Doomsday Rider II: Part One by yugo149 | |
In case you haven't read Doomsday
Rider, this story is all about what happened after the defeat of Scorpio
and Armos, the strongest threats to Neopia to date. The story is again told
from Doomsday_Rider's eyes, and certain names have been changed.
It was a bright, nice day, at least a year after Scorpio was destroyed by Boomdogg,
and I was getting ready to meet Boomdogg and Tical, Tical being a former minion
of Armos, and Anubis III in the San-katahn Forest--Anubis' territory. I was
going to try to teach Tical how to fly, because she didn't know how to yet.
I took off, carrying my Million Degree Sword and the Jadestone in my pack.
***
"Haven't we got a lock on that planet yet?" A mysterious, young, super-strong
creature asked.
"Not yet, si--wait, sire! We've got a lock on Neopia! Should I fire the Jetsam
Missile?" an oddly shaped Phoenician bull asked.
"Not yet, Toro, I want to have a little fun on this planet."
"Prince Zing-Lau, haven't you heard the story of what happened to Scorpio and
Armos down there?" a dark Shoyru asked.
"Yes, I have heard the stories, Shadow, but don't forget, I'm the prince of
the planet Phoenicia, and no group of Neopians can defeat the Phoenician prince,"
Zing-Lau replied.
"Sire, we've found the group that destroyed Scorpio and Armos, they're a Shoyru,
two Kyrii, and at least two Lupes, and, WHAT?! Princess Tical is with them!"
a skelos Pteri said.
"My sister, Tical, with a bunch of Neopians?!" Zing-Lau asked.
"Apparently she's in love with a blue Shoyru, sire," the skelos Pteri
said.
"Well, we've got to destroy Neopia then, Spectre, Skull Ptero, Toro, Mechanicore,
we're going to war," Zing-Lau commanded.
"What about me, Prince Zing-Lau?!" Shadow asked.
"Shadow, you will stay here and guard the ship," Zing-Lau answered.
"You know, Prince Zing-Lau, perhaps you should let Shadow fight in this war,"
Mechanicore's gentle voice said.
"Mechanicore, I know what I should and shouldn't do. Shadow almost lost our
last war for us," Zing-Lau said.
"Prince Zing-Lau, you have to understand, I gave him the order to unleash the
Monoceraptor on Tyrannia. I told him to unleash everything we had on Neopia,
we almost lost, but you have to understand, it was my fault," Mechanicore said.
"Perhaps it was your fault, Mechanicore, but, heh heh...I'm afraid Shadow has
been faced with both the crime, AND the punishment," Zing-Lau said, raising
his hand slowly while a Spark flickered in it, and then, he fired the Spark
at Shadow, vaporising him. "Good, now that Shadow's out of the way, I can have
the four of you help me conquer Neopia. Toro! Get that generator over here!"
Toro bowed his head and said, "Yes, Prince Zing-Lau." Toro then grabbed the
generator and pulled it toward Zing-Lau.
"That's fine, Toro," Zing-Lau said. "Although, we need the Jadestone, Rubystone,
Citrinestone, and Opalstone to make this generator work properly." Zing-Lau
held his hands directly over the generator. "Toro, you get the Jadestone. Spectre,
you get the Rubystone. Skull Ptero, you get the Citrinestone. And Mechanicore,
you get the Opalstone," Zing-Lau said, his eyes narrowing to mere slits on his
masked face. "We're going to conquer Neopia!"
***
"Huh?! What was that?!" Tical said, looking to the horizon.
I ran up beside her to see what she was looking at. "Oh my god...that thing
looks just like the Needle Floater," I said.
"Oh no! My brother, Zing-Lau, is probably here, and chances are, he has his
eyes set on conquering Neopia," Tical said.
"Zing-Lau? He sounds like a wuss to me," Boomdogg said, calmly walking up to
Tical and me.
"Boomdogg, Zing-Lau is at least ten times stronger and faster than Scorpio
could ever hope to be," Tical said. Everybody's jaw dropped, even mine.
"You've got to be kidding," I said. "Nobody could be stronger than when we
beat Scorpio. I've seen even the strongest NeoPets quiver at the mention of
Scorpio, and we're supposed to beat Zing-Lau? Not likely!"
