Audrey's Revenge

It was just another average day for Audrey. Eating cold leftovers, getting scratched by the rusty metal bars of her cage, and watching sad and lonely NeoPets. Life at the pound was no fun. Especially if you're a mutant. Audrey, the mutant Kacheek, had no hope of being adopted anytime soon. Her red eyes and sharp teeth scared off everyone. No one seemed to look past that. Audrey nibbled at her bitten apple. She sighed.

"Audrey, did you hear the news?" asked Kenny, the Lenny in the cage beside her. Kenny didn't seem to care she was a mutant. That was the last thing on his mind.

"What is it, Kenny?" she asked.

"Dr. Sloth is invading Sakhmet. And NeoPets are being sent out to help fight."

"Really? That's nice," she said, looking down at her apple.

"Aren't you worried about Sakhmet?" he asked.

"Yeah...I am," answered Audrey.

Kenny turned to the other NeoPets.

"Poor Sakhmet. I wish I could help. At Level 2 I wouldn't do much good!" said Audrey quietly. She despised Dr. Sloth because he was the one who turned her into a horrible mutant. Her life changed for the worst after that.

Just as she was about to finish her snack, Dr_Death came in.

"Attention! Sakhmet needs all the help it could get! I thought maybe some of you can help in the battle! If you would like to help, raise you hand!"

A few NeoPets raised their hands, including Kenny. Audrey hesitated. She slowly raised her hand.

"OK," said Dr_Death, as he unlocked their cages, "Let's get going!"

He lead the NeoPets to Sakhmet, where the big battle was taking place.

Oh my! thought Audrey, those monsters are huge! She shivered. Kenny and the other NeoPets were already taking place in the battle. Slowly, Audrey walked into the battle. She ran past the other monsters to see if she could find Dr. Sloth. There he is! she thought Here's my chance!! She shot her Rainbow Gun at him.

"What?!" he yelled "Who dares hurt Dr. Sloth??" He glanced at Audrey, who was still pointing the dun towards him.

"You!! You puny NeoPet!" he yelled. He threw his hands up in the air and a great ball of fire appeared.

"You will pay!" he yelled. Audrey took out her shield. She felt like crying. She wanted to run back and hide. Audrey heard a little chanting behind her. She turned around.

"Go Audrey! I know you can do it! You can defeat him!" yelled Kenny. He was lying down and was severely hurt. Audrey smiled at him and turned to Dr. Sloth. The fire ball was zooming towards her. She gulped. Audrey rolled out of the way.

"Stay still! You're aggravating me!" yelled Dr. Sloth.

"Y-You don't scare me!" stuttered Audrey. She leapt into the air pointed her Rainbow Gun at Dr. Sloth.

"I won't let you get away with this!!" she yelled.

"You puny little NeoPet! You shall remain a mutant...Forever!" said Sloth. Suddenly, black smoke surrounded Audrey.

"What's happening?" she said. She was ready to cry.

"Ha Ha!" yelled Sloth, "You are under a permanent curse! You will never get out of your horrible mutant form!"

Audrey was ready to turn back when a great power came over her. She leapt towards Sloth and pushed him to the floor. As he tried to get up, she shot out a great bolt of rainbow from her gun.

"This is for all the NeoPets you turned into mutants because of you!"

"No. No! Noooooooo!" he yelled.

Suddenly, Sloth turned into smoke and...vanished. Audrey looked at her rainbow gun and then turned towards the battle. Every monster and NeoPet was quiet and still and stared at Audrey. The monsters vanished but the NeoPets were still quiet. Audrey was shocked.

"I...I...beat Dr. Sloth," she said.

The crowd started to cheer and they rushed to congratulate Audrey. She smiled and squeezed through the crowds towards Kenny. Kenny was badly hurt.

"Thank you for cheering for me. I would've turned back." Kenny was quiet because he was to hurt to move.

A Lost Desert Aisha came up to Audrey. "My dear Kacheek," she said, "You saved our city. What is your name?"

"My name is Audrey."

"Audrey, you'll go down in the history of Sakhmet." She turned to the crowd.

"Right now we have to leave. The Lost Desert will be...well, lost once again!"

A huge sand storm flew towards all the NeoPets, and when it cleared up, all of the Lost Desert was gone.

"*Cough* *Cough* Kenny, I'll heal you," said Audrey. She was equipped with a Healing Potion VIII. Kenny drank it and was restored to full hit points.

Audrey smiled at the swarm of people. I guess the Lost Desert was just a mirage...

A Note From Audrey: Hi, I'm Audrey! I was later adopted into a wonderful family and I still remember that horrible day. Oh, and if you're wondering, I never did get rid of that curse. But I'm still happy no other NeoPet will have to be mutated. Even if I have to be a mutant forever.

A note from the Author: Hey! Like my story? I just wanted to let y'all know that Audrey is not a real character and the "battle" is still going on. I think.
