Fyoras Quest: Conquering the Faerie Caves by neomaniac1603
--------
FAERIELAND - On November 24th 2004 an old game which was the favorite to many
was brought back up-to-date and restyled.
Faerie Caves as this game was called had a main Character who was known as
Garon the Lupe. You were to guide him around each level collecting the different
treasures and keys to unlock the next level.
Garon has since given up exploring the Faerie Caves and now a new explorer
has hit Neopia.
His name is Quaglor and he is the new Character featured in Faerie Caves II
– Fyora’s Quest.
In this thrilling game brought back to life with new graphics and brand new
puzzles you are to guide Quaglor through each level collecting the Gems, Treasure
Chests and different Keys. Each level is a different puzzle for you to solve
but of course no game would be complete without various things that are determined
to stop Quaglor from completing each level.

Items to Collect
Here you will find information on which items you will need to collect and
how many points you get from collecting each one.
Pink Keys – Find these Keys and Collect them. They will allow you to collect
each Treasure Chest found in the level you are in. You do not get points for
collecting this key.
Purple Keys – There is only one purple key in each level. You must find this
key to unlock the door and proceed to the next level. You do not get points
for collecting this key.
Treasure Chest – In each level there are Treasure Chests scattered all over
the place. To open a treasure chest to collect the gold found inside you must
find each Pink Key in the level you are in. Each Treasure Chest collected is
worth 10 Points
Colored Gems – In each level there are different colored gems. Collect these
to get additional points. You DO NOT have to collect all of these to have access
to the next level. Each gem collected is worth 5 Points.

Dangerous/Miscellaneous Objects
In each level there will be dangerous objects. Some you will have to use to
your advantage to advance to the next level. Some which you will just need stay
clear of.
Boulders – Boulders in each level come in different colors. No higher color
has an advantage over the next. They all work the same. In some levels you will
need to push this on a round colored pad to open all closed gates and to close
all opened gates. Be sure not to get in the way of a falling boulder, they could
easily squish Quaglor and you will loose a life.
Balloons – There are usually Balloons in each level, like the Boulders each
are different in color depending on the level you are in and they do not have
any advantage over the next. They all work the same. Pushing a balloon onto
a round colored pad will open all closed gates and close all opened gates. You
will usually only have to do this with boulders. Be sure not to get in the way
of a falling balloon, they could easily squish Quaglor and you will loose a
life.
Spike Traps – Spike traps are evil. If you step on one get out of the way
because it will quickly activate. Staying on one will make Quaglor loose a life.
Setting one off and successfully getting out of its way will block your pathway
so be sure you set it off to your advantage. This is usually the problem for
people to start their level over.
Gates – Gates are found in each level to unlock or block your pathway. To
opened closed gates or close opened gates you will need to push a Boulder or
Balloon a round colored pad. Getting in the way of a closing gate will make
Quaglor loose a life :(
Solid Tiles – Each level has a different faerie theme to suit a different
Uber-Faerie. To destroy solid tiles you must use Green Dynamite. Solid tiles
also hold back boulders and balloons.
Non-Solid Tiles – Each level has a different faerie theme to suit a different
Uber-Faerie. To destroy non-solid tiles simply guide Quaglor through them.
Red Dynamite – Bringing a torch to this colored dynamite will destroy only
it to unblock your pathway or give access to any treasure that lay ahead. Be
sure not to stand too close to it.
Green Dynamite – Bringing a torch to this colored dynamite will destroy it
and everything in its path. Be sure not to stand too close to it.
Torches – These can be found in each level that has Dynamite in it. You must
bring these to the colored Dynamite to set them off.

