How To Earn Neopoints Like A Pro by rushypoo
--------
We’ve all been there – playing games, selling items, trying to earn money to save up for that elusive Royal Paint Brush or Meowclops that’s been just out of grasp for weeks, months … years, even. It seems like no matter how hard you try, how much you do, you never have enough Neopoints to buy what you want. So how do so many Neopians do it? How do they achieve their dream pets, finish their galleries, or have enough collateral to borrow expensive avatar items, such as MSPP (Malevolent Sentient Poogle Plushie) or SuAP (Super Attack Pea)? This article is designed to offer you tips and tricks to not only start earning Neopoints like a pro, but how to make your pockets heavy by saving them, too. Tip #1 The first step to maximizing your Neopoint earnings is to set up a bank account! You earn interest every single day, and even making one Neopoint a day is making progress. To do this, hover over “Shops” link on the links header and select “Bank” (sixth link down) and make a new bank account. (As a side note, when prompted to give your address … give your Neopian address, not your real address!) A good thing to remember is to collect your interest at the start of the day before depositing or withdrawing any Neopoints. If you do this, you won’t be able to collect any interest because the interest is determined by how many Neopoints you have at the start of the day. If you take any out or add any in, the interest will change and therefore you can’t collect it. So collect your interest before doing anything else!! A way to take advantage of this is when you start saving lots of Neopoints, go to the bottom of the page and look under “Upgrade Your Account”. It doesn’t cost anything extra to upgrade and you earn more on interest! The first upgrade, Neopian Student, can be accessed at 1,000 Neopoints, while the last upgrade, Ultimate Riches!, is accessible at 10,000,000 Neopoints (which is quite far away … but not as far as you’d think!). Tip #2
While this may seem obvious, play games! There are lots of different games and you’re bound to find at least one that you like. A good initiative to earning as many Neopoints as you can is to aim for avatars – Sutek’s Tomb, Kass Basher, Meepit vs. Feepit … there are a lot of them to be earned. You can earn a maximum of 1,000 Neopoints per sent score and you can send up to three scores per game per day … that’s 3,000 possible Neopoints for one game! Easy 3k Games (games with a high score ratio) are Wrath of the Snowager, Shenkuu Tangram, Maths Nightmare, and Spellseeker, among others. Other games that I personally love to play every day that are fairly easy to score an avatar at are Kass Basher, Sutek’s Tomb, Meepit vs. Feepit, Buzzer Game, The Castle of Eliv Thade, and Advert Attack. Some other fun games are Roodoku, Kou-Jong, Turmac Roll, Meerca Chase II (avatar game), Top Chop, and Fashion Fever (not necessarily fun, but an easy 900 Neopoints – seeing as you can only score 300 Neopoints per game!). You can easily make over 50,000 Neopoints a day … just by playing games! Tip #3 Investing in the stock market is something that takes a lot of time and effort to understand and become good at. A good rule of thumb is to never sell below what you purchased and to buy 1,000 stocks at a time – and never buy stocks that are more than 15 Neopoints! You aren’t allowed to buy stocks below 15 Neopoints and you should never allow yourself to buy stocks above 15 Neopoints! Just don’t do it, okay? It’s not worth spending the extra money. Wait for the price to go down if you’re absolutely insistent on owning a portion of EEEE. Since you’re only allowed to purchase 1,000 stocks per day, make sure you’re investing wisely! Also, once you’ve invested 1,000,000 Neopoints into the stock market, you’ll obtain an avatar – cool, right? Here are the biggest tips necessary to become a master at the stock market and earn Neopoints: Stock Market Tip #1: Diversify your portfolio. This means don’t invest 2,500,000 Neopoints into one stock … spread that money out over many different companies. That way, you won’t lose all your money at once! Stock Market Tip #2: Buy low, sell high. Don’t purchase stocks for 64 Neopoints a piece and then turn around and sell that at that price. Also, while you’re technically making a profit if you sell them at 65 Neopoints a piece … wouldn’t it be better if you waited until they were 105 Neopoints a piece? Of course, you’re not going to be buying stocks at 64 Neopoints a piece … right? Stock Market Tip #3: Never sell at a loss. If the company tanks and now the 15,000 Neopoints you invested into BOTT is only worth 3,000 … don’t worry! Don’t panic! The stock market is crazy and random. Losses are to be expected, but so are gains. While you may think it’s better to cut your losses now, it’s definitely not. The stock market is basically a waiting game. Pretty soon that 15,000 you invested may be worth 20,000 … it’s up to luck and patience to get it there! Tip #4 Reselling is a good way to earn Neopoints … but it’s a little difficult to get figured out. Basically what this means is buying items from, say, The Chocolate Factory, and reselling them in your shop for a higher price. The best shop to do this, in my