The Secret Origin of Magical Chia Pops by purplekat20

One day while in her magic shop, there was a group of Chias that wanted to morph into something new and exciting. Kauvara, of course, was delighted to help the group of excited Chias! But she had to figure out what they wanted since they weren't sure what transformation they wanted. Unfortunately, she had run out of ingredients to make any more potions. Luckily she is a very clever Kau that knew exactly where in Neopia to find all that she needed. She packed her backpack and set off on her great adventure Her first stop was the Haunted Woods to harvest some magical bark from the Brain Tree in exchange for the answer to his burning questions about; Why do some potions sparkle? Why do some potions bubble? and Why do some potions smell horrible? Of course, Kauvara was delighted to answer all of the knowledge-hungry tree's questions, and this made him very happy. This magical bark is what makes all transformations happen by altering the DNA of Neopets alike, but the downside is that it is very bitter since he is usually a very grumpy tree if his questions aren't answered correctly and promptly. Her next stop on her trip was Remarkable Restoratives High up in the mountains of North Altador in the mystical and serene city of Shenkuu. Anshu, the wise shopkeeper, had lots of potent magical herbs and spices that enhanced the magical effects of the Brain Tree bark. Kauvara was extremely excited to find that he had everything she was looking for and more. All of the herbs and spices Anshu had to offer were powerful, but like the Brain Tree bark, it is an acquired taste that very few Neopets enjoy on its own. She trekked straight to the Lost Desert to Sakment's famous Lost Desert foods. Unfortunately, her trip was in vain, and the shopkeeper sadly informed her that they were out of Bagguss. The Bagguss was important because when you boil a Bagguss for long enough, you can get a magical thick goop which Kauvara needed for the potion. Luckily she has other tricks up her sleeve. Her next stop was Faerieland in hopes they had some magical ingredients to replace the Bagguss that she couldn't find. She visited every shop in Faerieland, and to her horror, she had no luck finding anything. She grew desperate and decided to ask Queen Fyora for her advice. Foyra was surprised to hear of all of the shortages and came up with an idea that she was sure would work. The two of them paid the Fountain Faerie a visit. Unfortunately, the Rainbow Fountain ran out of the magical waters to add to her potion for the Chias. Kauvara was extremely disappointed that this failed as well. Fyora noticed how upset she was about this. Then she remembered a rumour going around about a secret laboratory that she could go to, but nobody knew where it was located. All she could do was give Kauvara the scrap of paper that she suspected was a piece of the map to get to the laboratory. Kauvara was extremely delighted about the hope of this secret laboratory that could hopefully help her with her dilemma. So she scoured far and wide, looking everywhere for pieces of this mysterious map. As she was wandering around the Neopian Central Marketplace, She stumbled upon an interesting wizard hat-shaped building. Her curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to go inside. There she met a very friendly wizard. He was quite intrigued by Kauvaras's story and wanted to help her on her quest to help the Chias. He used his magic and helped guide her to the shops where most of the mysterious map pieces were sold. He did have his limits on where to find them, but he knew the trading post would have the last two pieces she was looking for. She went back to her Neohome to grab her most valuable possessions to trade before setting off to the Trading post. The Trading post was buzzing with activity! There were so many Neopets trading; it was hard for her not to get sidetracked into trading for lots of amazing things for her personal gallery. Many days later, she finally came across a mysterious Kougra that had the two map pieces she was looking for. They haggled for hours until they both came to an agreement, and they both happily traded. Kauvara was absolutely delighted with her trade! She went straight to work putting together the mysterious map pieces carefully and got to work in her shop making a potion with what she had in preparation to go to this secret laboratory. Then set off on her trip. Once she finally made it to the laboratory, she was greeted by the extremely mad Scorchio scientist. He had a strange look in his eye, and she was slightly terrified being in this laboratory, but underneath his bizarre looks, he was a nice fellow who just wanted to help Neopets make their dreams come true. Kauvara explained her dilemma to the Lab Ray Scientist, and he agreed to help her. Sparks flew as the ray hit the potion and the potion she brought started to glow. She knew deep in her heart that this had finally worked. She gave the scientist a big hug and thanked him profusely for his help. When she finally made it back to her shop, the group of eager Chias was waiting with pure anticipation for this magical potion that would finally make their dreams come true. One little Blue Chia was the first to taste it, and to his horror, it was awful!! He spits it right out. Kauvara wondered why this potion wasn't appealing to any of the Chias. She put on her thinking cap and realised she had to disguise the taste with something she knew they would all eat. She asked every Chia that came what they liked to eat. They named so many fruits and vegetables it made her head spin. Then one little Red Chia spoke up and said she loved Chia Pops, All of the Chias' mouths watered at the thought of having a Chia Pop right then and there. Kauvara asked where she could find a Chia Pop. They all said with pure excitement; The Super Happy Icy Fun Snow Shop at the top of Terror Mountain. She was determined to make the climb to make the little Chias smile. She put the potion straight into her backpack and bundled up to get ready for the big trek up the mountain. One little Yellow Chia wanted to go with her because he wanted to be the first one to try the new Chia Pop to see what would happen. The two friends took several days to climb the mountain. They were thrilled to finally make it to the top of Terror Mountain. The friendly Lenny shopkeeper greeted them with a warm smile and showed them all of his chilly and sweet treats. The little Chia asked for a Pineapple Chia Pop. Before he got to taste it, Kauvara added several drops of the very potent potion to the tasty treat. It started to glow, so she knew the magic infused into it. The little Yellow Chia gobbled up every bite. Then the ground shook, and suddenly he turned into a Pineapple Chia!! Kauvara was shocked by the result and pulled out a mirror she had brought in her backpack to show him the shocking transformation. As soon as he saw his reflection in the mirror, he danced with joy all over the shop! He loved being a pineapple so much that he wanted to tell everyone about this amazing discovery. Kauvara was so pleased by this reaction. She bought every flavour of Chia Pop she could get her hands on to see if all of them had the same reaction. She was delighted to see that a lot of the Chia Pops reacted well to the potion. The flavours that didn't react to her potion she saved for her friends to enjoy for dessert. When she was finally finished making her magical creations, all of the excited Chias came from far and wide to try them. They were absolutely delighted to see themselves turning into fruits and vegetables! A wandering Uni wanted to try one. She tried a magical Pear Chia Pop, and that had no effect on her. That is when Kauvara realised the effect only works on Chias. The Uni didn't mind that it didn't work and just felt like something sweet to eat. Today, Kauvara and the Friendly Lenny from the Super Happy Icy Fun Snow Shop both work together daily to continue making Magical Chia Pops.
