The Nox Mansion
by Kuroge

Not a sound can be heard
from the eerie hallways
within the tall mansion,
filled with now-empty days.

A pompous portrait
of the mansion's owner
draws only the dusty air
and the silence closer.

Cobwebs line the staircase,
coloring it white and gray,
revealing cracks in the wood,
leaving only a foul display.

The once-grand pillars
that held the structure,
has decayed and rotted,
lost its brilliant luster.

But the saddest of all things
is the lack of a soul inside,
the magnificent lair
where Nox once did reside.

Orrin
by Blizzara_vexen

I run the storeroom, that's what I do,
a trying task though it may be,
I ensure that it gets done,
Captain Tuan, he counts on me.

With inventory piled high,
without discernable end in sight,
I count the Bluchards feverishly
the same way I did on that fateful night.

I'm still unsure on why it happened,
I hadn't seen much while in the stores,
just heard the scream, the terrified shriek
of someone falling overboard.

But locked beneath the deck I couldn't
do too much to help the poor man,
but if I had, perhaps we wouldn't have
had to travel from land to land.

Our search, it could have ended there
with Hoban brought back safe and sound.
But that locked door and horrid storm
stopped him from being quickly found.

Without my help, he'd still be floating
out upon the open sea,
lost to all of us forever,
of course no one has yet thanked me.

But Hoban has, and that's enough
for someone like me, I suppose.
I'm too humble, I think, to have any place
among any of Shenkuu's heroes.

Since the incident we've learned something,
a lesson we've applied faithfully hence,
The inventory will be completed...
but force may have its consequence.

Barf Boat
by Lilahne_aluoki

The wind was howling,
And the seas were high.
Dark clouds skidded
Across the angry sky,
And the pirate crew
From below deck cried,

"Captain Arf,
Steer us to shore!"

Captain Arf was brave,
And the Captain was quick,
When he wasn't busy
Being seasick.
For Captain Arf knew
Every sailing trick.

"I'll get us home!"
The Captain swore.

The deck dipped down,
And the sail swung free,
And the First Mate fell
Into the raging sea.
And the ship's cook muttered,
"Better him than me."

The pirate crew knew
They were done for.

The boat hit a shoal
With a sickening crunch,
And Captain Arf promptly
Lost his large lunch.
The crew didn't appreciate
The smell very much.

"We don't want to sail
With the captain any more!"

Captain Arf cried,
"Let's put it to a vote."
Grimacing, the crew
Leapt right off the boat.
And in the storm-wracked sea
They did their best to float.

And that's why pirate Petpets
Keep washing ashore.

Mysterious Negg Cave
by Indulgences

Craggy rocks and looming cliffs,
A sky of blinding grey,
A Negg Cave so mysterious
Has game inside to play

The road that leads into the cave
Is pebbly, rough, untrod,
The puzzle, though, is sparkling gold --
The scene is rather odd

You'll slide the pieces left and right,
You'll move them up and down,
You cannot flip or rotate them
The puzzle will confound

If you break down, the Negg has won,
No prize will you receive,
So try your luck at solving it
A win you will achieve!

Ever-Burning Eyes
by Onryoofthedarkness

He with the horn of flame is not awake,
An opportunity I have to take,
I swallow, stepping oh-so-lightly past...
He stirs! I must proceed and do it fast.

I swallow, staring into liquid fire,
Feeling the slightest doubt in my desire,
A fissure at the sound of a loud grunt,
What am I thinking, pulling such a stunt?!?

If I leave now I'll have nothing to show,
I'd stay a little yellow Scorchio,
But, man oh man, does it look hot in there
What can I do besides stay still and stare?

What does that crazy Tonu call "Well versed?!?"
This isn't something that can be rehearsed.
Knowledge to step inside a flaming pool?!?
This journey is a joke and rather cruel.

A yawn! A spastic leap and I'm inside!!!
From flaming depths I hear the Tonu chide,
But he says nothing when, at last, I rise
and face him with my ever-burning eyes.