opinion, would be Kauvara’s Magic Shop since she restocks morphing potions. It’s a tough business to get into (I personally don’t dabble in it much), so I would do as much research as possible before attempting to make this your main source of income! There are plenty of other ways to earn Neopoints, so don’t stress if you aren’t able to nab a rare item on your first try. However, you can earn several avatars by purchasing items in shops! Maybe if you go looking at a spooky shop, or something even more hidden … Tip #5 Do your dailies! Dailies are activities you do every single day, such as visiting Coltzan’s Shrine, playing Fruit Machine, or trying to impress King Hagan. Many of these dailies offer monetary prizes, like The Discarded Grundo Plushie, Trudy’s Surprise, and sometimes even the Giving Tree! Just make sure that if you do the latter, that you donate some stuff you’re not using, or even give a few Neopoints back – it’s the only nice thing to do, you know! You can also make a wish at the Wishing Well or play the Neopian Lottery; both are taking a chance, but sometimes it’ll pay you back! The very first time I played the Lottery (and I’ve been on Neopets for a very long time), I won and not only earned 20,000 Neopoints … I also got a trophy! A complete list of dailies can be found on Jellyneo, SunnyNeo, or even Neopet users! Be sure to make sure you’re qualified to do all of these dailies – some of them, such as Coltzan, are restricted by account age. Tip #6 My final tip and favored method of earning Neopoints is to simply play the Battledome! You can earn up to 1,500 Neopoints and 15 items! Some of them can be cheap, like foods or plushies, but sometimes you’ll be rewearded with bottled faeries and codestones … these are the real money makers. While a Main Codestone may only retail up to 3,000 Neopoints, a Kew Codestone can sell up to 20,000 Neopoints! Codestones sell shockingly fast (the longest I’ve had a codestone in my shop was 3 minutes – sometimes by the time the shop stock page has finished processing, the item is already sold out) and have been a consistently high price. Bottled faeries aren’t worth as much as they used to be, but you can earn an easy 100, 200, 500 Neopoints from these little ladies – or, of course, you can bless your pets so they can earn faerie abilities to beat more enemies in battle … resulting in more stuff for you to sell! Bonus Tip #7 While this may be adjacent to reselling, a good method of earning Neopoints is to browse the Trades/Auctions boards, or just to peruse the trade and auctions themselves! If people are desperate to get rid of items, they’ll sell items on the trading post for a fraction of the cost! If you’re looking at the trades, make sure that you’re getting a good deal. A lot of people are willing to haggle, so don’t be afraid to message them! If their wishlist says something along the lines of “mail offers”, I would pass them up. If you don’t know the value of an item, don’t offer on it. Don’t pay full price for anything either – the key is to earn Neopoints, not break even! As for the auctions, the only real tip I can give you is to WATCH THE NEOPOINTS! Don’t get caught up in the game and end up spending way more on an item than you bargained for – just keep your eye on how expensive the item is getting. Only bid on items around the 30 minute mark. People get frantic around this time however, so make sure you’re staying up to date! Refresh the page constantly and always have about 40,000 more Neopoints on hand, just so you don’t have to worry with going to the bank and taking Neopoints out. Just don’t spend them all! You should be able to find some real gems, such as morphing potions, magical plushies, and stamps. I wouldn’t recommend selling items in the auctions … it’s up to other Neopians to buy it, and once it’s in the auctions you can’t take it out! Your Baby Paint Brush may be worth 600,000 Neopoints, but there’s nothing you can do if the winning bid is 50,000 Neopoints! Always sell on the trades or in shops. If your items is very expensive, find a buyer and sell it via private auction. (that way you can get all your Neopoints without having to do multiple transactions!) Hopefully these little tips will be able to help you earn more money and to save it! In short, the six tips I have for you to earn Neopoints and save Neopoints can be summarized as: Tip #1: Open a bank account and make sure to upgrade it and collect interest before depositing/withdrawing! Tip #2: Play as many games as you can … it’s not unrealistic to earn “50k A Day”! Tip #3: Invest in the stock market – buy 1,000 at a time; buy low (15 Neopoints, remember?), sell high; never sell at a loss! Tip #4: Resell if you know how to (visit the Neoboards if you have ANY questions)! Tip #5: Do your dailies every day! Tip #6: Play the battledome! Bonus Tip #7: If you’re bidding, watch the Neopoints! If you’re trading, make sure you’re getting the best deal possible! Soon you’ll be on the road towards purchasing that beautiful item for your gallery, obtaining all the potions and paint brushes you need to get your dreamie, having enough collateral to borrow avatar items, or even giving back to the Neopians who started off just like you – penniless, and with a dream ...
