The Classic "How to make NPs" and How to Treat Your Pets With Respect Article

All right, do you really wanna know the *right* way to get Neopoints? Honestly, I believe that different methods work for different people, but maybe mine will help you.

- Rule number one: Don't go around the site begging people for rare items and some extra Neopoints. Upper-class Neopians do not appreciate logging on just to find 10 Neomessages from a poor newbie who desires nothing more than a rainbow paintbrush. As an alternative to begging, why don't you instead treat the person with respect? Maybe pop up a conversation about your favorite television program. Most people will in turn respect you back and *possibly* send you some items if that's really what you need. (Obviously, I don't speak for everyone..)

- Rule number two: If you want 50,000 NPs easily without sitting in the Kacheek Seek library your entire life, you need a shop. Plain and simple. It doesn't have to be a large shop either. I started out with a size 15 shop and was fine with it for two months before I started to upgrade. Start out with putting simple toys and grooming items. It may take a little time, but you will start to have customers. Oh, yes, and please keep the "Thank you" messages down to a minimum. I saw one article which encouraged sending "Thank you" Neomessages to all your customers, and I can speak for most people when I say it can get quite annoying x__x;

- Rule number three: Play games. ^_^ Aw, c'mon they're fun! If they weren't, NeoPets wouldn't have them, right? Some easy ones are Kiko Match, Poogle Solitaire, Kacheek Seek (the new improved version ^.~), the Stock Market (-.-; that is, if you know I how to play, because I don't.. ^^;).. The list goes on. You can make *thousands* from some of these, and they're really worth it!!

- Rule number four: All right, NeoPets is all about your pets, isn't it? ¬_¬ So if it's all about the pets, why are chat boards filled with people boasting how large their bank account is? No, I am not jealous. I am not poor at all. But, really, seeing people saying that the *right* way to make Neopoints is to "save your money- don't buy PetPets, paintbrushes...etc.". I don't understand that, not at all. Isn't the entire point of saving your money to buy your pets those toys, plushies, etc.? Eh?

I could sit here and babble on about rules 5-50, but I doubt you want to hear it. Keep in mind that there are ghosts around the site to steal your Neopoints/items, so keep what's important to you in your safety deposit box and your bank account.

I'm definitely proud of my four pets. And though your pet(s) don't have to flash around the beauty contest being a Rainbow Quiggle, they deserve your attention, and a lil' part of your bank account. In other words, treat your pet to a trip to the rainbow pool, and give it that oh-so-adorable Greeble it sees in the window. You won't be wasting your Neopoints. So keep that in mind, fellow Neopians, OK? After all, that *is* the whole point of the game, is it not?