The Levels
There are a total of 19 levels to complete in this newly released game. Here
you will find short guides to each level along with point totals.
Level 1 (Easy Does It) – Make sure when doing this level you push the boulder
that is laying on top of the solid tile next to the torch right so that it moves
on to the colored pad. When you are done this you should know what to do. Be
sure when setting off the Green Dynamite over to the far left of the level that
you get all gems because the Dynamite will destroy it and you will not be able
to collect it. The total score you should have for completing this level is
50. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points is added onto your score giving
you 75.
Level 2 (Fire In The Hole) – Easy. Just make sure you are not near the long
line of Dynamite when it is set off. Be sure not to lock your self out when
moving the boulder on to the colored pad. The total score you should have for
completing this level is 75. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points is added
onto your score giving you 100.
Level 3 (Welcome To The Jungle) – Quickly collect the Pink Key and Torch located
at the far end of the screen. Watch out for the Spiked Traps. When you do this
in order to get the next Pink Key located above the Red Dynamite go to the top
of the spiked trap. Quickly go right until you are out of harms way. Move down
then go up so that you are not close to the dynamite. When the dynamite has
exploded move down and quickly go left. The total score you should have for
completing this level is 45. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points is added
onto your score giving you 70.
Level 4 (Spiky Mines) – Right, Up, Down. Do this until your last Steel looking
boulder. You must go up and push this boulder over. Also at the bottom of this
level when you have a torch be sure you do not set off the Green Dynamite where
you see a Steel Boulder laying on a solid tile. The total score you should have
for completing this level is 55. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points
is added onto your score giving you 80.
Level 5 (Water Prison) – In order to obtain the treasure chest collect the
two gems but leave the Purple Key where it is at. Destroy the non-solid tile
underneath the Boulder while quickly getting out of its way. The total score
you should have for completing this level is 20. When you exit the level an
extra 25 Points is added onto your score giving you 45.
Level 6 (Crazy Clouds) – This is a pretty simple level. Just make sure you
do not let Balloons or Boulders hit the colored pads. The total score you should
have for completing this level is 45. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points
is added onto your score giving you 70.
Level 7 (Kaboom) – Set off the dynamite accordingly. Be sure not to make a
mistake in which one you set off first. *cough set off the top one then the
bottom one*. You will notice one gem is unobtainable. There is currently no
way to gain access to snatch this gem. The total score you should have for completing
this level is 40. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points is added onto your
score giving you 65.
Level 8 (Evil Caves) – Be quick when moving around in this level so you do
not get caught by the spikes traps. Hint: Move down, set off the Dynamite and
the rest is pretty much a piece of cake. Also to get the gem trapped by the
gate move the boulder onto the pad and before the boulder actually hits the
pad move left and up very, very quickly. Do this once you have collected the
Pink Key which is at on the right side at the bottom. The total score you should
have for completing this level is 50. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points
is added onto your score giving you 75.
Level 9 (Boulder Hill) – Be sure not to set off the dynamite located at the
top of the hill. You will want to leave this unharmed in order to collect the
gems located by the door. The total score you should have for completing this
level is 65. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points is added onto your score
giving you 90.
Level 10 (One Way Streets) – Be sure not to get stuck by the Spiked Traps
in this level. The total score you should have for completing this level is
35. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points is added onto your score giving
you 60.
Level 11 (Diamond Islands) – Be sure not to make a move until the automated
dynamite set off is complete. Once this is done move forwards and set off the
red dynamite. Go down, set off the balloons and the boulders. The rest is self
explanatory. The total score you should have for completing this level is 45.
When you exit the level an extra 25 Points is added onto your score giving you
70.
Level 12 (Heaven Or Hell?) – This is pretty easy. Be sure not to set off the
balloons until you have the torch which is by the exiting door. The total score
you should have for completing this level is 30. When you exit the level an
extra 25 Points is added onto your score giving you 55.
Level 13 (One Way Out) – Make sure you do not have any torches on hand when
releasing the boulders on the left side of the level.. The total score you should
have for completing this level is 80. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points
is added onto your score giving you 105.
Level 14 (Cause and Effect) – This level is basically moving the boulders
in the right position and setting off the colored dynamite. It isn’t hard once
you get the hang of what you are supposed to do. The total score you should
have for completing this level is 15. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points
is added onto your score giving you 40.
Level 15 (Never Trust A Stranger) – Hehe, this is another level I had trouble
figuring out. One thing is for sure, be sure to set off the dynamite near the
colored pad before releasing the boulder to sit upon it. Also make sure you
do not have any Torches on hand when collecting the key in the upper right corner.
The total score you should have for completing this level is 30. When you exit
the level an extra 25 Points is added onto your score giving you 55.
Level 16 (Sneaky Gates) – This is a fairly easy level. When collecting the
gem that is beside the colored pad located at the lower middle screen be sure
to get out of the way of the floating balloon which you will release upon collecting
it. The total score you should have for completing this level is 95. When you
exit the level an extra 25 Points is added onto your score giving you 120.
Level 17 (Many Hoards) – This is a pretty easy level with lots of points you
can gain from with collecting each gem and treasure. You will see a torch in
this level. DO NOT take it. Leave it where it is. You will not need it. The
total score you should have for completing this level is 195. When you exit
the level an extra 25 Points is added onto your score giving you 220.
Level 18 (Missing In Action) – I had trouble in this level myself. I finally
solved it after a few tries. Be sure to collect the Pink Key before it is destroyed
by the Green Dynamite. Yes the Dynamite will destroy even keys. The total score
you should have for completing this level is 10. When you exit the level an
extra 25 Points is added onto your score giving you 35.
Level 19 (Fyora’s Quest) – This is a level very similar to the first Faerie
Caves game. When you move forward or right or left the last space you were in
will fill up with a solid tile. Be careful not to make any mistakes or it’s
restarting the level/game for you! The total score you should have for completing
this level is 70. When you exit the level an extra 25 Points is added onto your
score giving you 95.
