Faeries and Furniture

In almost EVERY Neopian times you can find an article about faeries and the prices. In EVERY Neopian times you can find someone trying to help in someway, and someone that is just plain and simple... complaining. Well, like most people, I am FED up with all this jib (Jubjub!), and want all this to STOP.

In my opinion, I agree... Faerie prices ARE high and people ARE trying to take advantage of us. But if they want to do that, (price them at 3500-4000 NP/pop) and make no profit, then so be it. But profit can be made easier on all of us.... Take, for example, this situation here:

I was browsing the Shop Wizard, looking for some fairly cheap faeries and all of a sudden I saw the number 2000! It turned out, that the shop owner had 15 of each Faerie in stock, all priced for 2000 NP. That shop was sold out in less than 2 minutes after I arrived there. Let's look into how much he made... Now that shopkeeper sold 90 Faeries, (15x6) and all were sold for 2000 NPs a piece. (90x2000) That all comes to at least 180 000 NP! All of it most probably, made in less than 10 minutes.

That is A LOT OF NPs! And all because he lowered the price a thousand or two! It's hard to make THAT MUCH! Now to the rest.

New Example... I was chatting with some people in a chat and a message came up "I have CHEAP Faeries!!!!'' so I entered this guy's shop. Guess how much the faeries were... Guess! I'll say they were over 5000 NP. Obviously, he was either ignorant, a big fat liar, or someone who hasn't been to the wizard lately. I go with the third one when someone does that.

The Furniture

Lots of people have been in the chats saying something like this *ahem* "Please, I need furniture do you know where I can get it? I'm desperate......" Stuff like that. Well, people are ALWAYS saying buy it when it is "out of style" or something like that. If you ask me, spending 3-10 thousand Neopoints on FURNITURE sounds pretty outrageous to me. I know it's not REAL money, but imagine spending THAT much in real life just because it is a "Trend". Example...

Say you walk into the NeoPets furniture store and see all this expensive stuff that is nice, yes, it IS VERY NICE stuff, so you spend 5000 NP on this stuff. You then say, "Hey it's no big deal. I'll make the NP back." Right? We've all done it.

See what I'm getting at? If you wait a little while the prices will eventually go down.

But I understand that you DO still want it. And why? Think about it. If you bought the furniture why do you need it at all? I think that people want the respect. To have someone go to their NeoHome and see all this NICE stuff in there. Is that why? Think about it. Is it REALLY worth it at all? When you could be just plain old playing and having fun with your pets. Rethink your decisions, that's all.
