Limited Edition Pets: What’s the Big Deal?

by neo74832

What’s the big deal with limited edition stuff? I mean, doesn’t it seem as if it’s just another pet only it’s been dubbed the name limited edition? Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t go out of my way to dislike limited pets but I cannot stand the pet owners that *gasp* disown their old, boring, not limited pets for the *ooo**aaa* limited edition pets!

First of all, think way, way back to the time when you actually created or adopted that pet. When you adopted your pet did you think, “Oh, I’ll do a good cause for now but once the NeoPets team makes a pet that’s limited edition I’ll disown it again.” How would you feel when you were created by your parents but then sent to the adoption centre because you just weren’t special enough? Get what I’m saying?

So sure, limited edition pets are special but what’s the difference between them and the regular pets? Are they worth more? Can you sell them for more Neopoints than say an Elephante? Maybe limited edition items are more special because you can sell them for more money but you just can’t sell your pets! That’s just pure mean.

And then I don't like the owners who go, “I have a Poogle... blah blah blah,” or “I have a Chomby and he’s a limited edition.” That just makes people feel bad that they don’t have a ‘special’ pet. Sure, your parents could be heard saying stuff like, “Ohh, my Johnny gets straight A’s in school!” or “Do you know what? Gloria got an award for best student of the year.” Sure they could be considered just rude bragging but then again you don’t hear them saying, “OMG! Do you know what? My Daniel is a limited edition!” or maybe “I bet I’m the only one who has one of the limited Jessica’s that went out yesterday!!” Doesn’t that seem plain rude? I bet that would hurt your feelings.

But… don’t just think that limited edition pets are bad now that I’ve said these things. They're just as special the regular pets, not more special, not less. They’re just as cute, just as ferocious, just as loveable. And to the owners out there who have a limited edition pets that didn’t disown to create.. Congrats! You got a one in a kind pet... but if you don’t... Congrats! You still got a grrrrreat pet that loves you!!!
