Raising Money for the Unfortunate

When people donate Neopoints to the Money Tree they tend to donate a large amount when they really want to help people. But what they don't realize is that when they donate that large amount, they're only helping that one person who luckily picks up their donation.

As I was on NeoPets on one typical Thursday, I was roaming through the site when I went to the Money Tree. I was about to donate 100 NP when I saw someone donating 1000 NP. I thought, "Wow...that's a lot of money to donate just to one person," so I decided to pick it up and see if I can split it so more people would be able to receive some extra NP. But someone took it already while I was pondering. That's when I decided to just donate 5 NP at a time instead of a large chunk of Neopoints. That way, I'm not just donating 100 NP to one person. I am donating that 100 NP to a lot of people that need my help.

Here's a tip: when you decide that you want to help by doing charity. When you donate money to the Money Tree, first plan out how much you want to donate. Like me, I planned on donating 100 NP to the Money Tree. Then, just donate a few NP each time until it adds up to that amount of NP that you wanted to donate. I donated 5 NP each time until I gave away 100 NP to help people. It really adds up when the people receive their NP.

After that incident, I decided to create a guild, one that helps raise money for the poor. As I was about to create a guild, I thought that I should create another screen name, so everything would be more organized. I made one called "themoneytreehelper", but as I was about to create the guild, my account was frozen. I didn't understand why, but I didn't give up. The next day I went back on NeoPets and I created another account, called "neotreeprovider". I created my guild, called The Money Tree Charity Guild. I decided that my guild should have only one purpose, to help raise money for the unfortunate. I tried for what seemed like days to get some people that want to help me raise money, but no one did. Still, I was determined to raise money for the poor.

Every night I go on NeoPets and try to convince people to join my guild. I've tried it all...advertising on my shop, placing it on the message boards, Neomailing people, etc. Recently, a newbie (or newwie...as I like to call it! lol) noticed my message on the guild message board and told me that she is new, and that she would like some help. So I decided to help her. So this week, my goal is to raise 500 NP just for her.

So if you like charity or if you're poor, please join my guild. I love to help people, and I know that there is at least one other person that loves to do that too. If you're poor, make a request and we'll try to help you out. If you can find it in your heart to help others, join my guild. Remember that one time when someone helped you out on something? I KNOW you have been helped at least once in your life. So why not give back? If you won't...who will?
