Getting to Tenchi

Ayame the white Aisha was lying on her bed listening to her CD's in her rainbow boombox. She took out her coloured pencils and started to draw another Aisha.

"Oh, Tenchi, how much I miss you," she moaned as she started colouring the Aisha if it were a striped one.

Tenchi was Ayame's best friend, but he moved all the way to Tyrannia. She lived all the way back in Neopia. She yawned quietly, walked out of her bedroom and looked around for her owner.

"Mom, where are you?" Ayame called.

"I'm in the kitchen, Ayame!" called Bananahead610.

Ayame sauntered into the kitchen, only to find her mother chopping up some fresh tomatoes she just picked from the garden outside of their NeoHome.

"Mom, can I have some NP so I can go buy a present and visit Tenchi? Please please pretty please!?" whined Ayame. She had already packed a knapsack with a few books, toys, and snacks.

"Okay, okay. Go to the bank and take out 1500 NP, no more! Got it?" Bananahead610 said.

"Thanks so so so so so so much, mommy!" Ayame shouted as she skipped happily out the door.

"I'm finally going to go visit Tenchi, all by myself too! Yay yay yay..." Ayame thought to herself as she skipped into the bank.

"I'd like to take 1500 NP out of Bananahead610's account please," she said kindly to the Skeith at the counter.

"All righty, little one. Please enter her password here, darling," said the Skeith as he pulled out a keypad. Ayame entered the password, got the NP, and left after thanking the Skeith.

"Off to Tenchi... YAY!!!!!" Ayame thought to herself excitedly.

She skipped all the way to the docks of Neopia, where there was a REALLY big chair lift. She paid the ticket person 25 NP, got her ticket, and hopped on. She took a book out of her knapsack and started to read. After a long hour ride up the chair lift, she hopped off, gave the guard her ticket, and entered Happy Valley.

"Almost there," she said.

She still had to climb up to the Ice Caves and take the Eyrie ride to Tyrannia. She stopped in the Snow Wars Gear outlet. She bought some head and body gear, a rope, gloves, and a map. She figured she would need a bigger bag, so she bought a NeoPet-sized duffle bag. The total came to a whopping 600 NP.

She soon came to a mountain with a large opening at the top. She figured that was the Ice Caves. She put on her gear, put away her map, and took out her rope. She lassoed her rope and threw it up, trying to catch it on one of the icicles. She caught one, and climbed up. After a long 25 minutes of climbing, she reached the Ice Caves.

"One more thing to do," she said aloud, as she heard the statement echo through the cave.

She wandered around, taking photos of the Neggery, the Snowager cave, etc. She soon stumbled upon a deeeeeeep crack. She noticed a ticket window, and asked the Chia inside how much it was for an Eyrie ride down to Tyrannia. He responded with the answer of "50 NP, ma'am." She paid the Chia, and an Eyrie soon arrived. She hopped on and held on tight as it flew down the crack.

She saw a bright light ahead of her. The Eyrie stopped and she jumped off. She thanked the Eyrie, gave it a green apple, and it happily flew back up the crack. She walked around the jungle, looking and looking. All the Chombys, Grarrls, and other prehistoric Neopets stared at her as if she was an alien. She figured Tenchi didn't live in the jungle, so she started to search through her bag for his address.

"Oh NO!!!!" she shouted. She couldn't find his address.

She ran around looking for a pay phone, but it was Tyrannia. No one had phones. She went around asking the local Tyrannians if they knew where Tenchi lived, but none could speak English! She finally found an English speaking Chomby.

"Hi. Do you speak English?" she asked the Chomby.

"Yes, I do. It's so hard to find someone who speaks English around here. It's always 'Uggha Looga Boogy" or something," he said as he chuckled slightly.

"I agree. My name is Ayame. I lost my friend's address and I came here all the way from Neopia to see him. Will you help me find my way?"

"Sure, what's your friend's name?"

"Tenchi."

"Hmm.... Tenchi. What's his owner's name?"

"BloopyBloop15."

"Hey, I know the Bloopster! He's the coolest!!! I'll help you find your way, he lives on the Plateau so we better get going. Here, hop on. I'll give you a lift," said the Chomby.

Ayame hopped on the Chomby's back and they were on the Plateau in a flash! They grabbed some omlette, and they arrived at Tenchi's house. "Thanks SO much, I couldn't be more thankful," she said as she handed the Chomby a blue Negg.

She trotted down the pebbled trail in front of the nice NeoHome. She rang the doorbell, and saw a striped Aisha open the door. She jumped in excitement and hugged him right away.

"Ayame... is that you!? You look so different!" Tenchi yelled.

"Tenchi, I'm the same. We've been apart for so long..... it seems like it's been forever."

"Oh it has, it has. Come on in, You call your owner and you can stay for a week."

The friends were reunited and after this visit, Bananahead610 and Ayame moved right next door to Tenchi, just like that long while ago. They lived happily ever after. (What an overused cliché. :-P)
