Remember when the most popular article type in Neopia
was the classic "How to make loads of NP and use it wisely"? Now, thankfully,
we have more variety (owed mostly to the new features added to Neopets).
But now there is a kind of article known as the "Transcribed book because
my pet thinks it isn't fair that I can't read it, just like Riakaru the
Poogle".
But some things need to be known:
1. Who is Riakaru the Poogle?
2. Who owns Riakaru the Poogle?
3. Who wrote the first transcribed/translated book?
4. What was the title?
5. How do I write my own?
And here are the answers:
1. Riakaru the Poogle is, no surprise, a Poogle who supposedly thought
it wasn't fair that owners could not read the books.
2. Riakaru's owner's username is renni200.
3. She also wrote the first transcribed book.
4. It was the Aisha book.
5. This is a little tougher, but it goes like so:
1. Get a book to transcribe. The usual ones are pet books.
Off-topic: Here is a list of books I'd like to see transcribed. After
the Battle (or any Faerie book for that matter), Moehog Poetry, How to
Make a Pteri Plush Doll (now that I'd like to see!), Healing Koi, 101
Negg Recipes, Guide to PetPets.
2. Since you're probably doing a book like Terrific Acaras,
grab some facts and make them creative. These could be as simple as the
Earth Faerie's likes and dislikes (which are very believable!), or as
long as renni's Aisha origin theory.
3. Make it like a story, not a textbook. Pretty please.
4. Proofread it. Make sure it makes sense.
5. E-mail it and check to see if it's published!!! Congratulations
if it is!!!
Oh, and one more thing: If you are going to write a transcribed
book, please do not do one that has already been transcribed! I know it
sounds obvious, but one person at my school tried to convince me their
re-transcribing of the Aisha book brought "a fresh new view". I finally
did get them not to, but you might not have someone around to do the same
for you. Miaka Rogue signing off.
