Reuniting of Two
The next day, Gildor came to the Monk's castle too. When it was time to go, Sesare told Gildor about the night.

"I will not let that Ghoul live for what it did to Diphinia and I!" he shouted, "I cannot! Will not!"

"You must!" Sesare argued, "It's the only way that you would both be able to see each other again!"

"In order to break the curse, it must see us both in real form at the same time. It's impossible!"

"Tomorrow is a day that has no day or night! It is perfect! You will be able to see each other for more than a moment!"

"Humph." Gildor sighed, "Come along, Jack! Diphinia!"

Gildor held out his hand for Diphinia to join him, but the ghoul floated instead to Jack. Jack was surprised. "What did you do to her?" Gildor growled.

"Nothing!" Jack replied honestly, "Go away! Go to your master! Shoo!"

"What did you do last night?" Gildor asked.

"We changed clothes," Jack said simply, not knowing his mistake.

"TOGETHER?!" Gildor yelled.

"NO! I mean, she changed, I looked away!" Gildor's face was still angry.

"Honest!" Jack added.

"What else?"

"We... danced."

"And?"

"And? Well, she, uh..."

"What?!"

"She kissed me."

"She what ?!"

"Just a little peck on the cheek! Nothing big!"

Gildor sighed, but he wasn't angry anymore. "Every second you spend with her...I... I envy you," he confessed.

Jack smiled. "I would gladly give her to you..." he said, "If she'd just go away! Shoo!"

Gildor laughed, and Diphinia floated over to him. Gildor and Jack got on the black Uni.

"Wait!" Sesare shouted after them, "I'll come with you!"

He mounted a shabby-looking, white Uni and galloped over to them.

"I have to make sure you do what is right," he said stubbornly.

"You-" Gildor started, but then sighed.

It was no use arguing with Sesare. They all rode off to Neopia together. When they got there, Gildor lead them to a dark forest. It was night, and it was even spookier than it would usually be.

"Why was I so stupid as to come on this journey in the first place?" Jack asked himself.

"You were destined to," Sesare replied.

Gildor nodded. Diphinia followed in her ghoul form. Any minute, it would be 12:00. That would mean that both Gildor and Diphinia would be in their regular forms at the same time for a whole day. They had brought an extra set of clothes for Diphinia and devised a plan of how to find the Swamp Ghoul. Gildor had finally given in. Now it was time to make the plan work. Just then, Diphinia started to change.

"Oh dear!" said Jack, turning away.

Gildor grabbed the set of clothes and led Diphinia around a corner.

"It's time!" said Sesare, "We must find the Swamp Ghoul!"

Suddenly, a dark shadow flew from between two trees. Diphinia, fully clothed, and Gildor came back. The both of them were so happy, they were almost in tears.

"The Swamp Ghoul!" Jack whispered, "It's here!"

Gildor found his voice and shouted, "Sinisteria! Face me, Gildor!"

All was silent, and then a giant Swamp Ghoul floated over to them. Sesare and Jack cowered near some bushes.

"Gildor!" the Swamp Ghoul hissed so loud it echoed through the forest, "You sssseek me to reverssse the curssse, I presssssume?"

"Yes," said Gildor.

He held up Diphinia's hand proudly. "We are together. Free us!" The Swamp Ghoul thrashed around, apparently angry. "NOOO!!!" it screamed, "Thissss iss not posssible!!"

"Yes!" Gildor cried, "Look at us! LOOK!"

The Swamp Ghoul slowly turned its faceless head to look at Gildor and Diphinia. All of a sudden, red light flowed over Gildor and Diphinia. The Swamp Ghoul screeched and disintegrated into smoke. The red light disappeared.

"We've done it!" Sesare cried. Gildor and Diphinia laughed happily gave each other a kiss. Jack laughed too, and started crying.

"I'm so happy!!!" he said.

He went crazy, hugging everyone and even the trees around him.

"And do you know what this is?" Sesare asked.

"A happy ending!" said Jack.
