Utility Fish
by Chavo_guerrero

What a terrible oddity,
Is the Utility Fish,
They're not perfect for a toolbox,
Nor tasty in a dish.

And yet, they all appear to be,
A most unusual bunch,
But again not something you or I,
Would want to try for lunch.

A little fishy one minute,
A knife, a clamp, a pen,
Once you've seen what they can do,
You'll never forget again!

But really, what's the purpose,
Of this fantastic camouflage?
Of blending into a Neohome,
They would be the stars!

But underneath the sea they dwell,
Where these objects are not found,
But still they're changing all the time,
They truly do astound.

So next time you see a Utility Fish,
Although it may baffle and confuse,
Although it may make you
Scratch on your head,
Because it really can bemuse.

Ask it why it chose that shape,
Of hammer, wrench or saw,
And very nicely you might point out,
Why under the sea, it's a flaw.

Kauvara's Magic Shop
by Jokerless

Within the heart of Neopia
It stands, shrouded in mystery
Rumored to hold, in practice,
The art of magic and wizardry

Internally is an unknown world
Of alchemy and enchantment
Potions brewing all around
Whilst wands wave to invent

At the base of a cauldron
Kauvara teases strange mist
Beaker held in hand tight
She scoops it up in a twist

The mist trembles in its jar
Before its laid atop a table,
Released into a potion bottle,
and then stirred until it's stable

There's plenty to go around
Try one for yourself and see
A change of shape and size
Might just be what you need

The Wise Old Gnorbu's Tribute To Kreludor
by Lil_miz_forgettful

Extended high within a starry current
Inhabiting not only space but time
Sits Kreludor on a string of movement
Each orbit expires the present’s climb

A ghostly quiet, a cosmic white
Neopia needs it when their light is low
It tugs waves that enclose me in a bed of night
Yet proves its presence through my window

Its radiance spills over all of Shenkuu’s sect
Slipping in cracks along cemented roads
Casting a ghostly visage
On the land and reflects
In unchanging monotone, the longing it goads

But one day our moon ceased flight
Eyes open even with the sun so high
I saw the moon’s second-hand light
Posed alongside the same sky

Peacefully, another day renewed
It erases its tracks of yesterday’s progress
I simply then record and conclude;
The science of charts and schedule

On the day they discover my absence
I’ll be on course of Kreludor’s beam
Where amidst the peace and silence
Contentment; everyday’s the same dream.

Chickaroo
by Quillweave

All across Neopia,
There are sniffles and sneezing,
Oozing spots and growing lumps
Plus suffocating wheezing.

Grumbles and Neggitus,
Fuzzitus, Neopox,
with all manner of salves and cures
From goop to smelly socks.

But the strangest of these ills
Is not Lumps or Neoflu,
But the oddest of afflictions,
That is called Chickaroo!

First, your Neopet begins to peck
And scratch their feet and crow,
(And scuff up the new flooring
In your Neohome... oh, woe!)

They'll cackle at the break of dawn
And eat up all your grains,
They're sick, they're ill, they need a cure,
(Though they'll be in no pain!)

For your pecking 'pet you'll need
Not potions or a shot,
But simply Herbal Scrambled Eggs,
Served fresh and piping hot!

So if your Neopet's laying eggs
And feeling rather clucky,
Maybe from a chance of fate
Or spin of wheel unlucky,

Head on up to the Pharmacy
For the cure to Chickaroo,
It may be a bit pricey,
But an omelette won't do.

When your Neopet's feeling better
You can let them out to play.
Let them come home with Sneezles
On some other distant day!

Lovely Grams
by Peircedchic

A new item has hit the mall
Oh boy, do we want it all.
A lovely Valentine gram,
Seeking one? Yes I am.

With 200 NC one of these you could see,
Go head on over the NC mall,
Don't wait up for me.

They come with nice surprises
And limited editions, too,
And if you're a lucky one
You could own one too.

Or if you are a collector
Add this to your nice collection,
Or, if not, you can make another selection.

Choose a great wearable
And attach it to your 'pet,
He will love it I bet.

So don't forget your gram,
They are only here for a limited time,
Better head on over
Before you run out of time.
