Adventure in Tyrannia

One chilly morning, Mikenzii, Pinky1184, GoldenStar9 & Exlund padded down the frozen path in Happy Valley. The four pets were always game for a trip to the snowy valley despite the bitter cold.

"Are we there yet?! My feet are killing me, I'm cold, hungry and I lost all feeling in all four of my ears!" whined Mikenzii brushing icicles off her antennae ears.

"We'll get to the Slushie Shop in a few minutes just be patient! We're cold too," grumbled GoldenStar9 rather annoyed with Mikenzii's whining.

"Would you two shut it, we are supposed to be having fun!" said Pinky1184 firmly, snuggling deep into her coat.

"Well I'm just so COLD and are you sure we aren't lost? I think I am catching cold, My eyes might freeze shut, I think-" before Mikenzii could finish her long list of complaints a snowball came whizzing past Pinky1184 and GoldenStar9, and hit Mikenzii in the head.

"Ow! Hey who did that?!" shouted Mikenzii rubbing her head, as Exlund laughed.

"It was me! I couldn't help myself you need to lighten up Mikenzii! you too Golden!" snickered the Lupe.

GoldenStar9 stuck her tongue out at Exlund and continued along the path not interested in starting a snowball fight. Mikenzii scowled and scooped up a ball of snow, she threw it at Exlund. The snowball hurled toward him but before it could hit him he teleported out of the way, "You'll have to do better than that!" yelled Exlund smirking.

"You and your stupid powers, stop showing off!" cried Mikenzii in frustration.

"Aw come on I was just trying to have fun" grinned Exlund, "Go lick a frozen flagpole ya bum!" mumbled Mikenzii folding her arms.

"Try not to argue constantly for once!!" sighed Pinky1184.

The group continued on in silence till they came to the Slushie Shop.

"One Strawberry blend, one Berry cola and two chocolate chip mint Slushies please!" ordered Pinky1184 to the grumpy looking Eyrie.

Pinky1184 reached into her pocket but frowned, "Did anyone bring Neopoints with them? I forgot to bring some with me."

"Nope, don't got any Neopoints," said the other 3 pets in exasperation.

"I'm hungry though!" cried Mikenzii.

"Too bad, no Neopoints no Slushies!!" bellowed the Eyrie.

"One of us will have to go back to get some Neopoints because I sure don't feel like just going back home after coming all this way," sighed GoldenStar9.

"I'll go since I'm the fastest of the group, but I'm gonna drop by the Ice Caves first to see if the Snowager is asleep," smiled Exlund.

"Hurry up then," shouted the 3 pets as Exlund quickly teleported to the Ice Caves. Exlund found himself beside the Neggery, shuddering from the cold he quickly made his way to the Snowager's cave. After walking awhile he stopped suddenly as he felt a warm heat surround him. The white Lupe looked down, seeing the huge crevice in the ice, he'd almost forgotten about the huge earthquake from a few days ago causing the discovery of Tyrannia. While staring down into the red glow, the curious Lupe decided to go to Tyrannia but just for a little while... to warm up that was all, he grinned and made his way down the slope.

As Exlund ventured further everything changed, the snow had long since melted into water, the sky was no longer a dreary gray and the cold bitter winds has ceased. Soon after brushing through a few vines and leaves Exlund was now in the Tyrannia. The Tyrannian sky was streaked with orange and red, the huge sun burned brightly in the sky and shined down on the lush but strange vegetation and creatures. Exlund stood in awe at this new world, slowly he made his way around the stone buildings taking in all of Tyrannia's beauty.

The air was still and very warm, the Lupe's thick white fur made it terribly hot and Exlund was soon searching for a cooler place. After a bit Exlund trudged up the steps of the Tyrannian Food Shop, and rushed into the cave immediately he cooled down. He slurped up the clear refreshing water that had been offered to him. Exlund reclined in the cave glad to have relief from the heat. The shopkeeper a deformed looking cave Chia, waddled over to Exlund and hit him with his club bellowing gibberish the Lupe didn't understand.

Exlund figured the prehistoric Lupes and Chias had a harder time getting along then the modern ones because the 'cave Chia kept smacking him with the club with hatred in his eyes always following Exlund and hitting him no matter how far the Lupe walked. Normally Exlund could put up with Chias but he couldn't stand it when they annoyed him purposely, the frustrated Lupe curled his lip revealing his long sharp fangs and let loose a loud snarl.

