

He walks the halls where great gears turn,
where molten rivers twist and churn,
and listens as the engines purr.

Each day the mayor tends machinery,
softly pleading, “Do not fail on me.”
Though truth be told, he’s no amateur.

finds in their faults no cause for blame,

who keeps its rhythm steady and sure.

Is a frightening guy

Despite his appearance
He's a true friend to the end

His stature is massive
His hair unruly
But his hearts thrice as big

My Baby Chomby

Long ago around Year 4
I found a Pet that I adored
With spiky tail and sturdy feet -
A Chomby was the one for me!

I waited for their special day
While saving points to pave the way
I gathered lots of plants and treats
Like Terry Berries, small and sweet

I gathered Cactus Blossoms, too
And dreamed of all the things we’d do
I’d keep her safe from fungus balls
And take her to the Concert Hall!

Then one day, I gasped in shock -
The morphing potion price had dropped!
What once had felt a hopeless dream
Was easier than it had seemed

With joy and awe, I bought the the vial
And saw my Pet's new tail and smile
Suddenly, her smirk emerged
The purchase had been worth the splurge!

“Welcome home, my sweet Chomby!”
I said to her with youthful glee
At last, my childhood wish came true
My favourite Pet had joined the crew!

The Duality of Admiral Blackbeard

Although most my battles are fought at sea,
Other challenges are fought on the land;
I am a pirate and while that may be,
My Food Club rivals I also command.

Fruits and vegetables I will devour;
Even dairy I will somehow endure.
In awe my competition will cower,
This old Chomby is so strong and demure.

Truth be told, I have always loved eating;
The taste made fonder after journey's end.
When the sea has given me a beating,
There is nothing that some good food can't mend.
