What happened to Terror
Mountain, the winter wonderland that hosts, in my opinion, some
of the best games in all of Neopia? Ever since the arrival of Faerieland,
Tyrannia and now The Lost Desert, it seems as though this world has been
forgotten. But I am here in hope that this guide may show Neopians how
fun Terror Mountain really is.
Snow Throw: This game is pretty easy, and although it's
not a very good Neopoints maker, it's fun. In the game, you control 3
Grundos that you can move by using your mouse. In the first round, there
is one Snow Beast you have to beat by throwing snowballs. In the second,
you fight two Snow Beasts, and so on.
Ski Lodge: Do you like mysteries? Then the Ski Lodge
is for you. The NeoPets Team has taken a vacation at the Ski Lodge at
the top of Terror Mountain, but one of them has a secret life as a. .
. murderer! One by one the NeoPets team gets killed off, until the murderer
is caught. Even though this game is over, it is still fun to go over the
clues--especially if you missed the game the first time around.
Garage Sale: This is one of my favourite parts of Terror
Mountain. Mika and Carassa, longtime Neopians, are cleaning out their
igloo from all the stuff they have collected over the years, and letting
it go for super cheap prices! Although MOST of the items are super cheap,
watch out for Pet Pets. Mika and Carassa sell them for less than the RETAIL
price, but although the Igloo says it's cheap, always check the Shop Wizard
before you buy a Pet Pet here. Most of the prices on Pet Pets have dropped
much farther than the Igloo sells them.
Alpine Challenge: This game is VERY fun, and pretty easy,
too. You get as many Neopoints as whatever score you get, so if you are
good at this game, then it could be a very good Neopoint maker. In the
game, you use the keyboard to help an Usul ski and do tricks. The better
the trick, the more points you get. You can make them jump, too!
Cliffhanger: If you've ever played Hang Man, then you
should know how to play this game. There are 3 difficulty levels: Easy,
Average, and Hard. If you choose hard, then the prize will be better,
but the puzzle will be much more difficult compared to the easy level.
It displays the letters you can use (you usually don't have all the vowels)
as links, and when you click on one as your guess, then it will load the
page again, and if there were any of your guessed letter in the sentence,
then it will appear in place of a bottom line.
The Snowager: I love the Snowager. Just thought I'd say
that before I explain about him :-) He sleeps only few hours during the
day, but if you can catch him while he's sleeping, you can choose to enter
his cave in hopes of catching a prize. The prizes can be anything from
a toy or a Negg, to a battle weapon. But I'll warn you that more often
than you will get prizes, the Snowager can harm your pets by making their
hit points go down. A simple visit to the Water Faerie's healing springs
in Faerieland can fix that, but it may take a few visits to get all your
pets back to maximum health.
The Kiosk: The Kiosk is one of my favourite parts of
Terror Mountain. If you have 500 NPs to spare, the Kiosk Wocky will give
you a scratch card in return for it. Their rarities and worth vary --
Race to Riches is the most popular, followed by Terror Trove, Faeries
Fortune, and Peak 'O Plenty. The rarest of them all is the Icetravaganza
Scratchcard, which sells for A LOT of Neopoints But the chances of you
getting it are extremely rare. Whichever card you get, you can sell it
for 50+ Neopoints higher than you bought it if you choose not to play,
so I strongly suggest investing some Neopoints and visiting the Kiosk
today.
The Snow Faerie's Quests: Out of all the quests out there,
so far the Snow Faerie is one of my top favourites. She usually gives
you items worth more than what you gave her, and sometimes she'll give
you Neopoints, too! I can't guarantee that she will give you a good trade,
but in my experiences, it's happened the most. If you can afford to spare
a little bit of Neopoints, I suggest you try one of her quests today.
Well, I hope you've enjoyed taking the tour around Terror
Mountain with me! Feel free to Neomail me any questions you have about
NeoPets, or if you just want to chat. I'll try to reply as soon as possible!
Have a great day!
