Spider Grundo's Dark Loom
By Anjie

Fear the core of nightmares bleak,
And of his realm beware!
Walk the path most fear to tread,
Near Spider Grundo's lair.

All pets fear to speak his name,
It's whispered in the night.
Causing all to quake with fear,
Evoking awe and fright.

Lurking in his hidden cave,
In frenzy does he spin.
Weaving strands of deadly web,
So gossamer and thin.

He was a slave of Doctor Sloth,
A potion he did try.
Too late Sloth realized his mistake,
And all had gone awry.

Spider Grundo dwells alone,
That web his only friend.
For those who find his secret lair,
Soon meet a sticky end.

Eight legs weave a wicked web,
Strands glisten in damp cave.
Compelled just to spin and spin,
The web made him its slave.

Stray not to the hidden paths,
So cast in eerie gloom.
Spider Grundo weaves nearby,
Upon his shadowed loom.

The Sovereign Returns
By Kushbi

Cloudless skies in amber, glow,
Dusk will soon arrive,
And from afar a royal Lupe treks
Across the forest, wide.

His velvet cloak a-billowing
In silent gentle breeze,
A frown upon his heavy brow
Betrays a burden deep.

'Twas a night ridden in storm
When giant Grarrls did strike,
Spreading terror everywhere,
They banished him from sight.

A fortnight's sun did rise and set
Above the conquered land,
With nary news of exiled king,
The Grarrls were soaking glad.

But creatures evil know not that
The sovereign's duty bound.
Bring freedom to subjects,
He will, and not back down.

Thus armed with sword newly forged
And courageous resolve,
Returns the Lupe who will reclaim
His sceptre and his crown.

The Snowager
By Brilliance109p

Beneath incessant snow and ice,
The frost and winter cold,
There is a beast who sleeps and wakes,
Guarding stacks of gold.

Long-lost time held in his hands
Have spent on guard and seek,
Neggs abound and kept beneath,
The icy mountain peak.

His eyes; they glow of diamond jewels,
His teeth; like crystals white,
His slender body protects his gems,
And guards them through the night.

First he dreams of trunks of gold,
Then he wakes to keep,
His treasure safe from any harm,
Then settles back to sleep.

Sonnet to Albert the Kacheek
By Laurelinden

Where are the flowers, once in your dreams?
And what of the shop on the corner?
Where are the days
When you'd plant in the earth,
And wait for the sun to get warmer?

Albert, once spotted, now mutant-grotesque,
Wretched captive of deep haunted woods,
Gone are the dreams of a life now long past,
Will you never now do what you could?

A growling stomach, a grumbling maw;
Your new master now barks your commands.
But think of the sun far above the black trees;
Remember when you were free of this land.

Your face cannot hide a heart that is true;
Dream again, and let hope come back to you.

Terror of a Mountain
By The_pearl_of_grace

Flurries of pure blizzard by a glinting
Fire; resting carelessly on a frigid glacial
Peak; which the sun dwells its gentle
Radiance; of the wispy echo of lilting
Melodies; weaving its vines of twilight
Glow; illuminating its terror of the masked.

Wings of untainted aura whirling upon thee
Beast; of ice that sleeps the terror
Unbound; the pine sways its reverberation barely
Audible; among hushed white lips of diamond
Waters; slumber its abstruse of emotions flying
Limitless; void of myriad pallid
Crystalline shadows.

Thus a flight of whirls of magic
Residue; of terror will dim its sorrowful
Harmony; of the shadows caught in diamante
Ice; made men back through the twirling
Past; the declining fiery touch of warmth
Given; the terror of screams muffled within.
