The Truth Behind Earning More Neopoints

by gmoonshadow

Since I started reading the Neopia Times, I've seen a lot of articles telling you how you can get rich, why the rich should help the poor, why the system is unfair, and so on. Not long ago, I got to thinking, why not write up an article on not only how easy it is to make money, but how much you can make? Previous articles have told one where to go to get NP and items, but not what you can get. So for one month, I recorded everything I received and every way I got it, to share with you.

Shop: The shop was by far the best way to earn money over the 31-day period, with a net gain of 28,890 NP from it alone. This was with a relatively small investment-frequently I put my winnings from other games into the shop.

Meerca Chase: I played this game three times a day for a total of 18 days. Total earnings: 13,655. I played at the Hard level with a usual minimum of 150 points before I'd send the score. I also earned one Magical Meerca Plushie.

Wheel of Excitement: Spinning the Wheel 40 times, while costing me 4000 NP, gained me a net total of 6781 NP. (That's what I got after subtracting the money spent to play.) In addition to that, I gained one item and one ability increase.
Total money wins: 18
Total money losses: 12
Total items gained: 1
Total negative events: 4

Kiko Match: I played this three times a day on ten different days, for a total earnings of 5622 NP.

Chute: I didn't play this game much because it takes so long to run through, but in the few times I did play it, I gained a total of 1755 NP.

Kacheek Seek: I can't recall exactly how many times I played this game, but I earned 1061 running through it on different days and with different pets.

Wheel of Mediocrity: Not so mediocre as you might think; I played 41 times, for a cost of 2050 NP. My net gain was only 790, but I received more items in this game (four food items and two PetPets).
Total money wins: 11
Total money losses: 11
Total items gained: 6
Total negative events: 5

Bank Interest: I neglected to regularly record the bank interest I earned, and only got 21 of the 31 days; in these days I earned a total of 519 NP for doing nothing.

Random Events: Not at ALL reliable, but a way to earn nonetheless…
Money: 122 NP total
Items: 7 total

Spykids Theatre: A very easy way to earn small amounts of NP; I managed to remember to visit 5 times, for 250 NP.

Neggsweeper: This game managed to foil me repeatedly; I managed only 91 NP total; but if you're good at that kind of game (and I admittedly am not), you can probably get far more!

Dice-A-Roo: I never play Dice-A-Roo for the money, and so in playing it I lost 75 NP. However, I did receive 5 items to balance it out.

Giant Omelette: This is a great place to stop off for a free bite, I stopped off 21 items, gaining 8 different types of omelette.

Healing Springs: Another good place to save money, I received three healing potions, four full heals, and two "fully healed and fed" (saving money on potions and food!).

Snowager: I found this less useful than previously, gaining one item and one Icy Blast.

In summary, in a period of 31 days, during which I didn't play every day or do everything I could every day, I earned a total of 70811 NP, 44 items, and I did very little work for it! Not all of these things require a particularly fast connection or computer, nor do they all require a lot of skill or time. Much of this was done at my job, during bursts of free time. Some of the games just need you to practise a little before you get good enough to win lots of money. It's very easy, and if I can do it, you sure can too. Good luck!

(And if you notice the numbers don't add up, there were a few things that I didn't include because they didn't really matter, like rewards for fighting in the Tyrannian invasion, and donations to the Money Tree. You can still make lots of money without them! And if you'd like more details of my study, feel free to Neomail me.)
