The third part of the competition was arriving and Kihalai shivered at the thought. Midnight was also approaching and so was 2 AM. Kihalai bit her lips as she sat at home thinking about what to do. The 1 million Neopoints didn't matter anymore. The cheaters didn't matter either, and nor does anything. All that mattered was Kerusta and getting him off the ship alive. Kihalai gave a small sob and knew that she couldn't be in the water for too long or the hourglass will be filled with water and she would start all over again.

When 2 AM arrived, Kihalai arrived at the dock too. She hid on the ship as it started out of the sea. She was on the back of the ship, where the hidden bombs were. There were footsteps all the time and her heart to leap to her throat. The clock was ticking and Kihalai knew that she didn't have much time, but everyone was so alive and around that she couldn't move anywhere near the cage where Kerusta was. The clock ticked on and at 2:14 AM, everyone was running around finishing their jobs. When 2:18 approached, the NeoPets were tired and everyone shot off to their beds. A splash told Kihalai that the time was near and that Rinsko had jumped off the ship. She quickly ran to Kerusta and burst into the room.

"My angel," whispered Kerusta as Kihalai quickly opened the cage with the keys on the desk.

There were only a few seconds left and Kihalai was only able to say, "No time," as she and Kerusta jumped off the ship. They swam as fast as they could, and in less than a second they jumped off, there was a deafening BOOM!!! The ship had exploded and Kihalai and Kerusta has escaped just in time. Kihalai felt something empty against her neck and she noticed that she dropped the hourglass which was sinking to the bottom of the ocean. Kihalai quickly tried to find it under, but the fire from the ship was brewing high and she couldn't go anywhere near the place. She sobbed her last moment and only managed to whisper, "I love -" before she found her soul drifting away into heaven to the angelic form of herself.

Kerusta sat on his bed sobbing, not of the Water Competition, but of Kihalai. She had gone. Then he fell asleep as he sobbed. There was a gust of wind and the windows blew open. The ghostly and angelic form of Kihalai leapt through the windows and stood next to the bed. She blew a gentle kiss down and Kerusta blinked.

"Kihalai? Is that really you?" he asked softly.

"I came to say that I love you and that I will be away, on a journey," answered Kihalai.

"Will I see you again?" asked Kerusta.

"Yes," whispered Kihalai.

She laid on the bed on to Kerusta for a few minutes till Kerusta's eyes closed again. Kihalai could hear the angel of Kerusta calling from above and so she leapt out of the window again towards the sky. There was another gust of wind and the windows closed again

Kihalai landed on a heavenly cloud and there was the angelic form of Kerusta waiting for her.

"Hey," he said smiling, "I told you... everyone who's been here once will always come back, and happily too."

Kihalai nodded and said, "I suppose so then. Hmm, I wonder if you are the same Kerusta as the one down there."

"Of course," answered Kerusta, "now I will expect you to want to meet the angelic form of Gyka, your owner, siblings, and friends?"

"Yes of course," said Kihalai, "are they the same?"

"Hm... I'm starting to already," said Kihalai.

The two love birds went to cloud to cloud, talking happily while the world below them will be exploring a world that honoured Kihalai's bravery and sacrifice.

"To the girl who saved my life," said Kerusta lifting a wine cup up high.

"I knew that going back to life was worth it," whispered Kihalai to herself up high watching down.
