Revenge: Part Three

Nicolna and Ambreeze arrive at Neopia Central safely. They go to the area where the Neopedia is located. A red Lenny greets them and says, "Do you want to search for something?"

The two pets tell him that they are looking for any articles on a Maxwell von Gegenuber. The red Lenny tells them, "No, I am sorry dear pets, but there are no articles on that subject." The two pets are saddened by this, but shake it off and go to the smoothie shop. There, Ambreeze buys both of them smoothies and they sit down to talk about it.

"So where do we go from here?" asks Nicolna.

"I dunno. I suppose we could go look in the Battlepedia. Maybe this Maxwell is a Battledome character."

"I wouldn't know. I wouldn't have known if he had died or not." Ambreeze smiles at Nicolna's statement and notes that he, too, doesn't know who he is or not. They both finish off their smoothies and head over to the Battledome

When they look in the Battlepedia, they notice that the Battlepedia only references to items used in the Battledome Not characters. Ambreeze and Nicolna sit down and watch 2 pets start their battle. Nicolna comes up with the suggestion that they post something on the chat boards. Ambreeze flies her over there, and since Nicolna is the only one who knows how to write, she writes the following message on the

chat boards:

Maxwell von Gegenuber.. Does anyone know when this guy died? The Brain Tree asked me to find out, and I've checked the Neopedia and the Battlepedia (first time there... too bad it's only items). Does anyone know? I really would appreciate the help.

Ambreeze and Nicolna wait for an answer. They finally get a message:

Jakerstone: feed the Esophagor two times and you will get the answer.

The two pets almost jump for joy! Nicolna hops on Ambreeze's back and they fly back over to the haunted woods. They walk up to the Esophagor. He says, "I am hungry! Feed me now!" the two pets agree to feed him and he asks for a bat cookie and a candy corn. Nicolna hops onto Ambreeze's back and they fly back over to Neopia Central. Nicolna almost blows down the Shop Wizard as she runs over to him, "Do you know where I can get a bat cookie?" She asks. The shop wizard looks it up and refers them to a shop. The two pets go and visit it.

Nicolna is the first one to notice that the Bat cookies are 11,000 Neopoints. She wonders if they should get the candy corn first. They go back over to the shop wizard. Nicona asks where they can get a candy corn and he refers them to another shop. The two pets go and visit that shop, also. Ambreeze this time is the one that notices the Candy Corn's price. It was 4,000 Neopoints. Where were they going to get that kind of NP? Nicolna cries one tear and Ambreeze wipes it away and says, "Well, maybe we can find them cheaper somewhere else."

Nicolna smiles a small smile at Ambreeze's efforts to make her happy again. But she knows it is hopeless. The shop wizard always tells people the store with the lowest price. Nicolna knows it is now impossible for her to ever find the swamp ghoul. Ambreeze goes over to the Shop Wizard and asks again about the candy corn. He refers them to another shop. It's candy corn, also is 4,000 NP Nicolna cries yet another silent tear.

Nicolna wonders how they will ever find when and how Maxwell von Gegenuber died. Suddenly Ambreeze has an idea, "Hey! wait a second! Do you remember the Ski Lodge murder victims?" Nicolna sees a light bulb go off in her head, "No! But we can go check!" Nicolna hops onto Ambreeze's back and he flies over to Winter World. They find the ski lodge and step in.

They take a peek at the list of characters who had been murdered. Nicolna scans the list of names and then cries two tears at the same time. There was no Maxwell anywhere on the list. "Oh well," she sighs. "It's getting late anyway. I need to head home."

"But what about our quest?"

"Maybe we can try again tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get an easier one." Ambreeze sighs and flies Nicolna over to her NeoHome. He walks her to the door and when she closes it he sighs. Why did he drink that Skeith Morphing potion in the first place? Why didn't he just stay a Chia. He then thought of if Nicolna would like him as much as he likes her if he was a Chia..

Nicolna walked over to her room. She takes a piece off the wall and takes a nibble. She wonders if Ambreeze would like her more if she was a Skeith, but then she thought of how silly she was. He wouldn't like her no matter what happened. Ambreeze flew off to his own NeoHome, where he cuddled up next to the fire and dreamed of Nicolna all night long.
