Now many people know how to play in the Battledome, and giving out tips
is really all that is needed to give the OK people to fight. Very good
people don't even have to read tips at all. But it has come as a surprise
to me that a very good amount of people don't even know what to do in
the Battledome. Not that they have poor weapons or no magic abilities,
just that they don't even know how to fight!
Before I find myself telling them to wait for ten minutes so that I could
withdraw, it doesn't seem fair to me to win against a person who has no
idea what they are doing. Now that is canceled, I found the need of writing
this article. True, NeoPets had a great idea to allow users not to accept
battles, but what good would it do to the Newbies (until NeoPets creates
the one-player challenges, but even then people have no idea what to do).
The new people will still have no knowledge of the battle ground.
I would hope that everyone has a good idea on how to equip their stuff.
If you don't have anything, try going in the battle magic shop and buy
a few things. Don't forget to get some defensive items as well. For those
who are so need of instructions, click on the item then in the drop down
box then on "equip (pet name)".
I saw this comment in every article, and I can't find a better way to
say it, Do some research on your enemy pet! If they have stats beyond
horizons, don't fight them!
If you're willing to fight, you should inform the enemy that you're new
to the entire picture. Luckily, the withdraw before the battle is still
operational. Maybe you'll learn that your opponent is also new and both
of you could learn as slowly as you want. As for the higher class fighters,
you could help them learn like I like to do, or just reject because having
such an easy win is not a good thing for both of you. If you want a win,
at least make it with someone that knows how to fight.
When you're in the Battledome, don't forget you could choose up to TWO
items to be used at the same time. I notice that many people don't know
this fact, and always attack without defending. You could choose TWO
attacks, TWO defends or a mixture of both. As stated in a previous
article, Fierce Attack is a nice attack since it adds some counters to
your weapons, but don't underestimate the defensive powers that are added
with the other attacks.
This might not be very useful to Newbies, due to the fact they have no
idea the different types of attack available. But there are different
attacks, and some could be blocked or absorbed by certain items the opponent
has. All I could say is that try to have as many different types of attacks
as you could have.
Other than that, everything is pure testing. Try and learn. I just learned
that people are allowed to accept or reject withdraws. If the person is
bad and has no idea what to do, please find honour to accept those who
have no idea what to do.
