My Chocolate Mynci Gnome
by Binky1260

In the lush and lovely garden
That surrounds my Neohome,
Stands a mysterious wee fellow...
The Chocolate Mynci Gnome.

With a pointed hat and elfish shoes,
And a beard down to his knees,
He cuts a strange and funny sight
Among the verdant trees.

By day he stands as still as stone,
A twinkle in his eye,
The silent centurion who longs for fun
When the night is nigh.

For, I like to imagine that,
When night replaces day,
And the stars are brightly shining,
My gnome comes out to play.

Frolicking with abandon,
Evening creatures join in the fun;
He dances and cavorts about
Until the light of dawn.

And when the dark of night is done,
And the stars are tucked away,
My faithful little garden gnome
Stands watch another day.

Spirits Of The Obelisk
by Kaddiez

Deep within the Obelisk,
Six spirits rose from rest.
Stirred awake by sounds of war
To prove which faction best.

The Death,
Rampant among the Awakened.
Surrounded by those undead,
But feared to be forsaken.

The Greed,
A vice belonging to the thieves.
Brush it off as mischief,
But still steal beyond their means.

The Envy,
Which feeds upon the Order.
Magic lights a spark to fight,
But tends to yearn for stronger.

The Wrath,
Which burns among the Brutes.
Desires fueled by seeking strength
Can reveal a savage truth.

The Apathy,
Which hides within the Seekers.
Knowledge leads to power,
But makes the passion weaker.

The Pride,
Which runs throughout the Sway.
Shadows try to work as one,
But conceit gets in the way.

The Death, the Greed, the Envy
Wrath, Apathy, and Pride;
Each specter a reflection
Of fears that dwell inside.

Our Utopia
by Comawhite333

Where it's always the norm
To eat food with cute faces;
Where you can travel in the blink of an eye
To various places.

Where faeries prance around
Granting you quests;
Where Petpetpets are sought after
And not considered pests.

Where you can wear facepaint
And it's all the rage;
Where everyone is treated as equals,
No matter their age.

Where you can win the Beauty Competition,
No matter your size;
Where you're not considered gross
For eating Eyeball Pies.

Where people are always generously helping
Others in need;
Where you get rewarded with intelligence
For every book that you read.

Where you can visit anytime
Without having to wait in a Slorgish-paced line;
Where you can get a few expensive leftovers
In the places that you dine.

Where board games are civil
And not an all-out brawl;
Where we can shop at any hour
At the Neocash Mall.

Where can you find
This amazing utopia?
Only in the virtual world
Known as Neopia.

On The Hook
by Yin_yang105

Today's the day, for sure,
I'll bring the best one back --
the biggest fish you ever saw,
and mount it on a plaque.

I've been practicing for weeks,
my fishing skills are strong,
with my trusty rod and bait
I won't be here for long!

With a perfect, well-aimed cast,
the hook sinks out of sight.
I watch the surface closely
for a sign of a bite.

At last I feel a tug;
the line quickly disappears.
Now it's time for a fight,
and I have to hold in my cheers.

The end of the line is heavy,
what could it possibly be?
A Titanic Giant Squid,
or a Lesser Spotted Fish Plushie?

It's quite the hard struggle,
but when it's all through
I'm disappointed yet again.
It's just an old, rotten shoe.

A Single Drop Of Morning Dew
by Tttxyv

A single drop of morning dew
Rolls off a leaf and onto you;
Makes you look up, take a moment to think;
How much passes by: each second, each blink.

You see autumn leaves fall,
'Pets at the NC Mall,
Shopping for coming weeks;
The excitement level at its peak.

You decide to slow down,
Maybe look at a gown
Or a wearable trinket or two;
There's just so much to see, to do.

You walk in, feel a brush of warm air --
So many shops, you can't help but stare.
Finally, after countless hours,
You come out, boxes stacked
In your arms like towers.

You smile as the cool autumn breeze
Whips through your jacket,
And up to your knees;
Everyone else, laughing and talking with you...
And it all began with a single drop of dew.
