“Hello, and welcome to, The Double-Agent! I’m StarStripe and the rules, compete to get money, except one person doesn’t want you to get the money, one person is a saboteur, a Double-Agent.”

Kevin Korbat in his interview, “I never thought Garon was the DB, but hey, now I’m sure he isn’t.”

Cool Grundo says, “You know, I just wish it wasn’t him, he was the closest thing to a friend to me, oh well…”

Capara smirks, “Yeah, whatever, you think I care?”

On top of Terror Mountain

“Welcome to Terror Mountain, players. Here you will find a task to either your liking, or not. Your job is to successfully out race five other opponents. The catch, weaponry is installed on all vehicles, except for yours. Your go-cart is faster then the rest, but, your go-cart is also low on maintainence, and might break down at any moment. In total, this test can be up to 160 million Neopoints to the pot, for every winner, 20 million is added. Good Luck.”

First is Carassa

She straps herself in and thumbs up to the pit crew. Five mean-looking go-carts pull up around her. She seems tense. She focuses on the light, red, yellow, green! Carassa… doesn’t move at all.

Three car wreck themselves in confusion and another one rolls onto the disabled list. Carassa shoots forward past the remaining driver. The driver speeds up too quickly…right into a wall, and Carassa speeds to an easy victory.

Next is Mulvinn

Red, yellow, green, go! Mulvinn speeds off, bewildering the opponents who though he was using the same strategy as Carassa. Mulvinn Wins!

Third, Flame, Fourth, SW, Fifth, Cool Grundo, and sixth, Capara

All basically have the same strategy, unfortunately, only Flame the Tame is a victor, since he was the only one who had the control to speed off-track.

Seventh is Kauvara

Red, yellow, green, go! Kauvara dips in between two of the go-carts and boosts full blast, she encounters a curve, skids, and…

Eight is Kevin

Kevin flies between four of the drivers and zooms ahead, laughing gleefully. He turns at a corner and boosts his engines, anticipating an easy win. Then, the fifth car appears in back of him and fires a rainbow flash. Kevin just barely dodges, but an exploding snowball flies out and lands next to him blowing him off-course into a wall. Luckily, he ejected just in time.

“Congrats to those who won, Carassa, Mulvinn, Flame, and Kauvara. You all earned 80 million and that increases the pot to about 235 million. Kauvara, that was one nasty skid, how do you feel?” I say.

“Fine, just a little woozy, nothing one of my potions couldn’t cure. Although jumping over walls onto the finish line is a bit too much excitement…” Kauvara stutters.

“Great, you can all sleep till tonight, when we will do a second test. Good sleep.”

That night in the Happy Valley...

“Okay,” I announce, “Today’s game seems easy, all you have to do is get to Neopia, then Faerieland. And then you win 100 million. Of course, Faerieland is 10,000 ft above Neopia, and that fact is the thorn. To get to Faerieland, you must find four NeoPets by sundown. A disco Kyrii named Sunflashi, a glass Shoyru who calls himself Dragoniri, a Faerie Kougra named Tigratan, and lastly a striped Eyrie who says he is Aeroan. These are my pets, and they will lead you to two telepads each. Once a telepad is used, is cannot be used again. Also, these pets are fast, so you’ll need to hurry up once you find them. I will give you a clue to each location.”

A TV pops up and shows an Eyrie’s face, “I am food in living.” Next, a Kougra appears, “I ma ni a strauree xob. After that, a Kyrii appears, “We get to swing mallets!” Finally, a Shoyru is on the screen, “I wish you would find me.” Capara stands up, “What kind of a clue is THAT?” “I don’t know, they all chose their own words.” I disappear.

At the docks of Happy Valley where everyone has a ride to Neopia

“We better create four groups of two,” suggests Capara. After drawing from a hat, the teams are; Capara; Flame going for Aeroan, Carassa; Kauvara going for Sunflashi, Mulvinn; Kevin going for Dragoniri, and Cool Grundo; SW going for Tigratan. All arrive in Neopia without problems.

Carassa and Kauvara at the Money Tree

Carassa starts off, “Okay, there is the obvious choice, the Battledome…”

“And the non-obvious Auction House.”

“Why the Auction House, I know they have mallets but swinging them? That’s for the Battledome.”

“Ah, but you are forgetting one thing, he is using the word ‘mallet’, not hammer. A hammer would be suitable for the Battledome, a mallet would be suitable for the auctions. And, I have never heard of a mallet used as a Battledome item.” Carassa shrugs, “When you’re right, you’re right, let’s go.”

Cool and SW at Fine Furniture

“Duh, the Treasure Hunt place near the wishing well,” SW says.

“Duh,” replies Cool Grundo in half-laughter.

Mulvinn and Kevin at Fresh Smoothies

“That clue the Shoyru gave us was no clue at all, I mean, ‘I want you to find us’?” Mulvinn complains.

“I wish for you to find ME! You dolt,” Kevin snaps.

“You’ll want to take that back! –later.”

“Oh yea, we’ll at least I’m doing something and not complaining!”

“I wish for you to find me. I wish for you to find me. I wish for you to find me. I wish for you to find me. I wish for you to find me! There, I’m doin’..”

“THAT'S IT!” Kevin interrupts

.Later that day in Faerieland at about 5:00 AM

I greet the contestants, “Hello, I see you all found my NeoPets a the Health Food Store, Treasure Hunt place, Auction House and Wishing Well. Now, you can relax for about 30 hours until your last assignment before the executions.”

The next day at about 11:00 NST at the Wheel of Excitement

“Simple rules. Each of you line up and spin the Wheel of Excitement. You spin until you get the Job Coupon section. Then you get the Job Coupon and race to the Employment Agency and hand over the coupon. You win 5 million per job coupon, Good Luck.”

SW spins first, and after 12 tries gets it. It takes Capara 5. Carassa, 32. Cool Grundo, 2. Kevin, 8. Flame, 18. Kauvara, 10. Finally, it is Mulvinn’s turn. He know he can only get one spin in before his two minutes remaining is up, so he closes his eyes and spins.

That night at the quiz...

“Right now, we have three surprises, two, un-enjoyable, one, great. The great one is that we have 415 million in the pot! One of the bad ones for at least seven of you is that Mulvinn has been exempt from the quiz; he did not take it, and will not leave. The Wocky won this from his last spin on the Wheel of Excitement. The last, and worst news, is that not one of you, but three of you are leaving tonight. The three lowest scores will leave. Green, stay. Red, leave."
