Once upon a time, or should I say a couple of months ago there lived a yellow wocky. He was very handsome and cute with a mop top for hair and beautiful yellow eyes; he got all the ladies with his smooth attitude. Until one day when he was brushing his fangs, his owner Skured who was a dope ran up and said quite excited

"My dear little Spootums look what I have bought, a glowing paintbrush just for you!"

He looked at the green radioactive thing and grimaced. Then an idea popped into his head. "I think my sweet Kougra brother Preordained is destined for a change of colour. Why don't you paint him and I will stay the same?" Skured smiled and said "Silly little Spootums Preordained is already painted brown, he does not need to have his colour changed at all." Still Spootums struggled and whined with all his might until Skured tied him in a sack, threw him over her shoulder, and skipped off to the rainbow pool.

Once there she dumped him out into the glowing paint vat. He emerged, looked at himself in a mirror and began to tear. Skured looked quite pleased and said "aren't you adorable! Let's go shopping and show you around town." She bought him candy, a loaf of break and anything else she could think of to cheer him up, but all he wanted was cans.

Soon Spootums had an amazing collection of cans from all over Neopia; he was always out and about gathering them up and stacking them in a pile in his room until the room was completely filled to the brim with cans. He had no time for his friends, family, or even the ladies because he was so busy collecting cans. He was so obsessed with how he looked that he thought none of them would like him anyways.

Then one day while collecting some cans he ran into a very colourful Zafara who had her hairs in multicoloured hues, a large assortment of glowing sticks and neon jewellery, and the strangest clothes he had ever seen. She said she was going out dancing and that he should come to on account of his groovy glowing self. He did not even have time to consider her offer before she dragged him along to the dancing party. He had a wonderful time and made lots of new friends, he was very popular with all the weird looking ladies too. He decided that dancing around was a lot more fun than old cans. And so he glued all of the cans together into a big square building, wired lots of funky lights and made them into a funky dance club were his family, and new friends danced every night and day, and Spootums went from being the frumpy self conscious radioactive Wocky to the handsome, totally awesome glowing dancing machine! Remember everyone is beautiful in their own special way, and becoming self conscious will cause people to turn away. So be confidant and yourself and everything will be okay.
