Snow fell in a hush on black rooftops and parapets, softening the look of decorative spikes and giving white wigs to gargoyles. Firelight flickered in hundreds of windows, creating a swarm of stars in a sea of dark stone. Winters on Darigan Citadel, the toymaker thought, were always peaceful and cozy.
The Darigan-coloured Moehog sat hunched over his workbench, surrounded by projects in progress, while his finished wares hung on walls and crowded shelves around him. On the other side of a large display window, other Neopets, mostly Draconian as well, made their way down the lane, hurrying to get out of the cold.
He paid them no mind. Right now he was crafting the tail for a clockwork Darigan Bori. It was probably the trickiest part of the whole figurine, since Bori had such thin tails. The toymaker had to whittle away at the wood very carefully so it wouldn’t snap, while also leaving enough room for the mechanisms that would make the tail flip back and forth when the key was wound.
A few children ran by, throwing snowballs at each other, and their laughter made the toymaker pause and look up from his work. The children passed without even looking at the toy shop, but the Moehog wasn’t just hoping for customers. He liked the laughter of children. It was something, he thought, that the Citadel needed more of. |

Are you in need of a vacation? Do you simply need a relaxing weekend away from your noisy neighbors who blast Jub Zambra or Gruundo at all hours of the night? Would you like to stay at a luxurious hotel with all the amenities, including a restaurant, indoor pool, and a fitness center? If you said yes to any of those questions, then the Fleapit Hotel is not for you.
I have stayed at many hotels around Neopia, and the Fleapit Motel did not meet my standards. I’ve been to bad hotels before, but this was one of the worst. I didn’t even try to get my neopoints back because I was running out of there so fast. Spend your neopoints wisely and stay somewhere else.
I stepped into the Fleapit Hotel bright and early Saturday morning with high hopes. I was in dire need of a weekend getaway. At first, things seemed promising. The Uni who checked me into the hotel was very friendly, and even offered to carry my luggage up to my room. The hotel lobby was nicely decorated, with deep red carpet, large windows, and beautiful paintings on the walls.While the Uni was taking my bags to the room, I decided to check out the fitness center. I walked in, expecting to see lots of exercise equipment, but all I saw was an empty room. I asked the attendant where the fitness center was. She said,

A lot of things had been on her mind lately. She and her partner, Uchiha Zwiro, were in talks to be promoted to Rank III defenders. With that would come a whole new slew of responsibilities - and the possibility that she and Uchiha would be assigned different partners.
She had been with Uchiha ever since her promotion from Cadet so long ago. They had been through so much together, and were loyal with each other through all of it. Uchiha was a powerful ally with his immense strength and speed, he was kind, strong, and brave, and there was something about that cheeky smile and those warm brown eyes...
The hairs on the back of Mimi's neck stood up, as if they were charged with static electricity. Mimi glanced behind her, but saw no one. Perhaps there was a storm coming, or her magical powers were flaring with her emotions again...
A hand clasped over her mouth, a hand that smelled of ozone and made her teeth sting as if she'd bitten into metal. Mimi's magic flared, but the hand did not relent. A harsh voice whispered into her ear."Hello, sister."
