 Petpet Name: Kenji Owner: swittren Pet Name: Solittario Breed: White Doglefox About Kenji: My name is Sol and this is the story of my Petpet, Kenji. We’ve been together for over eight years now. It seems just like yesterday when I first saw the little ball of fluff. I have to admit, when he first became mine, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. It was quite some years ago -- I can't quite remember the exact day -- when the Advent Calendar presented everyone with Christmas Doglefoxes. I was probably only a year old. My owner had been raising Neopoints like crazy to purchase one, so this really was a dream come true! I was taking a nap when the door slammed. Opening a single eye, I gave Switt a quizzical look before returning to my slumber. Well, at least I tried to. "Sol! Sol! Oh, you lazy thing. I have a present for you!" Switt cried cheerily, attempting to rouse me to the same state of excitement she was in. With a deep sigh I decided to play along, lifting my head, producing a yawn, and then standing after shaking my head in an attempt to wake myself. I lazily made my way over while Switt’s frown deepened. "Seriously, Sol. It wouldn’t kill you to walk a bit faster..." she mumbled. When I finally made my way over, I sat down in front of her. The next thing I knew, this little... festive ball of fluff was at my paws. It looked up at me with these large blue eyes and a tongue that was falling out of its open mouth. I sneered -- I was an only child, so the idea of having some company didn't really appeal to me, especially someone that looked like a character in a Christmas story. "Er... thanks Switt, but I don't--" I stopped short however, cowering slightly. The look on Switt's face was an ultimate death stare, so I clamped my mouth shut and managed a fake smile. One thing I haven't mentioned yet in this story is that I'm a mutant Lupe. My owner had tried buying me Petpets before, but none of them could handle the sight of me. Therefore, it was strange that this Doglefox wasn't running away in fear like the rest of them. To test this, I snarled at it, doing my best to be intimidating. Switt gasped in horror, but the Petpet kept sitting there, watching me, until he tilted his head to the side as if to say, "Is that the best you can do?" He inhaled and let out his own growl, though it wasn't very frightening. Before I knew it I was laughing -- rolling on the floor, in fact, clutching my stomach while tears ran down my face. From that moment on, we were the best of friends. It would be a few months before Kenji was painted white instead of Christmas. The change didn't alter his personality one bit, however. He is the nicest, most carefree pet I've ever met in my life. We've been together for many years and have gone through thick and thin. I wouldn't be the Lupe that I am today without him.
