So, the Trading
Post is back! We are all happy to see that we can now get rid
of these codestones you don't want to use or these toys all your pets
are bored of. But sometimes, the trading post may not be the wonderful
place it can be. Why? Read my do's and don'ts to learn more:
Do's
Be respectful of the potential traders Don't forget that if you treat
your potential traders like idiots by showing them things they don't want
of and say that "this is worth a lot!" or "I want a Faerie Paint Brush"
for a piece of junk. Your potential traders may run away! But, still some
people are abusing the Newbies by overpricing their items and get away
with it! Watch out!
The trading post isn't a Noticeboard!
Nobody really wants to hear about the huge contest in your shop if they
came to get a rubber duck for a Faerie Quest. There is a place a lot more
useful and that's called the Noticeboard, otherwise, there's the chat.
Have a clear idea of what you want
If you say "I looove NP" or "I want good stuff", people will not know
exactly what you want. Do you want 1000 NP? 100 000 NP? A Codestone? A
Golden
Paint Brush? Some people don't like to lose their time responding
to an offer they don't even know if they can afford.
Don'ts
Make too big of an offer, like some of the finest, rarest Battledome
items plus one of these super-rare collector's stuff, it's sure that
gallery owners and Battledome masters will just come to your feet like
dogs to get what you have. But, 99.99% of the Neopians will not be able to afford
these. The other 0.01% may not even see your offer or just pass their
way because they wanna buy something else. Be reasonable or put them in
single packs or sell them in your shop!
Small valued junk
A Ripped
Chia doll, alone? Nobody will trade a Codestone or more than 100
NP for this! Once more, the shop would be the best option. If you know
how to set your prices, you can take little profit in no time instead
or getting 10 more Neopoints in 3 years.
"Go check my other trades"
Nobody will send you an offer if you just put this as your request! Even
if it's the Rod of Supernova you're showing, people won't check your other
offers if they don't know what to do to get them!
"More details on how to get this at my shop"
Huh ho... It smells like a fake contest 2000 miles away... For trade offers,
be VERY cautious of these kinds of requests! even if the offering is just
too much, buying a lipstick for 4000 NP is just pure throwing NP in the
garbage can! If they can't put any good item in their shop, forget the
contest! Trust me, you won't see the NP you sent for quite a while...
That's about all, folks! I hope after reading this you
will help making the trading post the wonderful place is!
