Hi, TNT! *throws Petpet Lab Map because I don't want to spend too many Neopoints on a lab map* Ahem. Anyway... I love the new lab map design! I especially love the Waleins, they are too cute! ^.^ Would it be possible to get an update for the Spooky Map, too? Thanks in advance! :P ~yellow_gellow
Egads, that one could sure use an art update as well, huh? We'll add the Spooky and Original Maps to the art update "to do" list, but as always it might take quite some time for the updates to be done, considering how far in advance we need to schedule daily content.
Hello, TNT! *waves* I won't toss anything since it seems you get enough of that. As I was clicking around Qasala looking for a Striped Negg, I noticed something very weird. The shopkeepers for Qasalan Delights and Desert Arms are the same! I even looked again (and again) to make sure I wasn't imagining it. I found myself wondering how he could be in two places at once when the shops are across the city courtyard from each other. Are they twins, or are the Meepits messing with my head again? Thanks in advance if this gets in! ~siriuslupin2006
Ack, we got quite a few reports of this shopkeeper trying to move in on the local Qasalan grocery shop. We've told him sternly to stick to his own shop.
Are we allowed to talk about Monkey Quest on Neopets? (After all, it is owned by Nick, same as you guys. Plus Snarkie worked on it.) P.S.: Hide my username, or the Meepits will come for you. ~username removed
Yes, you may discuss Monkey Quest and Petpet Park on the boards, as these come from our same studio. :)
Hypothetically, let's say I stop playing Neopets. (I don't think that this will happen any time soon, never fear!) Is there a rule against leaving my accounts in the possession of another person, such as a real-life friend? Similarly, could I give a single account to another user, assuming they will delete one of their current five accounts shortly thereafter? I wouldn't want my hard work to go to waste, and if I were to quit, someone else could enjoy the prestige of having an old account. :) Thanks! ~username removed
No. While it's a nice thought, a lot of unpleasant things can happen due to a player giving away an account. Aside from it being against the rules, such an account can come into the hands of a scammer that can use the legitimate look of the account to scam other players. We're sure that's hardly the legacy anyone wants for the account that they've poured so much effort into. Please respect our rules (and your Neopets) by leaving the account in your own care, even if you don't plan on returning.
What's the correct plural form of Lutari? Lutaris, Lutaries, what?!? Please answer. ;-; This is bothering me a bit. ~alexachomburi
The plural of Lutari is... Lutari. :)
Would it be against the rules to write stories about people's Neopets for The Neopian Times for a fee of Neopoints or items? I didn't think this would be allowed, but I thought I should ask just in case. Thanks! Also, please remove my username. ~username removed
/cast Broken Record No, you may not exchange Neopoints / items / Neopets for any type of service, be it art, writing, programming, epic prose, etc.
If I do compose
an epic haiku for you
it must be for free.
The Federation of Neopian Haiku approves this answer.
Hi, TNT! *picks up a cookie from the office floor* n_n I was wondering about the lab ray giveaway. What if you have the lab map on a side account? Would you still be eligible to enter? Also, do the winners gain access to the lab ray, or do they get the pieces as tradeable items? Thanks! ~_vinegirl_
Winners will receive access to the Secret Lab Ray, not the lab map pieces themselves. If a player already has access to the lab ray on their main, or even a side account, they are still welcome to enter with any ONE of their accounts (that's over an month old) that does not already have access to the Secret Lab Ray.
Could you please add the basic Dartail to the Petpet Puddle? You've released four colours for it so far, but the basic Dartail isn't on there, so the painted versions can't be created! ~juney4
Whoops! Thank you very much for pointing that out. The original (yellow) Dartail has now been added to the Petpet Puddle. :)
First of all, I would like to thank you TNT for giving us Lutari. Next, I would like to know: what are the Catacombs people have been talking about lately? Also, how do you get there? ~scrapninja11
On the main Neopia Central map there is a statue of a Chia that is labelled "Art Centre." If you click on it, you'll be taken down to the Catacombs of Neopia Central. :) Yes, we know it needs an art update pretty badly, which is ironic considering it's the art hub of Neopia. ;D
Where should I report offsite locations that are selling Neopoints or Neoitems? I saw an ad for one while offsite. I used a form for reporting abuse to contact you, but I'm not sure if that's the right place to notify you. Should I have sent an email to the Legal Department instead? I hope you will answer this, as I don't want to waste anyone's time by sending to the wrong department . If I can have one more minute, I'd just like to say THANK YOU for all the work each and every one of you do! If it's not too much to ask, give each other a pat on the back, as I cannot be there to do it. :) ~kadystwo
You can use our abuse report form to contact us with information about these types of illegal sites. Please don't risk your account security by visiting such sites in an attempt to gather information for us. Just pass along the URL to us and where you saw it advertised and we'll investigate ourselves. :)
Hello! First off, I'd like to say thank you for providing this site to everyone for free and keeping it active and exciting all these years. Anyway, I have a question: I've noticed lots of people on the NeoBoards adding vague comments to their signature, while some of them are just confusing and annoying. Some of them say things like "and I just reported you." This causes a lot of confusion on the boards when someone asks an innocent question and gets a response like, "Oh, you need to blah blah blah... and I just reported you." The person who created the board usually gets worried, thinking that they did something wrong. Someone then has to tell them it's a signature. I don't feel like this should be allowed; it's misleading and causes disruptions. Could you clarify whether this is allowed or not? I don't think it should be, but it's been going on for a while. ~incredibleundeadable
Those kinds of signatures would, indeed, be against the rules. If you see someone with a signature of that nature, please report them so our monitors can handle the situation.
Are we allowed to trade Neopets with offers of Neocash items? Like, could I offer a customized Kacheek with NC items for a limited edition Neopet like a Draik or Krawk? Oh, and please remove my username! Thanks. ~username removed
Absolutely not. Neopets may only be traded 1:1 for other Neopets, and NC items may only be traded for other NC items.
Let's say User A has an argument with User B, so User A decides that they will get revenge by reporting User B (who has done nothing wrong) for something they didn't do. Would you look into the problem and try to find proof, or what? Also, why is everyone throwing stuff at you? Is this some kind of tradition now? D: Oh, and please leave my username out. ~username removed
If we were to take action over rumours, false reports, and hearsay, then a lot more accounts would be frozen. We require proof and investigate reports to make sure the player has done what they were reported for before taking any action.
After extensive research (I actually took the time to go through every Neopian Times issue from Issue 150 until I had found my answer), I believe I have found the first issue when you were thrown food. The first instance I could find of you being given food was a cookie in Issue 319, and by Issue 322 you were already receiving all sorts of food and other items. In that same question in Issue 319 you were also thrown a cookie, though the next time a food item was thrown was not until a cookie was tossed in Issue 323. Before that, you were thrown rocks in Issue 283 and given a pet Rock in Issue 311. Interestingly, long before that, YOU gave a USER a cookie in Issue 269. This may not be entirely accurate, but hopefully my time spent searching has helped to satisfy the curiosity of the user who wanted this information in last week's issue. (As a side note, looking through all of those Editorials was fun! It reminded me of how long I’ve been on this site and all of the events I’ve been through!) ~_vegetable_
*blinks* O.O Wow... we figured someone might have the tenacity to go back and look it up, but your thoroughness is commendable! Here, have a cookie. ;)
*Sigh* It's Nabile, here. I've been reading through the Editorial and have just realised why my husband came home smelling like a sewer last week. I keep telling him that it takes a thief to catch a thief. So don't tell Hanso, but I've planned my own little revenge as payback for his antics.
*laughs* Oh, this is going to be good.
