Chia Pops - everyone's favourite frozen treat. Chias like
'em, everyone likes 'em. Ever wanted to know all about Chia Pops? Look
no further. First, a little Chia Pop history. The first Chia Pop was created
when a Chia named Wilbur Winterbottom discovered that a little fruit flavouring,
mixed with sugar and then frozen, tasted pretty darn good.
Mr. Winterbottom set up his own Chia Pop stand. The
pops became very popular in his hometown of Iciclesville on Terror Mountain,
and when the owner of the Ice Cream Factory offered William a deal for
the rights to Chia Pops, he couldn't resist.
William Winterbottom got the job of Head Chia Pop Supreme
Executive President. He oversaw Chia Pop design and manufacture. Today,
one of Mr. Winterbottom's descendants, Didi von Curryworth-Winterbottom,
holds his post.
Now what about the Chia Pops themselves, you ask? Read
on. The rarest Chia Pops, with prices from 72 to 100 thousand NPs on the
Shop Wizard, transform any ordinary Chia into a fruit or vegetable! Chias
can currently become apples, pears, pineapples, aubergines, and avocados.
Ever wonder why Lupes seem to like eating Chia-shaped snacks so much?
Now you know.
But let's move on to the Chia Pops that every pet can
enjoy for a low, low price. The first Chia Pops were the lemon, lime,
blueberry, orange, grape, crab apple (ewwww), and rainbow pops. Besides
the Crab Apple pop, the original Chia Pops were a fantastic success.
The good people at the ice cream factory, manufacturers
of Chia Pops, were receiving Neomail from hungry pets all over Neopia
demanding new Chia Pop flavours. It wasn't long before the makers of Chia Pops broke down and designed a whole score of new pops.
These new Chia Pops included the Blue Apple, Blue Orange,
Chokato, Candy Floss, Splime, Snowberry, Neo Cola, Super Sour Shocker,
and Tigersquash Chia Pops. The Tigersquash, Chokato, and Snowberry pops
were all based on Mystery Island fruits. Splime was based on the popular
spinach-lime smoothie flavour, and Neo Cola was based on the top Neopian
soft drink. The new flavours were made a humongous splash due to ads on
the NTV television network and billboards all over Neopia, from the tippy
top of Terror Mountain to the VirtuPets Space Station Digital Billboard
to the very central center of Neopia Central.
Customers flocked to the Happy Icy Fun Snow Shop to
get the new flavours, which were selling like wildfire. The Chia Pop makers
had hit paydirt. Chia Pops are still very popular today. The H.I.F.S.S.
still sells out of them quickly, and NeoPets everywhere still enjoy their
cold, fruity flavour.
Resources tell us there may be Juppie, Kelp, and New
England Clam Chowder Chia Pops in the works. If you have any new ideas
for Chia Pop flavours, Neomail me.
