To this day, millions of Neopians all over Neopia have donated loads of stuff
to the one and only place where donations are open to the general public, The
Money Tree. The Money Tree is a place where Neopians short on cash and food
to feed their pets go to and pick up money and items to help them get over their
crisis. However, I’ve spoken to some of my friends and realised that they’re
actually going to the Money Tree to pick up free food and toys, even when their
pets are very pampered and don’t need to live on these donations! Not only that,
they rob the tree of its money which were donated generously by fellow Neopians
and the ghosts, when they’re pure millionaires!
I know that many of you reading this do that too, I’m no exception since I
did it once, but how stingy can one get? The Money Tree is not a place for wealthy
owners to come by and pick up stuff just because it’s free. There are many many
more owners around the world who need these food more than you! Their pets are
starving because the owners don’t have enough money to buy them food, and without
them the pets will eventually fall ill. These people definitely fit into the
‘very needy’ category far more than you all, for crying out loud! Well, I’m
sure now you all might be asking, “Why can’t I take the donations, there’s bound
to be someone to fill them up again, right?” If you’re thinking that way, then
you’re a very irresponsible owner. Here’s a few of reasons for you to think
over that might change your attitude towards the Money Tree.
1) Remember, the more you take from the tree, the lesser chances are for you
to pick up random items around the site which means no paintbrushes and faeries
or whatsoever.
2) There’s no guarantee that people will donate and fill the tree back up again,
once they realise that their items and money are not put into good use.
3) Your conscience will get you.
4) People will get restless and stop playing Neopets if their pets are constantly
in bad-shape. You don’t want that to happen, do you? It might be your best friend,
for all you know!
5) What’s the use of getting tons and tons of items and money when you don’t
really need them, and there’s someone else trying very hard to get their hands
even on a piece of Leek?
I hope that what I’ve written has changed your mind about taking the money
and stuff from the tree that you don’t need and unless you’re really down-and-out,
please refrain from even thinking of going near the tree and let alone
lay a finger on the items. For the sake of Neopia and fellow Neopians, I’ll
like to appeal to all of you to stop abusing our Money
Tree! |
