All that's Fyora is not Purple

by water_park1993

--------

“It’s not purple. It’s pink...” claimed Fyora once, and whoever is familiar with her Blessing should be familiar with this famous quote. The quote was in reference to her magic, specifically that it doesn’t fall in the realm of purple magic but in the realm of pink magic. However, in all my years in Neopia, I have always thought of her magic as purple. Her dress, her staff, her hair and basically every item I can think of that is related to the Queen of Faeries is purple. Therefore, let’s test this hypothesis: Are all items related to Fyora actually pink and not purple? How comfortably can we claim that All that’s Fyora is not purple (and in fact pink?)

vs

Starting off with the Fyora Apple and the Jumble Apple, two very healthy choices for every Neopian, except Kyriis. The Fyora apple is all coloured in a purple palette, even its leaves, and it boasts two wings. In addition, mystical sparkles seem to emanate from the fruit. The Jumble Apple has a more basic form, with green leaves, no sparkles, some patches, which might be shaped like Neopia, and a very pink peel.

All that’s Fyora is not purple?: No, the Jumble Apple is closer to pink and Fyora doesn’t dominate the apple department.

vs

If you’ve eaten your apple then you are probably craving dessert. Why not dive into a Deluxe Fyora Day Cake? Or maybe an Iced Fish Cake, the single most difficult item to choose from the whole list, as the cake category had the biggest variation of items in similar palettes. The Fyora Cake comes in three tiers, topped with a mini tiara. It can fly due to its Fyora wings, and a pink mist surrounds it. The Iced Fish Cake comes in a single tier with the layers being pink, topped with two delicious green fish, which can hold the candles.

All that’s Fyora is not purple?: No, unfortunately, the gross looking Iced Fish Cake is more pink and Fyora dominates the cake department.

vs

Moving on to two goblets, which you can use for your drink while having your apple and cake. On one hand, we have the Fyora Goblet in its expected Fyora palette and a purple mist swirling around it. On the other hand, we have the Ceramic Peophin Goblet, the only goblet in the whole of Neopia with a body colour as close to a shade of pink as possible. As you can certainly note, it can’t be classified as pink, rather as orange with yellow parts.

All that’s Fyora is not purple?:Yes, the Fyora Goblet is the only pink item in its category and Fyora dominates the goblet department.

vs

Next on the list, we have two beautiful looking items. First up is the Fyoras Elixir, with a pink liquid and purple Fyora wings. The expected sparkles surround the vial, in shades of pink and purple. Secondly, the Cursed Elixir of Neovia, with a magnificent shade of purple and a violent, menacing aura which makes it look as if it was glowing. Better not get these two elixirs mixed up!

All that’s Fyora is not purple?: Yes, Fyoras Elixir is the most pink item in this category and Fyora dominates the elixir department.

vs

With the Altador Cup coming right up, please don’t confuse these two items with the Yooyu because they simply are toys. Firstly, the Fyora Yoyo is in a purple palette overall, it has an image of the Queen herself on the sides and is pulled by a yellow string. Secondly, the Pink Poogle Yoyo, shaped like the head of a Pink Poogle with its characteristic triangular ears, puffy cheeks and its tail, is pulled by an off-white coloured string.

All that’s Fyora is not purple?:No, the Pink Poogle Yoyo looks more pink in my opinion and Fyora doesn’t dominate the yoyo department.

vs

For a deep clean scrub and groom for your Neopets, you may be interested in the Fyora Shampoo or the equally effective Snoogy Shampoo. The Fyora Shampoo is in its distinctive purple palette, a recognisable Fyora tiara and wings and a few pink bubbles surrounding the bottle. The Snoogy Shampoo is the most closely coloured bottle and it resembles a Purple Snoogy, with its big wide eyes full of misery staring right into your soul.

All that’s Fyora is not purple?: Yes, the Fyora Shampoo is the most pink item in its category and Fyora dominates the shampoo department.

vs

While you scrub, why not use a fancy new bathtub? You may choose between the Fyora Bath Tub and the Disco Petpet Bath Tub, although I hope you can fit in the latter. The Fyora Bath Tub comes in its expected colour scheme, however, it also comes with an embedded soft bath mat to use when exiting, in appropriate colours. Rumour has it that no bath bombs are needed, given that the pink aura surrounding it provides the necessary ingredients for a lavish lavender bath session. The Disco Bath Tub is far more basic, it comes in a pink colour with a yellow pattern print and frankly, it looks ready to topple over.

All that’s Fyora is not purple?: No, the Disco Petpet Bath Tub’s shade is more pink and Fyora doesn’t dominate the bathtub department.

vs

We finish with the two items which gave me the biggest difficulty concluding for the hypothesis: the Fyora Print Bean Bag and the Meepit Bean Bag. The Fyora item, in its characteristic purple and pink colours, with the Fyora wings printed all over it. In this instance, no mist or sparkle can be seen around the item. The Meepit Bean Bag resembles the body of the intelligent Petpet, the Meepit, in its Purple (or Pink) colour scheme. It even has its fluffy tail at the back.

All that’s Fyora is not purple?: No, after a lot of consideration and thought, the Meepit Bean Bag is more pink and Fyora doesn’t dominate the bean bag department.

If you got confused by the way, I conducted this research, don’t fret. The way this was done was by selecting Fyora items and comparing them with a corresponding item from around Neopia whose colour is the most pink or the closest shade to pink. If she claims her palette is pink, then her items should be the most pink in that specific item category!

Out of the eight examples given, three confirmed the hypothesis and five rejected it. When I started researching for items, I believed that all of them would reject it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that in some categories, the corresponding Fyora item was the most pink one in the specific category. Lastly, even though all of this is quite subjective, I would like to ask the Queen herself to change the name of her magic to purple, as it is more fitting since science says so…