Exlund was about to lunge at the annoying pest but caught himself, he knew he might get into big trouble if he even tried to harm a Tyrannian citizen. The Lupe calmly walked out of the cave as the cave Chia screeched threats but didn't make an effort to follow him. The Lupe was back into the hot air and the sun seemed to laugh in his face as it beat down on him. Exlund panted feeling exhausted with the heat but he walked on still too intrigued by Tyrannia to take a rest. After an hour or so Exlund had explored all he cared too, he had been chased by too many angry Tyrannians. Exlund took shelter under a group of interesting trees that sheltered him from the sun.

He rested and took a long drink from a nearby cold spring, the Lupe plopped down in the tall green grass and pondered how Lupes of Tyrannia could handle the constant heat. Suddenly the sharp cry of fear sounded in Exlund's ears, he jumped to his feet tired as he was to investigate. After a few twists & turns the ground began to rumble causing the unprepared Lupe to lose his footing. Exlund quickly got back up and cringed as a horrid roar rang through the jungle. Exlund looked up and just a few yards away there stood a enormous blood-red Grarrl it was 100 times bigger than the modern Grarrl and looked like 20 tons of pure muscle. Exlund's eyes widened in surprise at the huge dinosaur.

Suddenly the same cry of fear he'd first heard rang out, Exlund looked down at a small blue Chomby that had recently become a new NeoPet. It was backed against a wall of rock as the huge Grarrl towered over it ready to close it's bone-crushing jaws around it. Exlund watched in horror, he felt great pity for the Chomby although it was bigger than he, he knew it was only a young Chomby. Before he even thought about what he was doing he raced to the scene swallowing any fear inside of him.

Exlund rushed in front of the Chomby snarling and baring his fangs. The Grarrl was hardly intimidated and swiped at the Lupe, toppled over and he felt a sharp pain in his side, despite the pain he quickly got up ignoring the gash in his side . After dodging the Grarrl's huge claws and teeth a couple times Exlund gave up trying to fight it, he healed himself hastily and knowing he couldn't carry the Chomby from the danger quickly enough, he plunged toward it with another idea. The Chomby having never seen a modern Lupe before was terrified not realizing Exlund was trying to save him. The Chomby cringed in terror as Exlund put a paw on it's back and teleported away from the confused Grarrl. Soon the two were in a different part of the jungle that was covered with trees and vegetation.

After much coaxing the Chomby was finally unafraid of the Lupe and in a shaky voice he said, "H-hello m-my name is Enomoto, um thank you so much f-for saving m-my life, I 'm so grateful." Enomoto smiled weakly.

"Nice to meet you Enomoto, no need to thank me though, my name is Exlund I am a Lupe from Neopia, I came here to explore your world, I'd say it's rather interesting," grinned Exlund waving his bushy tail.

"Wow I've always wanted to meet someone from Neopia, I've heard a little about it, my brothers & sisters went there to start a new life, what's Neopia like?" asked Enomoto in wonder.

"Oh it's a beautiful place almost all the Neopians are friendly except for a few monsters or bad Neopians, but they aren't really anything to fret about, Neopia is full of things to do, it seems something new is always happening...." Enomoto smiled shyly and listened to the many stories Exlund had to tell about in Neopia from the evil Dr. Sloth to the most recent events.

The Lupe and Chomby had told each other about their worlds, Exlund even learned a little Tyrannian language from Enomoto. "Ya know I bet my siblings would love to meet you," said Exlund chomping on some cactus leaf that Enomoto offered him even though he wasn't fond of veggies.

"Why I'd love to go to Neopia!" shouted Enomoto excitedly.

Exlund stopped and suddenly remembered what his original reason for even coming near Tyrannia was. "Gee, Enomoto I could take you now, heh," said Exlund eagerly wanting to get back to Mikenzii and the others.

"WOW let's go! I'm ready!!!" said Enomoto jumping up and down joyfully.

Exlund gave Tyrannia one more quick scan then quickly scooped up some Tyrannian food he had gathered and teleported Enomoto back to Happy Valley in a flash.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!?!?" shouted Pinky1184.

"Yah we've been sitting here for HOURS!!!!" said GoldenStar9.

"Not to mention we're FAMISHED!" screamed Mikenzii.

All 3 stopped in their tracks when they saw the Chomby standing beside Exlund. GoldenStar9, Pinky1184 and Mikenzii all started talking at once at the sight of the Chomby. They had forgotten all about their anger toward Exlund and their hunger as Exlund told of his trip in Tyrannia and introduced Enomoto. After they had shared a few laughs, Exlund passed out the delicious Tyrannian food he had gotten earlier and they ate gratefully. Enomoto had decided to stay with Exlund and his siblings and he soon became part of the family. The five pets shared many more great times together from that day forward and enjoyed the eventful life in Neopia, each one would always remember that one special day when they had first met Enomoto the Chomby.
