Tasty Treats that Won't Burn a Hole in Your Pocket

by stars_and_stripes180

--------

Everyone loves a tasty treat every now and then, but with the prices of these delicious dishes, you’d have to be willing to give away an arm or a leg to enjoy a gourmet goodie. I get a headache just thinking about how much those poor Gourmet Club Champions spent to see their name on the list of “Gourmet Club Champions”. One may ask oneself what it takes to have a stomach full of tasty treats and a bank account full of hard-earned neopoints. Well, I’m here to say that a few minutes of your time is all I need to show you what amazing bargains exist in Neopia. (And I even took the time to organize them into nifty little categories for your convenience. No, no, it’s quite alright, you can thank me later. ;D)

CHOCOLATE

    1. Chocolate Covered Toffee

The flavourful blend of chocolate and toffee is widely liked among many Neopians. The rich taste of toffee along with a creamy milk chocolate coat will send your taste beds to heaven. Chocolate Covered Toffee also comes in Dark and White Chocolate Covered Toffee, if you’d prefer that.

Cost: About 2,000 NP

    2. White Chocolate Asparagus Soufflé

Many say this is an acquired taste, and I can’t promise you’ll like it... unless, of course, you’re Adam. If you enjoy fancy foods, I’m sure you’ll appreciate the richness of this dish. While the thought of vegetables smothered in white chocolate may not appeal to you, you might be happy to know that this is a gourmet food, and under 1,000 NP, too!

Cost: About 750 NP

    3. White Chocolate Cookies

This dessert is quite simple... simply delicious! The taste of white and milk chocolate together is a classic, and the design is simply exquisite, if simple at the same time. One of the best things about these cookies are that they are great on the go, after school, whenever! These are light and won’t spoil your appetite, but they’re delicious all the same!

Cost: about 275 NP

    4. Chocolate Coated Marshmallow

This dessert is extremely easy to make, and what’s more, you can stick it between to gram crackers, and, voila! Instant s’more! This is a light treat, and is often eaten as a snack. These are great party snacks, and if you’re ever in the mood for fondue, grab a marshmallow and dip it in. As a fun experiment, you could try dipping marshmallows in dark and white chocolate also.

Cost: About 900 NP

    5. Aisha Chocolate Cheesecake

Aisha Chocolate Cheesecake is a tasty way to celebrate everyone’s favorite Neopet, the Aisha! This cheesecake is topped with a layer of creamy chocolate and vanilla frosting, shaped to resemble an “A”. The second layer is made of creamy cheesecake. The third layer is rich, moist chocolate filling. The fourth layer is more cheesecake, yum! The fifth layer is more of that delicious chocolate filling. With five generously large layers of heaven, this is one sweet treat!

Cost: About 1,000 NP

FAERIE FOODS

    1. Delicious Faerie Bubbles

Still eating your desserts? Well, try something new and buy yourself a bottle of Faerie Bubbles. This light, bubbly concoction is a treat for your taste buds. Made by the faeries themselves, this drink will make you feel like you have wings. If you like the bubbly texture of Neocola, you’ll love Faerie Bubbles!

Cost: About 1,000 NP

    2. Cherry Faerie Bubble

A Cherry Faerie Bubble consists of a thin layer of cherry-flavoured candy with a pretty faerie design on the front. The “bubble” is filled with tasty, sugary cherry goo that will satisfy even the sweetest sweet tooth. Like most faerie foods, this treat is considerably light and makes a perfect snack. If you don’t enjoy cherry-flavoured foods, Faerie Bubbles also come in other flavours, like lemon and raspberry.

Cost: About 200 NP

    3. Faerie Fondant

Like the description says, this dessert is indeed a “gooey mass of chocolate, biscuits, and fondant filling”. A great thing about gooey food is that you get as much satisfaction out of trying to figure out how to get it into your mouth as you do actually eating it. This is a fun, filling treat that you’ll be sure to love.

Cost: About 1,000 NP

    4. Fruity Faerie Fingers

Fruity Faerie Fingers are long, finger-shaped slices of spongy cake with a tasty raspberry dipping sauce to dip them in. At first look, Fruity Faerie Fingers may look like chips and ketchup, but I assure you that they are as sweet as chips are salty. If you don’t like raspberry, I encourage you to try other dipping sauces such as chocolate.

Cost: About 150 NP

    5. Earth Faerie Brownies

These brownies are faerie wing-shaped masses of fudge, with a thin (barely visible in this picture) layer of chocolate. For those that don’t like the taste of nuts and chocolate, the brownies can be made plain. If you’re craving chocolate, these chewy brownies will certainly satisfy your craving.

Cost: About 1,000 NP

ICE CREAM

    1. Caramel Chia Parfait

The provided description is all you need to be convinced of the tasty charm of the Caramel Chia Parfait; “Simply heavenly, this parfait is a must for those with a sweet tooth.” As the description states, this treat is perfect for the Neopian with a serious sweet tooth. Although, anyone can enjoy the three individually flavoured layers that blend to create this divine dessert.

Cost: About 2,000 NP

    2. Roseatte Ice Cream

This ice cream tastes even better than it looks! This is made from the Roseatte, a fragrant berry whose smell often causes it to be mistaken for a rose. Roseatte Ice Cream, like the berry, tastes like super-sweet raspberries with a hint of vanilla. This food is awfully tempting, but it tastes best after a nice feast.

Cost: About 1,000 NP

    3. Creamy Cloud Ice Cream

Like the name suggests, Creamy Cloud Ice Cream has an extremely creamy, smooth texture to it. This ice cream is very literally lighter than air, so it is best to eat after a huge meal. This ice cream has an incredibly unique flavour that will satisfy you to no end. This ice cream is a perfect pick to indulge in, and you might find yourself in a daydream afterward.

Cost: About 1,000 NP

    4. Rose Shake

The Rose Shake might seem familiar to you, if you’ve ever done a few of Illusen’s quests. This is a popular prize for Illusen questers. But don’t worry! This food is available in shops too (even though I don’t know why anyone would want to sell it instead of eat it). But beware: the rose is NOT edible. :) With a light, chilly, somehow rosy flavour, this is great to sip at while sitting outside on a fine day in Meridell.

Cost: About 550 NP

    5. Light Faerie Sundae

This sundae will make your face glow with delight. A literally light dish, this will bring sunshine on even the rainiest day. The taste is indescribable, so you’ll just have to try it yourself. And especially you’re ever feeling down, this cold, delectable delight will be sure to pick you up and fill you up, too.

Cost: About 1,000 NP
