Meerca Chase: Is it All That it Seems?

Look at the poor Meerca in Meerca Chase. It is forced to follow the players orders on where to go and has to go there. Sometimes the players chose is wrong and the Meerca is forced to eat a dreadful red Negg or run into the wall or tail. Who is the poor Meerca who has been enslaved for the rest of its life just for the pleasure of us Neopians? Myself (pina_colada_babe) and my trusty Chomby Valatinamar set out to find so answers.

We meet up with la_lune_du_soleil and her Wocky le_soleil. They are both avid players in Meerca Chase trying to get the hang of it. (Magical Meerca plushie, wow the reward so great but yet so hard!)

Val: Have you ever seen any trace of the Meerca's owner around the game before?

Le_Soleil: Weeeeelll, now that you mention it I do remember seeing a worried owner in the games room while I was standing in line for my turn on Meerca Chase. He was craning over the crowd watching and looking sad. Maybe that is it's owner.

La_lune: Hey, yeah I know who you're talking about. He was short and thin with blonde hair. I wasn't watching him a lot because he wasn't really my type.

Well now we had a lead that there is an owner out there. Next we turned to the adoption center to talk with Dr_Death--(maybe) the pet was disowned then put to work. We don't really know what goes on back there do we?

Cola: Dr_Death have you been putting disowned pets to work? Or have you seen a short thin, blonde boy disowning a Meerca recently?

Dr_Death: Why I never would put pets to work!! As for the boy do you know how many people come in here every day? I have probably seen 20 people fitting your description today! Good day to you!

Well, that went well I guess this really isn't going anywhere. Maybe the owner is in the games room... it's worth a shot.

Well, well, well look Valatinamar it's the boy la_lune_du_soleil was talking about the truth at last!

Val: Erm, excuse me sir I was wondering if it was your Meerca in that game.

Boy: *sniff* Yeah it is. I really miss him. I can never see him except for when I play the game :(

Cola: What happened to him and why is he in the game?

Boy: Well, we were having a nice stroll through the Ice Caves when the earthquake started. We fell into a small crack in the ground that lead to an underground cave. Suddenly, out of the dark, a small Alien Aisha (like the one in Gormball) came up. He said, "So you have dared to enter the secret winter lair of the Alien Aishas. You shall pay for this hahahahaha," with a zap and a bang I flew back up into the Ice Caves and in my hand was a small handheld video game with my Meerca trapped inside. I submitted the game to the NeoPets team for it was always his wish to be famous. So now he is trapped and I don't know how to get him out.

Cola: Well, that really is too bad. We send our regrets to you and your Meerca.
