Beginner Battledome Opponents to Earn Neopoints

by desaday

--------

You may have recently found yourself in possession of Illusen’s Staff after the blessings of the Faerie Festival Y25 and thought to yourself, ‘Hey, I should sell this’ – However I’m here to propose the utilisation of this weapon. Not only can you make Neopoints in the Battledome, you may also want to hold your weapon for any upcoming plots that may or may not have a Battledome aspect.

The Neopets Battledome is a thrilling and competitive arena where Neopians from all over the world engage in exciting battles with their beloved Pets. This article is aimed at beginners looking to delve into the world of Neopian combat in order to build their wealth, train their Pets and enjoy another aspect of Neopets by diving into the Battledome.

The following is a selection of beginner-friendly opponents and prizes that can be obtained. It is important to note that the prizes for beating an opponent are pulled from a general pool, a dome pool and an opponent-specific pool. You will win a total of 15 prizes total each day from the Battledome along with 1,500 NP.

     The General Pool

The General Pool holds all Codestones, both tan and red. Along with all weak bottled Faeries. These prizes will be given out regardless of what dome you battle in. Both of these items can be utilised to make your Pets stronger in the dome or sold for profit. Tan codestones are used at Mystery Island Training School and weak bottled faeries will grant you blessings that you can use to train your Pet’s abilities. The red codestones are used for training too, somewhere secret, who knows! We’re just beginners so let’s sell them!

Here are a list of the highest selling items.

     Vux Codestone: 33,600 NP

     Eo Codestone: 18,000 NP

Weak Bottled Fire Faerie: 280 NP

     The Central Arena

The Central Arena is home to Chia Clown, a great starting opponent for a pet who has recently enrolled at Cap'n Threelegs' Swashbuckling Academy. You may have nightmares of Chia Clown’s antics in the Carnival of Terror, no time like the present to enact your revenge. His starting HP is 10 on easy and will open you to the opportunity to win an array of prizes from the Central Arena including the following highest selling item below.

Chocolate Ice Cream: 30,000 NP (infrequent drop)

It’s important to note that the Chocolate Ice Cream will be an infrequent drop from the central arena as this dome has one of the largest prize pools. I would recommend training your pet and moving onto one of the other domes for a larger profit.

     The Neocola Centre

Once you’ve started to feel more confident in the Battledome and you have a couple levels under your belt, the S750 Kreludan Defender Robot is your next target with 14 HP on easy he is still a beginner’s friend. The Neocola centre has a much smaller pool of items and you should receive a frequent amount of Neocola tokens to spend at the Neocola Machine located on Kreludor, I don’t think the chances of doom are too high, or we could just sell the tokens for profit. Below are the highest selling items in The Neocola Centre.

Armoured Negg: 275,000 NP (infrequent drop)

     Red Neocola Token: 3,800 NP

     Green Neocola Token: 3,250 NP

     Blue Neocola Token: 3,000 NP

     The Dome of the Deep

You’ve started to one shot our prior opponents and ready for a bit of a challenge. The Koi Warrior is the next opponent for you. Koi Warrior has 65 HP on easy and is a hidden challenger so you will need to seek him out by looking around Maraqua. Although this dome is located in Maraqua you will win plenty of the Krawk Island’s local currency of Dubloons – there must have been some sort of Dubloon Disaster. Below are the highest-selling items in the Dome of the Deep.

     Five Dubloon Coin: 4,375 NP

     Ten Dubloon Coin: 5,050 NP

     Two Dubloon Coin: 1,100 NP

     One Dubloon Coin: 850 NP

     The Cosmic Dome

The prior Battledome's have been accessible to all Neopians, however the Cosmic Dome is a premium exclusive dome that will net you the most Neopoints. It is home to the infamous Jetsam Ace’s along with the Giant Space Fungus. Our beginner’s target will be Jetsam Ace as his HP starts at 53 on easy and shouldn’t take you long to build up the strength and courage to challenge him. Below is the highest-selling item in The Cosmic Dome.

     Nerkmids: 155,000 NP – 180,000 NP

Once you have access to the Cosmic dome, I recommend setting a goal to go from beginner to Battledome champion and take on our final opponent of mention, the Giant Space Fungus. The Giant Space Fungus is the only challenger who has an opponent-specific prize pool of note. When battling him on hard you will have a chance to win the following prize.

     Bubbling Fungus: 140,000 NP

However he is NOT a beginner-friendly Battledome opponent as the title of this article may suggest. His HP starts at 212 on easy and to access the prize pool with Bubbling Fungus we will need to face him on hard when he has 636 HP.

The Cosmic dome is a perk of premium and provides the best Battledome prizes. If you’re already a premium member I highly recommend visiting this dome daily.

     The Final Note

The domes and opponents mentioned are not the only ones available in the Battledome, however should be the most profitable for beginners and start you on your Battledome journey. As you dive into the battles, remember that every Neopian started as a novice, and with dedication, practice, and a touch of luck, you can become a formidable contender in the Battledome.

While the dreams of earning millions of Neopoints aren't the only reasons to visit the Battledome daily as you can also collect Battledome avatars, trophies and hunt down hidden challengers.

     Good luck out there!
