Faerieland Home by fairyrose3221

"Get out of my shop, you little burden!" screamed the Battle
Faerie to the young miamouse who ran out of the weapon shop faster than the faerie
could let out another word. The Battle Faerie looked mad and looked like she was
just about ready to scream. Luckily, the miamouse had gotten out just in time
and hopped off the cloud and landed close to the Employment Agency.
Jenny, the miamouse, had been as happy as could
be before Jhudora had found her in her purple home. Since then, Jenny had been
hiding in shops trying to find a new home, but had no luck. The weapon shop
had been nice, but with all those sharp swords and Battledome equipment Jenny
had found it a dangerous place to be. Yet once she left her hiding place, the
Battle Faerie had spotted her and shooed her out. Now Jenny was homeless again.
She had dreamed of an elegant and enchanted
place like Fyora's. Jenny had heard of a story involving a countless amount
of harris who lived with the kind faerie and how happy they all were. It would
have been great if Jenny could have found this place and joined them, but rumor
had it that the place was hidden and very difficult to find. So Jenny had stuck
to places that she could see. Actually, Jenny had tried every place that she
had viewed!
Jenny had visited almost every place in Faerieland.
The Book Shop had been nice, but the Library Faerie did not appreciate Jenny
eating the pages of her precious books. The Faerie Foods shop had smelled delicious,
but Jenny's hunger was the reason that home did not last long. The Employment
Agency didn't look like it had any books or food, so far so good.
The Employment Agency seemed busy. Rushing Kacheeks
and Unis were sprinting to the desks, miscellaneous items in their hands. Loudness
echoed off the walls, neopets running to get a job and waving job coupons in
their hands. Jenny looked around. Seems nice, but way too noisy, thought
Jenny. Another place not suited for her.
Next door, the faerie furniture shop was empty,
silent, and peaceful. Jenny peeped in, seeing only one thing: the air faerie.
The air faerie had seen her through the door, too. Jenny tried to hide behind
a fire faerie oven, but the air faerie spotted her just as easily. The miamouse
could have made a run for it, but she wanted to see if she had a chance of this
being a new home.
"What are you doing here?" asked the winged
beauty. Here we go again, thought Jenny. "Are you lost?" Jenny gave the
faerie her best puppy dog eyes, hoping to be taken in, for this shop looked
clean, and the faerie seemed to have been the kindest one Jenny had seen so
far.
"Oh, you poor thing! I'll bring you back home,"
the air faerie stated. To this, Jenny, looked confused and scared. How does
she know where I live? Am I going back to the violet cloud? pondered Jenny.
The air faerie picked the miamouse up and flew
out of her shop. As Jenny looked down, she saw the breathtaking view of Faerieland.
The homes and shops clean, the clouds puffy and pink, and the inhabitants were
smiling and laughing in glee. Jenny had recognized most of the places, but some
she had not. Those places looked like fun since they were games played between
petpets and owners.
They passed the Bookstore and ventured out of
the city. To the left they saw the Fountain Faerie's rainbow, and to the left
was Jhudora's cloud. The air faerie did not even glance at it. Where are
we going then? thought Jenny.
The Faerie Springs looked beautiful. The whole
place was one big fountain. Jenny wished she could have had this view of the
city a long time ago. The faerie flew right passed the springs and looked straight
ahead. They came to a halt a bit right of the Wheel of Excitement.
"There you go honey, now don't go wandering
off again!" said the air faerie. She then jumped back into the sky and flew
back to her humble furniture shop.
Jenny looked at the spinning wheel. Everyone
there was enjoying themselves. The two light faeries spinning the wheel round
and round were laughing as they got dizzy. The rainbow colors of the wheel were
just adding to the joy. Oh how she felt envy for those petpets who were there
with their owners. How happily they all smiled! Jenny would have given anything
to be one of the right now, but…
"What have we here?" Jenny was so focused on
the Wheel of Excitement and its players that she did not even notice the shop
before her. A rainbow encrusted place with a floud on top shown. "How did you
leave the Petpet Shop?" said the owner of the shop, the earth faerie, and picked
Jenny up and placed her on a table.
Around her were a couple harris, purple magarals,
flouds, and meekins. A faellie even flew above the shop and landed on the gentle
faerie's shoulder! Jenny gave the faerie her saddest look, but she merely petted
Jenny behind the ear and walked back to her counter.
The store did not have any customers in it at
the moment. Maybe everyone else in Faerieland has a home except for me,
thought Jenny. Yet a margaral came over to her and had a look in their eyes
that seemed to say, "You're not alone; we all don't have a place to call home
either."
The bell above the shop door rang and a mysterious
figure walked in. Their head was hidden behind the darkness of a hood and a
cloak covered the figure's body. All the petpets in the shop looked at the newcomer
suspiciously, but all tried to look their cutest.
The figure looked around the room, in awe of
all the wonderful petpets around them. Yet one caught their eye, a cute little
miamouse looking at them with big, black, round eyes. The figure could not resist
getting a closer look at the miamouse. It had been so long since they had seen
one. The figure would have given anything for the adorable little petpet.
"Why hello there, and who might you be?" said
the figure in a gentle voice. Picking Jenny up, the figure tickled the miamouse
on the tummy. Jenny purred in delight. "How much?" asked the figure to the earth
faerie behind the counter.
"The miamouse? I believe 7,458 neopoints will
do it," said the earth faerie. Without any hesitation, the figure stuffed their
hand in their pocket and put 8,120 neopoints on the counter and turned away.
The bell above the store door sounded as the happy petpet walked out in its
new owner's hands.
"I'm glad to see you're okay," smiled the new
owner. The figure then revealed their true face by taking off their hood. A
purple faced lady with green lips showed. "You have no idea of how much I missed
you," said the faerie. "Did you miss me?"