"Come on, Rider, for me?" Tical asked and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I started
to blush.
"Tical, how long before Zing-Lau arrives at Neopia Central?" I asked.
"He should be here at about seven o'clock, but how is that going to help you
guys beat Zing-Lau?" Tical asked.
"You'll see," I said. "Boomdogg, we're going to need you to be as strong as
you've ever been, okay?" Boomdogg nodded. "Chao, Evanda, I'm going to need you
two do some research on Phoenicia and find out the terrain there, okay?" They
both nodded. "Anubis, can you start mixing shape-shifted forms?" He nodded.
"Okay, Beast, I need you to go with Chao and Evanda and supply us with the best
weapons for this war, okay?" He nodded. "Okay everybody, we have until seven
o'clock to prepare for Zing-Lau, we can do this mission!"
Later that night...
We all stood prepared on the border of Neopia Central, awaiting Zing-Lau's
arrival. "Anybody got the time?" I asked, clenching my Million Degree Sword
from when we defeated Scorpio and Armos.
Boomdogg looked at the large clock in the centre of Neopia Central. "Six fifty-nine,"
he said, it was almost time.
"I think he's here!" I was looking directly at the shapes of a young person,
probably Zing-Lau, and a large Phoenician-type bull.
"Toro, destroy all of them except for Tical, NOW!" Zing-Lau shouted.
"Zing-Lau, you'll have to get through me first!" I shouted, charging at Zing-Lau
and slashing at him with it. He'd vanished! I looked up and he was sitting in
a floating chair. I took a slash at Toro and nailed him in the head, but all
it did was cracked one of his horns. "We're in major trouble," I said, jumping
back and doing my best to hover. I landed as soon as I could, and tried to cut
Toro's leg to ribbons, I did, and managed to shove him into the ocean. Toro
was defeated.
"You may have won this round, Doomsday_Rider, but you'll never win the war!"
Zing-Lau shouted as he retreated on his floating chair.
"That wuss, he ran away," I said, sheathing my sword. "Tical, does he
have any more minions?" I asked.
"Yes, I believe four more...err...no wait, three more, he destroyed one of
them," Tical said, looking down at the ground and sighing.
"Well then I think we should storm Zing-Lau's base, where is it?" I asked.
"Somewhere between the Lost Desert and the Haunted Woods," Tical said.
"Then it looks like that's our destination," I said, taking a deep breath.
I looked at the ocean, a fragment of Toro's horn was floating, being pushed
around by the waves.
***
"Sire, where's Toro?" Mechanicore asked when Zing-Lau stomped into his lair
carrying the Opalstone.
"At the bottom of the ocean," Zing-Lau said, sitting in his floating chair.
"Toro was defeated by that wretched Shoyru. And they know where our base is,
we've got to move it, now!" Zing-Lau set his chair into the control chamber
and typed the commands to move.
Outside the ship...
"Rats! We're too late!" I said, as we watched the gigantic ship take off and
move to somewhere else on Neopia. "Zing-Lau and his gang got away!"
"Rider, my brother and his army won't leave a planet until they've conquered
it, even if they were defeated," Tical said. "The only person who defeated Zing-Lau
lives on Phoenicia."
Everybody groaned. It was only year 5, and Neopia had already been invaded
countless times. "Things are just not going our way this year," Boomdogg said.
"You bet they aren't, Boomdogg," I said.
"I hope Midnight's all right," Anubis said.
"Anubis, the fate of the entire planet of Neopia is at stake, and you're worrying
about one Lupess. I really should swat you," I said.
"Sorry, Rider," Anubis said.
"Well, we'd better find out where Zing-Lau's base is now," I said.
***
Zing-Lau drummed his fingers on the cold, steel arm rest of his floating chair.
"Soon, Neopia will be ours!" he shouted, followed by an evil, maniacal cackle.
To be continued...
Next, on Doomsday Rider II, our heroes storm Zing-Lau's ship to try and
stop him before his evil plan can unfold, although, Zing-Lau knows they are
coming! But how did he know that our heroes were getting close? |
