Today we'll be debating about Krawk
Island.
egold: That's right. Just a little more then a week ago, the pirate-filled
world of Krawk Island was released. It means good news to Neopians, but what
about the Krawks? We have spacegold on the scene right now. Spacegold?
spacegold: Yes egold. As you can see here, there a millions of wild Krawks.
These Krawks are very popular PetPets, and many visitors will take one home.
We ask the Krawks how they feel about it.
Krawks: We feel very upset. People have been picking us up just for the 98,000
NP price tag.
egold: Spacegold, there are so many Krawks now, why haven't the price decreased?
spacegold: Well egold, these Krawks are very expensive indeed. However, they
also are good fighters. Most NeoPets would have to freeze them or something
else just to make them listen.
Krawks: Brrr! Frozen! Brrr! Cold!
egold: Thanks spacegold. Please, people, don't try and adopt the ferocious
Krawks on Krawk Island, please only take Tyrannian Krawks into captivity.
epk: Speaking of other worlds, I got splashgold, our Aquatic Explorer, on the
scene of Maraqua's Destruction. What does the destruction have to do with the
location of Krawk Island?
splashgold: Well, the whirlpool has slowed down quite a bit, enough to navigate
deeply. Down there I've been able to discover a secret trapdoor. Using the mechanical
genius of Koi I was able to pick the lock and navigate deeper. Down there was
the secret door to Sloth's Underwater Lair, which barely stood up in the whirlpool.
I found the secret chamber Prof. Chesterpot was in when Sloth kidnapped him.
Inside there was what looked like a flat Kiko. I opened it up, only to find
that it was the skin of a Kiko, possibly Captain Dread's, the skeleton Kiko
who supposedly made Maraqua vanish. Looking deeper, I found a book labeled Kiko.
Day 1: Potion unsuccessful. Experimental Kiko 0001 let go. Kiko 0001 now has
a skeleton shape, his skin is still here, in the lair. Day 2: Discovery that
Kiko 0001 has magical powers over the Krawk. Day 3: VirtuPet version of Kiko
discovered, must sell out soon.
egold: So Sloth was still in his lair after he attempted to takeover Maraqua?
splashgold: Possibly. He also knew about Krawks, a PetPet discovered about
half a year after his attempt to destroy Maraqua. Other things he knew about
before us were the Lost Desert and the Ski Lodge. What else he knows about Neopia
is still to be uncovered.
egold: Do you think Sloth intended for Maraqua to be destroyed?
splashgold: Most likely not! He wanted Maraqua for it's strength in Industry.
But I haven't finished my story either. As I was leaving I saw a white flash
in a window, followed by a lot of green ones. A felt the walls cave in, so a
picked up as much as information as I could and escaped. I've resurfaced now.
epk: Glad you're okay.
egold: spacegold, do you think those flashes were important in the caving in
of the lair?
spacegold: What time was this splashgold?
splashgold: 2:30 PM.
spacegold: Creepy...during that time some Krawks started to run towards the
Northwest point of the island and started swimming...
egold: Do you think?
splashgold: Captain Dread tried to destroy me?
egold: Uh-huh.
spacegold: It wouldn't surprise me. If he had power over PetPets, this monster
is not to be underestimated.
epk: Err...I thought of something.
spacegold: What?
epk: I was talking to the Pirate Public Speaker, Glug Glug Jones, and he said
they had made a deal with the Krawks that they'd take one half of the island
and the Krawks' half would be undisturbed, however, there half could be walked
on by the Krawks. But how pirates have more land then 50%.
spacegold: You mean the Kiko took over the Krawks for more land?
epk: Yes.
egold: Hmm...what would happen if the Kiko lost his power over you, Krawks?
Krawks: He know of no power over us.
egold: Maybe the Kiko gave you amnesia?
Krawks: Well then, chomp!
egold: Save me a bite!
splashgold: I could use his finger in my Mom Collection. (Memories of Maraqua)
Heh heh.
spacegold: I used to be a servant of Sloth. If he did something to this Kiko,
I'd like it to survive...
egold & splashgold: NO WAY!
spacegold: Give me a finger too.
