Now I, like many of you, have gone on a Quest for Neggs. And I don't mean a Faerie Quest, or a Esophagor Quest or a witch's quest…or even a favor for that darn cook in the Maraquan royal kitchens. I'm talking about the purest, most common type of quest; one based on personal avarice and the urge to improve one's pets. When I went on my personal search, I found that three things were true. a) There are more types of Neggs than there are Neopets. b) They're hideously overpriced in some cases. c) The really good ones can be harder to come by than Codestones.

So with this in mind, and at the prompting of the lovely and talented Gillian, I decided to put my pets on vacation, leave the Sage to mind the shop, and go In Search Of…::dramatic music:: a complete quantifiable list of Neggs, what they're worth, and what they cost! Hopefully this will help those of you Questing for the ultimate Neggy prize…a SNEGG! So without further ado, here we go!

Common Neggs
Brown Negg: Worth 1 Negg point, usually costs under 800 NP
Purple Negg: Worth 2 Negg Points, usually costs between 1k and 4k.
Green Negg: Worth 3 Negg Points, usually costs between 1k and 4k
Orange Negg: Worth 4 Negg Points, usually costs between 2k and 7k
Yellow Negg: Worth 6 Negg Points, usually costs between 3k and 7k
Blue Negg: Worth 5 Negg Points, usually costs between 3k and 6k
Pink Negg: Worth 5 Negg Points, usually costs between 5k and 10k
Rainbow Negg: Worth 6 Negg Points, usually costs between 5,400 and 10k.

And there you have it. If this list ISN'T complete, it's as close as I could come, after hours of exhaustive research. By the way…props as they say to all the good fine people who have Neggs in their shops. If it wasn't for them and the handy-dandy Shop Wizard I never would have known how much all these cost, or how many Negg Points they're worth. Heck, there are some I wouldn't have known about at all! Now, I know that a lot of you are probably looking for Neggs for the Negg points, to save up for a Snegg, Faerie Queen Negg or something else really cool. If that's the case…here's a piece of advice. Hold your mouse over the picture of the item in the shop for a second before you click it. A brief description, including how many Negg Points it's worth will pop up! Some ways to get Negg Points are cheaper than others. Of course if you're collecting them to feed to a very special pet or because you have a Negg gallery this hardly matters.
