Quote of the Week
He struggles to speak once more, “Y-you all have seen my travels. You knew where I’ve been. Sloth ships on fire off the shoulder of Kreludor. I watched spell beams glitter off the dark of flying Faerieland. Even Lutari Island, you have seen me there! The return of the Neopian Times in New Central, it was graced by me. But in the end, you never knew me, I was what you called a meme, a traveller. And in the end, I have more of a soul than you ever will. Life and memory gone, like discarded information. Goodbye
The Chet Files
My name is Lena, and I’m a journalist for The Coconut, Neopia’s best source for breaking news. We highlight the stories that no other reporters will cover, dive deep into dangerous catacombs to get first-hand interviews with petpet-loving cultists, and obtain in-depth discussions with Neopia’s famous icons; the most notable is our newspaper’s philanthropic mascot: Mr. Coconut. Today we have something even more special to share: the true identity of Chet Flash!
Have I caught your attention yet? Good. Read on to learn more.
You may have heard of Chet Flash. He’s been everywhere and nowhere. All around us, ubiquitous, but without form or feature. |
Chet Fae Wuz Here
If one picks up a copy of the Neopian Times or the Faerieland Gazette, one might notice that periodically, the paper prints a cryptic message that simply says “Chet Flash wuz here.”
Despite the phrase appearing so frequently, asking about Chet Flash around Faerieland usually gets you a blank stare. The faeries all seem to wonder if Chet Flash is another faerie that likes to hide. And then all sorts of strange rumours start to crop up.
Knowing the rumours, we decided to send our Faerieland correspondent to Faerie City to investigate. His first stop was the Faerieland Library. Surely there would be a book that might give a hint, right? Here is what he found. |
| Beware of HTML5 Conversion Fraud
Many Neopians have become victims of fraud with counterfeit goods - Potion of HTML5. Rumours claim that these potions are the only way to adapt to the new HTML5 changes that Neopia is facing. Defenders of Neopia are calling on inhabitants to be careful and prudential.
In recent months, Neopia has undergone significant improvements related to Flash conversion to HTML5 that are affecting the lives of many of its inhabitants. As the situation is still not stable, it is creating favourable conditions for the activities of various fraudsters.. |

"Cali & the Faulty Fairground" by cookiez101 Everything seemed normal that day. Cali, the blue Cybunny, rose early. Sunlight was already peeking into her colourfully decorated room, seeming to fill all the blue-shaded décor within, almost as if there were an ocean of jellyfish filling the walls.
Cali scratched her ears, then stood, unrolling her yoga mat next to her bedside table. Cali completed her routine in order – first focusing on stretching her legs, arms, then ears. After becoming absorbed in her routine, she completed her workout with a final inhale, exhale, then opened her eyes, rolled her mat up, and padded into the kitchen.
Something was slightly off in the kitchen. Entering, she shuffled about, unsure of what was amiss. She ran her paw over her Chokato Table, the centerpiece of her blue-hued kitchen. It felt as if she was running her hand over paper, instead of smoothly painted ceramic. Cali shrugged. Maybe her fur was getting shaggy, was all? |
"Chet Flash Wuz Here, Twumbo, April Fools!" by bubbles150 “What should we do for April Fools Day this year, Mumbo? Last year we mixed Kauvara’s potions though she wasn’t exactly happy about that! This year I want us to do something different and memorable” Twumbo asked as he lay on his Chainmail Meridell Bed and played with an Altador Paddleball.
“Why not turn the Healing Spring Faerie’s water into jelly?” Mumbo asked, imagining the Healing Springs Faerie’s reaction after finding out that her Healing Spring’s Water had turned into jelly.
“That’s tempting but it’s already been done, at least I think so. Hm, we need a better idea, Mumbo” Twumbo said as he continued playing with his Altador Paddleball.
Mumbo jumped onto the Chainmail Meridell Bed and sat with Twumbo. He thought hard wondering what he and Twumbo could do.
“What about the Fountain Faerie’s water then?” Mumbo suggested.
Twumbo shook his head. “No, I don’t think that will work” he said. |
"The Disappearance of Chet Flash: A Gamer’s Revenge" by _brainchild_ It was just another day for Nadaba the Maraquan Draik; she had been up all night playing Flash games in her room, per the usual. Now, at 7 in the morning, it was in her best interest to get some sleep. However, she was so close to getting another coveted Flash game avatar, so she carried on. She was five points away from the avatar when the game crashed.
Her screams could be heard from the other side of the house. “WHAT GIVES?!” she shouted angrily. “I WAS SO CLOSE!!!
“Calm down,” urged her sister, Florezca the Pink Draik.
“Easy for you to say! You don’t even CARE about games. You always have your nose in a book!”
“Is that a crime?”
“No, but neither is enjoying games!”
“Well, yelling won’t help you. What you need is some SLEEP. You’ve been up all night!”
Nadaba sighed. “Well, I am kinda tired... I’ll go take a nap.” The discouraged Draik trudged back up to her room and got some much-needed rest. |
