Don't Stereotype the Faeries - An Interesting Vacation: Part One

by mew_cat

"I'm cold," Worthing cried pitifully.

"Yeah, we all are. We're all cold, hungry, lost," Wolf began bitterly till I cut her off.

"Wolf, please stop!" I shot at her.

I bent down to Worthing and hugged her. She rarely complained about anything. For this, I couldn't blame her.

"It's okay. We aren't that lost. We'll be okay," I said trying to comfort her. But the truth was I didn't even buy what I was saying. Tiger gave me a look of disappointment. I looked at the ground shamefully then stood up. She knew I shouldn't be giving false hope like that. I sighed and looked back at Tiger.

I was completely lost with my three NeoPets; Tiger a Wocky, Worthing a Shoyru and Wolf a Gelert. We had come up to Terror Mountain as a vacation to celebrate the end of the school year. It was great until Wolf caught sight of what she thought was a Faerie and went chasing after it. Worthing flew after her being her curious self, Tiger followed feeling she was responsible for the two, and of course I had to make sure they wouldn't get into any trouble. It was pretty fun until we lost track of the Faerie And, I admit, we had gotten a little cranky after Tiger declared us lost. So far we have been wandering for approximately two days. I had my backpack with me, but I wasn't expecting us to get lost so I packed light. I had food that could probably last us for about one more day if we ate only what we had to have, a flashlight and a useless map. Useless, because we couldn't see a thing in the fog around us. The flashlight helped guide us through the fog a little until its batteries went dead.

"Well, come on. We all saw that light blink ahead. It could be a town..." I said thinking of how it was such a long shot.

"Oooh, snow!" Tiger yelped dazed.

Even though she is suppose to be the most mature of the three, she still can't escape the part of her that just wants to have fun. Snow was one of her favourite things.

I smiled. She climbed into a tree and jumped from it trying to pounce on a falling snowflake.

"Uuuuhg," I moaned after she fell on my head. I shook my head as I gently picked her up from my head and set her down.

"Oh! I'm so sorr--" Tiger began, but stopped when she saw a snowball flying in her direction.

"Hehehe," I giggled as I looked at the snow all over her. I threw another snowball towards her, but she ducked and I ended up hitting Wolf right in the face.

"Er..." I stuttered.

"Haha!" Worthing laughed.

With the snow still on her, Wolf blindingly threw a snowball. Smirking, I pushed Worthing in it's direction.

"Hey!" Worthing shouted.

After that, it was like an all-out snowball war. It was great, well, at least until...

"...Wha, uh...z that?" Wolf stuttered.
