Good Shop Keeping Isn't That Hard After All by Cybergal50000 | |
Everyone makes having a good shop seem so hard... Your shop doesn't have to
be big or include fancy HTML to have people like it. People are there to get
items, honestly, they don't care how wonderful your graphics are.
The only thing you need to do to have a good shop is follow these simple instructions,
and you might just have some better business!
Well, first off, you absolutely don't need to know any good HTML to own a shop.
Many players will try to fill up their shop with fancy graphics and such, thinking
people will like their shop better. But honestly, the people who go to your
shop aren't looking for graphics, they're looking for items! Sure, I admit backgrounds
and occasionally graphics look nice, but that's not the reason people go back
to your shop. They're really looking for good prices.
One of my first tips is, when you are looking for food to put in your shop,
don't look on the Shop Wizard. The Food Shop is the best place to buy food,
and it is much lower than prices off the Shop Wizard. Also, you'll know that
you are buying it for the true price. On the Shop Wizard you can buy Grapes
for 35 Neopoints, while at the Food Shop and other shops in the Main Shops section
for 5 Neopoints! The key is to not buy something that you will regret buying!
Pricing is also very important. The best way to price is going to the Shop
Wizard and searching for every item in your shop, then put in the lowest prices.
It may take a while, but believe me, if you have the cheapest stuff on the market,
your shop will sell out in a flash! Remember, people want fair prices on fair
items. Don't sell a Pile of Sludge for 500 Neopoints. First off, your shop will
get a bad reputation on prices, and no one will buy it.
Now, the one thing that will get you Neopoints out of this. You must make a
profit! If you buy Beefy Broccoli for 35 Neopoints, then sell it for under that,
you will only be losing money. So, if you do buy from the Main Shops, just make
sure you still will be earning money. You probably won't run into this problem
though.
Also, your shop doesn't have to be big to get customers. A good shop size is
Size 5 or 6. That way you will have enough room for enough items that the customer
will have some variety to choose from. If your shop is only size one or two,
don't get flustered. Don't waste your Neopoints on something you aren't very
experienced at. Some people have enough patience to go through the Shop Wizard
searching for the lowest prices, while others might get most of their money
from finding items from exploring, and selling them.
I hope this guide works, I guarantee that you will get better business. For
some shops just aren't the way they want to earn money, and I totally respect
that. I know that there are numerous ways to get some quick cash on NeoPets,
but shops do seem to be one of the more popular ways. Anyway, I hope that this
guide will help you keep a successful shop and earn a bit of extra money! |
