The traitors
After attending to the task she was given, Isadorafae was carefully making
her way to a secret chamber located deep within the catacombs of the castle.
"Sheesh, I hate this forsaken place," she complained to herself out loud.
No one had seen her vanish from the hallway upstairs, nor heard her as she muttered
curses more appropriate for sailors than for ladies of court, as she climbed
down the worn dirt steps towards her destination. Isadorafae hoped the person
she was meeting had already arrived, for she didn't want to be noticed as missing
from the castle above. Reaching the bottom of the staircase, she hastily found
the hidden switch, and a part of the wall opened, revealing the secret chamber
she sought. Calling upon her natural talents she produced an orb of fire to
light her way.
Inside revealed what she hoped for. Sitting impatiently at a table was a huge
and ugly looking Skeith. He was blue in color, his spikes and midnight black.
It was smiling and she could see dirty sharp teeth within its gaping maw.
"I see you found your way, I hope for your sake you were not seen," Isadorafae
inquired of her guest.
"Yes, yes your ladyship," the harsh reply came. Standing up the Skeith crossed
the room and took her hand, kissing it lightly.
Pulling her hand away abruptly, she gave her courtier a mean glare.
"Enough of that!" She went to the now unoccupied chair and sat herself down.
"What news have you brought me from the camp?" She said demandingly.
"Well, I can tell you this Isy." Totally ignoring her look of outrage. "They
think the Queen's are stupid, that's for sure. Babes still in swaddling, I do
believe Gorlaz put it." Giggling he pulled a bottle of strange liquid from within
his tunic. "Mind if I change into something a little less horrid?"
"Yes, please do, those teeth of your are starting to turn my stomach." He
unstopped the bottle and drank deeply.
"Ah good to the last drop I always say." No sooner had the words been uttered,
then suddenly a puff of smoke appeared and then there stood a handsome young
elf. Skyshine had long green hair; the color of newly sprouted leaves and birch
colored eyes. Tall but yet not muscular in stature, he had a scholar's body.
He had been a friend to Isadorfae since childhood he understood her quiet, thoughtful
nature for that was his own as well. Well except for the tiny fact he had gone
a little crazy, from solitude with his wizards tower.
"I do believe you enjoyed your adventure Sky, a little to much. How you even
remember what form to morph back into is beyond me." Skyshine was her top spy.
Due to his studies with the young kau Kauvara, the magic shopkeeper in the mainland,
he could brew any magic morphing potion needed to complete his missions.
"It's easy and really quite fun. Though there were a few times I thought that
old Gorlaz was going to enjoy me for lunch." Grimacing at the reminder.
"So he truly eats his own kind, how barbaric." Envisioning the sight within
her mind, Isadorafae's stomach heaved. "What a grim picture that brings to mind."
"Try seeing it first hand." By the look on Sky's face he totally felt the
same queasy feeling. Handing her a detailed report, he sat down across the table.
Scanning the report quickly, making quick mental notes on what was important
and what was just Sky's dramatic flair for words, she rolled up the parchment.
"Good, just what I expected." Satisfied with the report she stood up, embraced
Sky in a warm hug. "Thank you my dearest friend, what would I do without your
talents. I must hurry and let my family know of this news, before they'll blunder
in and get themselves killed."
"Take care Isy, my heart is still only yours." With that Skyshine turned towards
the way he had sneaked in and disappeared into the shadows.
"I hate it when you do that!" She called after him.
"I know." And a wicked laugh was all she heard in reply.
Finally making her way back to her rooms, again totally unseen, she cleaned
herself off and quickly changed into a uniform. Making sure she looked good,
she made her way to the war room. When arrived she noticed that the guards had
been doubled. Standing by the huge oak doors was, Adonis DarkFire and Alt'gr.
Adonis was a very muscular and tall human, a rarity within the realm, for most
companions living here tended not to be human. With shortly kept blonde hair
and forest green eyes, Adonis was very handsome and he knew it, since he was
the object of many a ladies fancy in the castle. Alt'gr was just as equally
stunning for a human. She wore her almost floor length auburn hair in a tight
braid, though usually only while on duty, her bright smoke blue eyes were entrancing.
A good foot shorter than Isa, which was rare in her race, but suited her frame
well. Smiling warmly Alt'gr greeted Isadorafae.
"Welcome my Lady, your Cousins were wondering were you had been. They will
glad that you turned up." 'Shoot!' Isa thought. 'I must have tarried longer
than I intended to.' "They are in the courtyard, about to leave, you should
hurry there." Alt'gr finished.
"WHAT! They mustn't leave without knowing the information I have gathered!"
Frantic Isa ran from the guards and sped towards the courtyard. Moving as quickly
as she could, screaming orders to stop the Queens at once to anyone ahead of
her. Gasping she was about to descend the last set of stairs when she crashed
into S'talon. Pearly white teeth peeked from a mouth surrounded by ebony skin,
as he smiled at her.
"Where are you off to in such a hurry my lady?" he questioned, brushing his
clothes off and running a hand through his curly silver locks. Green eyes pierced
her to the very core she stood frozen.
"I - I need to s-speak with my with cousins at once. If they leave here without
the information I have all is lost!" she stammered.
"Oh is it?" Suddenly he ceased her arm. "Good, Gorlaz will be pleased to know
that I have stopped them from getting help. You will be coming with me my lady."
S'talon then produced a potion and forced her to drink it. She fell immediately
to sleep.
"Good now I can get you out of here without a scene." He whispered into her
ear. Unknown to him a pair of equally piercing green eyes, had witnessed the
whole scene before her. 'I have to get Shyral!' Teasha then hurried to Shyral's
rooms crying the whole way.

End, unless, of course the Skeith made a copy of it before he devoured
