A Silent Moment By themurt1

I walk along without a word,
For now is the time of Silence.
One must watch and wait and be still,
To hear the lonely quietness.
I think in my head, like most do,
About this time of Silence.
Each creature is still, so still,
Listening to something
That can't be heard.
To break this silence, my Lupe mind says,
Would be like shattering
Pales of glass with my head.
It would hurt, disturb and frighten:
Maybe even stir the lonely souls
That have passed on
So I do, I howl, A long dragging howl
That streches on forever.
And the time of Silence is gone
Many flee, unsettled from the wail
In my throat.
I should feel bad.
My cry has rent the air with unholy noise.
I destroyed the time of Silence.
I shrug.
Who needed it anyway?

Born To Fly By kalet

The baby Uni tentatively rustled her wings
As she stepped out
Into the warm, golden light
The other Uni colts
Danced in the blue sky
Proud of their achievements,
They boasted how no one
Could surpass their flying skills
Not one Uni in the world
The little Uni neighed softly
As she walked gracefully
Into the dewy green meadows
The other Unis were jealous
And filled with envy
Her wings were pure white,
Tinted with a silver glow
She moved those wings
And leapt high in the air
Past the tallest tree
She soared above the highest clouds
Where the stars shone down on her
They blessed her with their silvery light
Showering her with rare starbeams
When she returned to Neopia
The Unis gave this little Uni a name of honor:
StarAngel

The Sad Skeith By compaq 25

The sad but angry Skeith lays on the grass,
waiting for it's chosen owner.
He wishes to lay by a hot, crackling fire,
with his owner and love ones that care.
He has been called names
like ugly, pig, and a big stupid dog.
He was strong in the heart,
but weak in the soul.
He knew that his owner,
would come to his rescue one day,
to save him from the name calling and embarrassment.
And like he wished for,
his owner came
and they sat by the fire,
hugging each other for a long time.
And from that day on,
he was never ever sad again.

my duty By maplestarre

my long ears hurt
pain fills my body
i cannot go on.
i ache.
why must i be here
in the ice caves?
why must i be here?
my owner made me travel
here to the ice caves
going to the neggery
to trade my neggs for special neggs
but on my way here
i got attacked by the monocerous
barely making it away with my life.
i fell into
an icy lake
almost drowned.
a chia had no idea what i was
and tried to hurt me.
i said, "i am only a little tiny usul
going to the neggery."
i go through the snow.
i hurt.
but i know that it is my duty
to do my best.

The Truth About the Battledome By hershey9

A victorious Shoyru steps out from the arena
Cheers following him as he walks with pride
And as his miserable challenger is carried away
Black and blue in her loving owner's arms
A look is taking over her eyes
A look of incredible sadness... and fear
She fears that she has disappointed her owner
Beyond ever being loved again
It is my turn
I don't want to go, I refuse to go
I realize now that I lose either way
With the coming of defeat,
I will cry forever from the loss
And with the accomplishment
Of beating a fellow neopet
I will cry even longer from the guilt
